PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PROCEED
10 Things You Should Know About UniFi

1. This service is a 24- month contract and a termination fee of RM500 is chargeable for termination of service within the contract period.

2. If your premises reside in high rise building served via copper, you must terminate your existing Streamyx service (if any).

3. Minimal drilling is required for fibre installation to the premise. You will be responsible for providing TV and 4-socket extension cord to complete the installation. No installation appointment will be made for premises under renovation.

4. All triple play services (internet, voice and TV) must be activated during service installation. Partial service activation is not allowed.

5. UniFi is a wired broadband service. Wireless connectivity is an option and is subject to interference and obstructions factor.

6. UniFi account owner or authorised contact person must be available during the service installation. For high rise premises, owners are required to make arrangement with Building Management Office for installation permission, internal cabling and access to telecommunication room.

7. Installation fee includes external cable entrance up to the internal wiring with maximum of 15 metres for fiber cable, 15 meters for Ethernet/phone cables and 30 metres for casing (raceway). Additional charges will be applied for cable more than 15 metres and 30 metres casing (raceway) and charges will be included in your UniFi bill.

8. For other non-standard installation e.g. wiring above ceiling, underground and conceal wiring, you may appoint your own contractor or deal directly with TM appointed contractor. Payment will be made directly to the contractor.

9. Please provide correct and valid Billing Address / Postal Address. Select either paper bill or e-mail bill (please provide valid and preferred e-mail address). Bill is also accessible at myUniFi (https://occ.unifi.my). TM may impose a minimal monthly charge for paper bill with notification given.

10. All UniFi equipment provided by TM is subject to 12 months warranty period.

IMPORTANT NOTES (MUST READ)

Internal Wiring
Minimal drilling is required for fibre installation to the premise to allow fibre cable entrance into the house. Internal concealed wiring will not be carried out by TM. However, customers can arrange their own or choose from TM’s authorised list of contractors at their own expense. TM shall propose the recommended list of contractor for the concealed wiring (wall or ceiling). As this is beyond the job scope of RNO, customer will deal and make payment directly to the contractor. Operationally, reappointment is to be arranged when the conceal wiring is completed. Customer is required to inform TM for installation appointment.
Premise currently under renovation
During installation day, TM will not proceed if the customer premise is under renovation unless insist by customer, TM will charge customer accordingly if request for other appointment time. Customers who are having their home renovated are advised to inform TM prior setting service installation appointment. TM shall not be responsible for any damages resulted from construction and renovation done by customer through third party during or after the installation.
Customer Unreachable and Change of Appointment
Premise inaccessibility or deferment of installation appointment upon the installation team’s arrival at a customer’s premise will be subject to a charge of RM100. Re-appointment will be subject to time slot availability.
High-Rise VDSL & FTTH
For high-rise (condos, apartment, office building) ,TM would require to access the MDF/SDF room to physically activate the port which normally locked by the Building Management/Maintenance. Therefore, customers are required to communicate and make arrangement with your Building Management/Maintenance Office to ensure someone is available to grant the access to TM UniFi Installer to MDF/SDF room during the installation time. Without the access to MDF/SDF room, installation cannot be performed and TM has to revisit which will incur unnecessary cost to customer.
In the case of copper wired building that uses VDSL2 technology, successful delivery of UniFi services is subject to technical testing. TM has the right to cancel the order should the building copper wire is deemed as not passing the technical test or not ready to deliver the service.

Installation Guide

From making an appointment to the signing-off of the Service Acceptance Form, here is a complete step-by-step process of how we bring UniFi into your home or office.

Step 1: Appointment

Appointment is made at the point of registration. You may choose your preferred date and time for UniFi installation but please note that installation for FTTx (Fibre to the Home or Office) is expected to take between 4-8 hours, and for VDSL2, 2-3 hours.

24 hours prior to the agreed installation date and time, the TM UniFi Centre will call you for a final confirmation. Our UniFi technician will also call you just before he goes to the agreed address of installation.

Step 2: Site Assessment

Upon arrival at your home or office, our technician will brief you on the step-by-step process of the entire installation. This includes:

(i) Site assessessment (outdoor and indoor)
(ii) Cable entrance (drilling point for FTTx)
(iii) Equipment termination point
(iv) Route of wiring

In the case of FTTx installation, our technician will determine the location of the Fibre Distribution Point (FDP), whether it is located on an overhead pole, or underground. If the underground fibre access is blocked due to any home or office renovation, it may require a longer installation period than for overhead fibre access installation.

For VDSL2, site assessment is much quicker since our technician need only access the building’s MDF room and perform the necessary cabling there.
Note: VDSL2 - your existing Streamyx or Business Broadband access will be disabled during this exercise.

Step 3: Installation

It's time to complete the installation process. As part of this process, some minimal drilling may be required. After laying the cables we will determine which modem is suitable for your home. Indoor installation requires more time as our technician needs to lay the internal fibre optic cable. Cables of sufficient length will be provided. However, in cases where additional cable lengths are required, some minimal charges will be incurred. To prevent unsightly wiring, wires and cables will be housed in proper casings.

However, if you wish it to be a drill-free installation, and if the fibre optic cables are required to be pulled through your home or office ceiling, we have a panel of contractors that you can work with, the costs of which will be borne by you.

VDSL2 does not require drilling since UniFi connection will come from the existing phone jack in your home or office. For this premise type, indoor installation requires minimal setup time.

Step 4: Equipment Setup

After laying all the cables, it’s time to connect the equipment. Our technician will first set up the BTU followed by Premise Gateway, Set-top-Box (for Residential package only) and DECT Phone. Once the equipment is tested and works properly, our technician will then show you that all the services are in working order.

Step 5: Completion

You are required to sign-off a Service Acceptance Form (SAF) as part of the process to complete the installation work. For a complete understanding of what TM UniFi service is, please read the terms and conditions in your service agreement.

Guys I have the DIR-850L router and I upgraded the firmware to 2.08TM recently

Since then I am facing Wi-Fi issues, sometimes it won't work and also few of my older devices can't detect 5GHz Wi-Fi anymore but previously they can detect.

What is the problem ?

You may try downgrade firmware and hard reset and test again.

No. You just have to wait for the upgrade to come
I myself applied for the free upgrade in January and was first promised to get the upgrade in March then in April checked again, they changed it into June

Not worth complaining. Just wait
If after the end of the year we still don't get the free upgrade, then we can all file a complaint to SKMM/MCMC

Dear all,

I received email from TM Takeout today regarding how to register and watch iflix on HyppTV set top box:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

But whenever I visit iflix.com, I only see 30-day free trial (see below), how to fix that?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I tried Firefox, Chrome, MS Edge and even Internet Explorer. Also tried clear cookies. Tried Safari in iPad, tried iflix app in iPad, tried Chrome browser in Android phone etc.. also tried visit from this address: https://partner.iflix.com/my/en/tm/, I will then ended up at the same 30-day free trial offer. bangwall.gif

Just got back from TMpoint Damansara Utama.

Sad for all 100mbps subs (No Discount at all). I should've downgrade to 50mbps last year.
Regretted like shit now.

For those subs rate RM209.00, RM219.00 & RM229.00 for 100mbps is an upgrade from 50mbps (Foc) adjustment from TMpoint & Agents assistance. Not all can get this rate. Selected once only (Whatever that means).

Decided to downgrade to 10mbps Lite. Unfortunately can't be done cause 100mbps subs using different system.

In the end throw me an additional RM20.00 discount (RM259.00 + 6% = RM274.55nett). If someone (Pure 100mbps) can get this rate, this is the lowest rate for existing 100mbps. If you can get lower than this please let me know how you do it.

I've done my best. Disappointed yes but no choice cause I need 100mbps cause sharing with 7 to 8 notebook under one roof plus 5 Iptv.

exactly, that time u should have signed up the rm229 50Mbps because u will get 100Mbps for the same price.

yup. for heavier users or who shared among many users then 50Mbps at rm179 is more worthy than rm129. no to forget rm179 includes ruby pack. so extra rm50 get ruby pack and 40Mbps extra of download speed plus 15Mbps of upload are actually more worthy.

RM229.00 x 6% = RM242.75 (50mbps aka 100mbps) & RM259.00 x 6% = RM274.55nett (Pure 100mbps)

RM242.75 - RM274.55 = RM31.80nett (Different)

For my case. Others I'm not sure.

Next year 31 May 2018 my contract end.

Hope can get fresh discount by then huhuhu.

Unifi sucks! The line is not stable, the statement never send to our home. Reported a few complaints, still same. So we decided to terminate. When called up, the telephone support said can only terminate our line after Jan 14, 2017 without being fine penalty. So we did it on Jan 18, 2017. Now they want to fine us penalty because they said the date should be counted from installation date. How can we expect that the information given by their customer service through phone call is wrong and now they still want to give us fine! Terrible service!!

but that also means u need to spend a lot more to buy storage such as Hardisk in order to store them.

Because 100Mbos to typical home users quite overkilled.
(Not speed only I am referring to but the price paid for)
Rm3xx per month spent on broadband unless one house got really a lot of users are sharing and all of them are doing heavy duty things else it is really not worthy to pay the amount.

Their instruction said we need to visit iflix.com and when you see the Unifi user's offer, click on it to register, then only go to HyppTV box -> iflix app to login using the new registration.

But the problem is, I only see "Get 30-day free trial..." banner, not the "till 31st December 2017" offer.

QUOTE(rajatetra @ May 12 2017, 03:50 PM)
just pm iflix on FB. My case was like this..i cannot access iflix from iflix apps (android tv) without login however still can use browser to enjoy iflix. So, i contact iflix through FB n they required unifi id to identify the problem. In my case, i need to register new account n iflix has transferred remaining subscription into my new account.
*
I already PM them on their FB, but did not get any reply after 24 hours. Anyway, I'll wait few more days and see.

I must remember to redeem my discount via TM Rewards since for sure I will get rid of UniFi soon.

I blindly paid for this month without redeeming anything. doh.gif

My unifi is back online yesterday. The DP that my house was connected to was opened somehow through natural cause or maybe the screws on the unit on top of the pole came off on its own leading to some of the cables became misaligned and such.

Hi All.... I'm from Klang. Last 2 days connection to international servers are seriously sucky. Anyone facing the same issue? I called and made complaints but they didn't flag any problems or maintenance issues etc.

Hi All,
Today afternoon the TM guy will come to install my unifi. Just wondering is the installation do not use the telephone port that already provide by the house developer? My house is landed two story. If i want them to install the unifi on 2nd floor there should be no issue right?

TM seriously not fair...I dont know if they will come with better promo in the future.

They have to reduce the price if not many ppl wont subsribe to future 200Mbps - 500Mbps speed.

I am using 6yr old dir615 router. Would upgrading to tplink ac900 gives a major difference? Double storey 22x70. Usually around 5 devices connected. Looking for a budget solution or am I stretching it too much?

If it is meant to expend the coverage, no point to get any wifi router to replace. Because for low to mid range of wifi router, there is no way to improve it as they will be more or less the same.

It is wiser to go for home plug, it will help and u will get more consistent speed.

It is wiser to stick to the lower possible plan and lower subscription fee as possible. Because tm will have marketing ppl called to offer higher plan but lower price than market.

For premium products, pricing and affordability are not really an issue to those people. Some may feel privileged to be able to pay the premium price.
10-30Mbps is already good for normal users, ie mass market category.

I'm waiting for speed upgrade to 50Mbps... Well let's see how fast they will upgrade..

I also was hoping the price I'm paying get free upgrade to 100Mbps but a lot of users are not able to fully utilized even 50mbps.

I download a lot of stuff daily so just stick with 50mbps upgrade at the moment till tm comes with better promotion in future.

yup exactly. I am on 30Mbos also. Waiting for 50Mbps also.

I cannot utilize the speed or 30Mbps now also since I am the only one using it.

Yeah, no point to pay more for unused. Just wait for good offer from tm before switching to higher one.

They won't use the existing tel ports but if you want to, you can patch the tel ports to the BTU yourself.

No issue with installing upstairs but, in my case, they charge me extra for installation to my 1st floor back room. However others here have encountered no extra charges for the same thing.

Afer a month plus experiencing network degradation performance issues with my unifi 50mbps plan which I only manage to get only around 15-20 Mbps.

TM level 1 and flying squad has collected all the logs and troubleshoot but still failed to resolve the issue and the ticket was escalated to NOC last 3 weeks urging them to manually upgrade my speed asap to 100mbps as my upgrade is due in June (as per system) as they suspect it's due to port congestion issue. 3 weeks plus has passed and no action or update by NOC to act in my ticket.

Finally, I filed an official complain to MCMC, Shazali Ramly (TM CEO) and CTO on Friday morning raising g my dissatisfaction on my issue and also on pure discrimination on the TM pricing plan which why some are paying RM209, RM219 and RM229 for 50 Mbps plan.

Now, I'm just gonna wait and see their response as I have given TM too many chances and time and yet they failed to update or act on my ticket which was logged 1 month ago with them.

Many routers have this feature. Assigning fixed bandwidth to a device or splitting the bandwidth equally among devices. What router are you using? You might even be able to do it already.

What is the software you are using to download? Some languages like Java has weaker network connectivity, hence less line hogging. smile.gif

Qos can do it by controlling bandwidth by protocols, ip etc.

Yup, for that purpose it is ad-hoc. If you set the QoS on IP level, all the traffic will be limited. If you set it on port 80, his all web-related packet transfer will be throttled.
Looks like the only way is to do so is to set by remote IP address+local IP address combination, but it will be a big trouble if he is downloading from multiple sources. So the rule is very specific.

Yes but in OP's case QoS wouldn't help since they are both doing the same thing. "When one downloads, the other can't".

I spose it would depend on how you define QoS. For me QoS is to prioritise certain traffic over other traffic. EG: Skype traffic over http.

samsung got hypptv app for their smart tv... at least for my model #J5505
but never try before

got iflix app too but they need to improve a lot
no continuous play, so not good for tv series marathon
no memory where you stop watching, so you need to start over
no global setting for sub, need to set for every title

Hi all,

Will all existing 10Mbps customers get upgraded to 30Mbps?

I'm one of those original adopters of VIP5 from back in 2011. Been using the same package until they made the free upgrade from 5Mbps to 10Mbps.

Wondering if ppl like will get a speed bump from 10 to 30 by any chance? Cause I've been reading that some 10Mbps users got upgraded to 30.

Thanks.

oh okay... some lucky unifi user already completed 2-years contract received free upgrade to 10Mbps.
Later TM called to give new offer by pay extra RM10 per-month (become RM159) in order to get new speed 30Mbps, then by this year can get free upgrade to 50Mbps!

It took nearly three months to have UNIFI ready after they setup Fiber Distribution Point (FDP) in alley just behind my house, some maybe take longer time! sweat.gif
Be patient and follow-up with TM closely on this matter. wink.gif

In my case .......I still haven't got my unifi installed on second house.
Fiber cable installed for more than a year without FDP.
Distribution box installed on end of Feb 2017.
Agent came around neighbourhood* and convinced me to sign up with promise of 30 --> 50Mbps in beginning of March...
Until now, no update aside from agent informing me to wait until end of June for installer to call. bangwall.gif

If can see the distribution points, it means everything is on green light already.

Sure will get activated.

Mine is one month time later after the green distribution point installed.

Normally Agent go around and get someone sign-up with them to get more commission once FDP is in place.
They cannot do much, still need to refer to TM. sweat.gif

From my experience, the whole thing takes 6-9 months!

When I had the poles fully erected in October last year, they said it's on December.

Then on December, they said due to budgeting issues, they move it on February 2017.

However on late February they begin to install cables and DP. Only on middle of last month they have activated the Unifi and we start to use the services from that day onwards.

If possible, gather your residents or neighbours to make noise about it. bangwall.gif

Previously, yes there was an RM300 relocation charges. But it has been waived for quite some time now

However, I'd suggest you to call TM 100 helpline to confirm

They will come to check your current BTU see whether is old huawei 100Mbps port BTU or new huawei 1000Mbps port BTU. If you still using the old huawei BTU they change the new huawei BTU for you.
FYI with your current router most of your devices wont get full 100Mbps on wifi, in order to get full 100mbps on wifi you need an AC router.

You can put back the tm router when they come, they might change the new AC router for you.

If my sister registers a new account for Advance 30, it's RM 199 now. Mine only RM 179 and already upgraded to 50Mbps. tongue.gif
Plus, she doesn't need to go through 24 months of contract, mine left with 4 months now. laugh.gif

The drawback is gotta pay for relocation fees now. laugh.gif

90 degree bend is possible but it will increase the fibre reading which wont be good. usually they will smoothen the sharp bends to make it 'loose'

Yes curve it a lil bit would suffice. Just bear in mind to minimise the amount of bends along the fibre cabling. Good reading from source is around -16dBm to -20dBm (my personal preference). Anything higher still can use as long lower than -26dBm but performance is debatable

Eh no no. Im on 50M now and i got the 100M upgrade bro. nod.gif

I already did my upgrade from 30M to 50M last year. But that one was not "free". They basically tweaked my plan a little bit in order for me to enjoy 50M at the price of 30M that time. Basically what they did was removed my premium hypptv channel and just give a basic one. I'd say it worth it. biggrin.gif

I can never reach that kind of speed by wifi 2.4ghz. cry.gif
max I can get is around 20-30Mbps only.

I can reach 100Mbps using lan and 5ghz
but many of my devices not compatible.

If you all can get that speed by wifi 2.4ghz
please guide me. Thank you notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

u cant get 100Mbps with 2.4ghz single stream wifi adapter. Mojority devices only come with single stream wifi. All my smartphone and tablet max can get 80++Mbps on 2.4ghz
.
you need atleast 2 or 3 stream 2.4ghz wifi apdater to get 100Mbps. But be noted even if you have more than 1 stream 2.4ghz wifi adpater, if it's far always from the router u cant get the speed u wanted too.
For laptop and PC, u can buy a 2 or 3 or even 4 stream wifi adapter. For smartphone and tablet, than u cant do anything about it as it's the hardware limitation, just stick with 5ghz.

1 have an old 3 stream 2.4ghz wifi usb dongle, and it can get full 100Mbps

This is the speedtest result with 3 streams 2.4ghz wifi usb dongle.

From my experience while using 2.4 ghz so much interfearence from other electrical device. While using 5 ghz.. smooth til the max.. either using lan cable or 5ghz can get full speed. 2.4 ghz sometimes 10-15 mb ..

Went to TM Point Quill City Mall this evening, the crowd was huge, big difference with what I have visited back in November last year. laugh.gif

Lots of huge TVs playing HyppTV channels in background, iPads to play and has a PS4 there to kill customers' waiting time. laugh.gif Plenty of chargers to charge your devices while waiting. Bravo I must say for TM Point to have all these facilities. rclxms.gif

Unfortunately, all the number before me were there for termination... sweat.gif I saw everyone with big bags of equipment. sad.gif

I was there to relocate UniFi to my sister's house and they wanna install on Monday itself! However, my sister is only free on weekends, so made appointment for next Saturday. What a long wait huh? laugh.gif

I also asked about the auto-debit, unfortunately I cannot have two active orders at the same time. Only after relocation is done, I can do it... Think again, I might be lazy to drop by again. Let's see. tongue.gif

I'm currently a 50mbps user.

I started using Unifi back in 2011 with 5mbps and 2-3 years back i renewed my contract and upgraded to 30mbps. They upgraded my package, renewed my contract but did not give me a new set of set top box.

Recently they upgraded my package to 50mbps while the set top box is still the one from 2011. I asked for an upgrade to my box but they're asking me to renew my contract again.

I do not want to pay for the new set top box and do not want to renew my contract (why should I?) since they did not gave me a new box when I renewed my contract to 30mbps back then (technically they owe me a box). Can I report to MCMC on this issue and get them to help me upgrade the box?

Yes, Digi Infinite 150. I wanted to but thinking to relocate to my sister's house is better. At least she gets to enjoy my discounted package with upgraded speed, 4 months contract left and my Huawei WS880 router. laugh.gif

Her port was just activated this week. Luckily on time, else 4 months later I will terminate it. biggrin.gif

Just went to TM point with my Father to transfer ownership.
Fee is rm10 but need to pay rm75 deposit. The lady said it is the deposit for the service. But the way she said is very unclear.

TM telephone or unifi need to pay rm75 deposit one?

Was cheated by the lady at another TM point before this also. She said under contract cannot transfer ownership. Bluff ppl one. Wasted 5 months of rm25 rental becos not under the same name.

I'm not sure but apparently cannot have two active orders at the same time, looks like I have no choice but to wait until everything is OK only do ownership transfer.

I just noticed that there is Unifi LITE now. Is it possible to downgrade from 30mbps to 10mbps? I just want the cheapest plan possible. Currently paying RM179 (without GST) for 30mbps.

Cant unless if you still with streamyx. For 30mbps onwards they have their own standalone system. 30mbps is the cheapest and lowest you can get.

they had trapped certain groups of users to sign up before the promo of free speed upgrade. so at least these groups of users must wait till 2 years to terminate and reapply for free or terminate now by paying rm500 and reapply again.

The old VIP20 is RM 249 (VIP 20 is already comes with IPTV but only with FTA channels, no HyppTV Pack),

then upgraded to 50Mbps, since the price of 50Mbps plan without HyppTV pack is RM 219, they add Aneka Pack RM30 to match my old price.

Did you get what I mean?

In your case, your UniFi 30 is RM179,u get RM179 because you are enjoying a RM20 discount with 1 HyppTV pack.

So when u get upgraded to UniFi 50 which is RM 219 (base) + 30 (HyppTV Pack), the amount will be 249.

But you only pay 179 for your new pack coz TM will give RM 70 discount to match your old price.

aahh...i was under the impression 20Mbps is cheaper than 30Mbps...so it's a difference scheme for VIP20

perhaps you can fight for rm159 on 50Mbps (one user here has this package)...worth a try

VIP20 was the highest package before Advance and Pro packages kicked in, that's why the price is also expensive.

RM159 for 50Mbps is either
-from staff package or
-double upgrade or
-missed up HyppTV pack in the subscription.

I got my free upgrade to 100mbps today. Unifi provided me with a new modem and router.

Can I still use my old router (Asus rt-a68u) by just connecting it to the new modem?

Or is there some special settings that require the new router?

Thanks in advance for any info/help on this matter.

Hi guys, I am newbie here when it comes to unifi. My area just has unifi. I am enquiring on weather unifi lite can handle tvbox smoothly? Also I am wondering how is the speed like. Can it really hit 10mbps? I am also playing ps4. Can it handle online gaming well?

Tm ask for 450 for underground fibre optic installation which cannot be waived.

Lol haha what a coincidence, btw have u tried using the N12HP antenna to your TP-Link router? does it work? able to extend wireless range? D-Link router the one TM gave me today doesn't have any outside antenna, so can't try to replace the antenna with my N12HP 9dBi antenna. Sigh... sweat.gif

As of now im using my N12HP directly, yes cannot get full 100M, now hovering around 83M like that, its quite ok for now, need to hunt for router that match with N12HP range. biggrin.gif

Hi bro, i want to ask if its possible to switch from Maxis to Unifi without termination fee? I have been dealing with disconnects for days almost weeks, once every month, i have no idea why. Always "concentrator not reachable and authfailure"

Whenever the TM people come over behalf of Maxis, they couldnt find any problems because they come so late my connection was back. But then it repeats again and lost connection. I have made 4 reports in 5 months of service because of this and i'm at my limit.

It takes more than a week for Maxis to come over and i am left hopeless in that duration. Just want to ask if possible to terminate thier contract from all these problems im having... cheers.

seems like maxis fibre connection is always having problem. i have two unifi connections, one is at my house and one is at my parent house. both are running perfect without issues.

although maxis is providing higher speed and slightly cheaper pricing (used to be but now comparing to unifi lite, it is more expensive).
but they are still riding on tm infra, so any issues or problem, u may end up dealing with two groups or more of ppl.

lucky i did not choose maxis. else may stuck with them for 2 years contract.

i think u cannot switch without termination fee since u are under contract.
but if u want, u need to collect solid evidences of the regular disconnections and press maxis hard to resolve it, if no, report to MCMC then force maxis to terminate your line without penalty.

They take 2 days for technician to call, then set appointment to come 1 week later. In the end they ask TM to come which is under Unifi. Might as well i pay Unifi service then?

Ya i regretted it, thier technical service is shit, ive been redirected to technical assistance 3 times in a row in one phone call. All they can say is "Sori, we make report 4 u, call u back later k"

I hope 4 report complains enough to terminate the damn contract.

how many more months of contract u have? maxis mobile is good, but their fibre is tapped on tm, so in the end, tm unifi should be best.

i have no complaint about unifi. and i heard maxis blocks certain things as well. unifi is totally free from anything.

constantly made complaint until they can let u off without penalty then.

they said 14 days, but if they had done everything correctly during ur new application, the streamyx a/c will be terminated within 1-2 days after installation.

i had done two unifi installation in nov and dec 2016. all terminated automatically no issues. smile.gif

except that the portion that linked the unifi to the telephone line (copper one) for rm1 per month instead of rm26, they did not do it automatically, i still need to go to tm point to manually do it after the installation and claim the rebate of those extra monthly fee charged. mad.gif

Sigh... sweat.gif

As of now im using my N12HP directly, yes cannot get full 100M, now hovering around 83M like that, its quite ok for now, need to hunt for router that match with N12HP range.  biggrin.gif
*
Your N12HP can get till 83M? Mine was around 60-70ish while on 2.4GHz Repeater Mode. I don't think N12HP coverage is big enough though

Don't worry. The discount will show in statement later. My discount is RM 70 per month, previously it was only RM 20 on Advance 30.

I got my free upgrade to 100mbps today. Unifi provided me with a new modem and router.

Can I still use my old router (Asus rt-a68u) by just connecting it to the new modem?

Or is there some special settings that require the new router?

Thanks in advance for any info/help on this matter.

Went to TM point today and they mentioned there is no promotion of Advance 30 Mbps. RM199 with 2 years contract.
I saw from FB that some UNIFI agent able to provide it at RM179 without HyppTV and phone.

Any better offer for new subscription ?

If u are new to unifi and do not need such high speed, u should consider unifi lite which is as Low as rm129. Since now 30Mbps has no more free speed upgrade.

Games - PS4.

Music - Spotify.

What's left to download? Any suggestions?

You need goto the TM authorized dealer (not direct TM) to subscribe rm179 package with hypptv&phone and will end by mid of june.
*
Thanks for the info. I did called up TM dealers and they can offer RM179 package but they want to charge for installation.
I was told the package will last until this month.

Mid of june confirmed ? Coz I will only move in after August and prefer not to install unifi till then.

Until mid of June is the period that TM given to the dealer to clear off all the RM179 package.
If you stay at landed and need to pull the fibre cable then of course need to charge for the installation. Else if pure TM unifi setting installation (modem/router) is FOC 1.

OK ... the previous owner already have the UNIFI installed and the fiber optic cables are still there.
I asked them if they can waived the installation if the cables are still in good conditions but they replied depends on their boss.

Yeap below 100, never reached 100 yet even when using tm dlink ac router.

Highest i got on 5ghz is 97 like that, and highest on 2.4ghz is 91.

But since im using rt-n12hp router now the speed varies from 60 to 90 tops. Average around 70. Really unstable. sweat.gif

Anyone else having issues in shah Alam sek7 area? Restarted btu and router several times but lots of sites not accessible, switched a couple of dns servers, via different public ips. Not quite sure what's going on. DiGi line working just fine. Hmm.

Hi guys I just activated my unifi 2 days ago.

Never heard the 30Mbps -> 50Mbps free upgrade anymore.

Am i still eligible for it ?

I felt it is unfair because wanted to apply unifi when the promotion period but unable to install due to residential area not available yet.

bro sekalian, wanna ask after 2year contract with UNIFI... normally do u guys renegotiate for better term and upgrade on the facilities (modem, router and hypptv) to reestablish product warranty on its parts

I got an offer from Maxis, they offer 189 for 30mbps and free calls , thinking of taking it but would like to check whether can renegotiate with UNIFI to give me more better deal.. currently paying 210 for 30mbps although got hypptv but jus ruby pack and no free calls.

The problem could be physical, maybe the fibre cable is broken, could be within the house or outside the house.

Happened to me two weeks ago. I think the BTU light was red on my fibre unit when the issue occured. Turns out the fibre cable is broken, maybe it broke due it being old or some pest bit it. The fibre cable was routed through my kitchen to the back of my house when TM set it up years ago.

Called TM early in the morning, they came in same day in the afternoon and linked the cable back.

Got the 50Mbps upgraded to 100Mbps this morning. Installer came and supplied the D-Link DIR-850L AC1200 Wireless Router. The old orange wireless router refused to take back....

I have no issue wire the RouterBOARD 750 from MikroTik.

It could be related to your unifi account. Try to reconfigure your unifi account again on the router as this is a common issue and if still not resolved, then it's network related

If the AUTH and LINK lights on the modem are not lighting up, does it mean there is a hardware fault or a networl fault?

Wifi is working but no Internet connection.

Service down but no technician feedback or update. What do you think?

Report to skmm. You dealing with human, if you scold them, do you think they will work harder to solve your problem. You can put a pressure but no point mad with the front end. You can telling them you mad/angry at TM, still not arranging the technician to come and so on but never directly mad with the front end / customer service officer. Unless it's their fault la, like not putting in report and so on. That's what I think..

Instead of complain at TM. Complain at complaint.cfm.org

Or go flip table in Singapore.

Frustrating yes but nothing helps if you scream at people. Communication need to get thru. Scream and people shut down instead

Just wondering if I'm the only one facing this issue in OCC. I noticed they have made some changes to their subpages. I just wanna check out my package after relocated to my sister's address and I clicked "Modify Bundle" and it directed me to a page which TM marketer will call me to offer me packages? huh.gif

I wanna show my package, it just doesn't load.

Anyway, praise them for simpler page to pay UniFi with credit cards.

I had the same situation early this morning.
After press on "Modify Bundle", it will open new page to https://www.tm.com.my/singleboxslof/Pages/GetItNow.aspx , together with my details in it.
As mentioned in checkbox, it stated "I understand that by clicking on the 'Submit' button, I am allowing TM to contact me on Broadband related information, updates and promotions. " before you submit it

I know nothing of Tenda routers so will be of limited help to you. For it to work directly with Unifi, it'll need to support vlans. Some routers have a preset for Unifi or Maxis like Asus or TPLink. Some require manual config of the vlans like Mikrotik, Netgear or Ubiquiti.

Does it have a Malaysia specific firmware?

Free of charge as they only use a small box to link the cable. They did notify me before coming that if the problem comes from the router and they replace it, they will charge me if the router is out of warranty.
