Finally, i move away from 47Mbps club to 52Mbps club. Recently, I am getting 52Mbps instead of 47Mbps. Recently, there is tm maintenance in my housing area. Maybe because of that?  rclxms.gif

Many here at reported similar hike in speed from various location, most likely TM is performing some tweaking on the bandwidth shaping

Hopefully you faced the same issue too.
Service down but no technician feedback or update. What do you think?

Just kidding mate....take it easy...sorry if I have offended you

Mostly for 50Mbps upgrade to 100Mbps as the router needs to be upgraded to support the new speed.

I recently gor upgraded from 30Mbps to 50Mbps and no technician was required.
*
True, hence when during your 30Mb or 50Mb upgrade if a AC router is given, then you wont be getting any new router with your upgrade, unless its faulty

Did that and now I have a conclusion.

I think it is my phone. When I place my phone right on top of the router, it gets around 43+ Mbps. The best it got was around 45Mbps. Strange thing is the upload speed can always hit the max of 20Mbps ++.

Either the band of the router wifi sucks or my phone sucks. Might try to resolve this with a new router or just leave it alone for now.

My router is DIR-615 which I think only runs 2.4Ghz band. This could be the issue.

Yup, its very much device depended as well. some are capable of receiving better reception from router other are not.

Some of my devices, gets the same bandwidth for 2.4 and 5Ghz as well

For all UniFi subscribers, don't forget to use your TM Reward points...

Can redeem voucher to view pay per view VOD or offset your bill.

Thanks for the reminder...never really bothered to look at the points...need to check how much the redemption returns are

Just putting it up here...since some of users here wondering about the router capability

I have DIR850L,

The max on 2.4 is 144Mbps
The max on 5Ghz is 6XXMbps

Many still fail to understand, if you receiving device is not capable (notebook, phone, etc) obviously the bandwidth is gonna be lesser.

I recently fill my form to register for UNIFI. And then the very next day I got a call from TM UNIFI Department representatives asking me if I agree to set up UNIFI in my house. Obviously I said yes.

She said in a week a contractor of TM will call to set up appointment and come to my house to finish installation of UNIFI.

Thing is its already been a week flat. No calls from any contractor whatsoever.
What should I do now? Is there a time period of more than one week before TM contractors contacts me? Or perhaps they've forgotten about me lol...
*
Do call them and inform the contractor have not contacted you, hence they will escalate. Sometimes these contractors kinda and pick and choose which location to perform the installations first.

dlink 615, about 20mbps and connected to 1 PC.
*
Dlink615 is a 2.4Ghz router, hence the only thing i could suggest is to check the channel setting on the router.
Use Wifi Analyzer on your cellphone to determine the best channel (not congested) and do your speed check.
