You have to sweet talk to them (Personal touch). Dont scold them. They will try to help you up.  Also all depends on your luck.

That's y I got additional Rm20.00 disc from RM299.00 to RM279.00 for my 100mbps.
*
Still expensive with the rm20 discount.

Just got back from TMpoint Damansara Utama.

Sad for all 100mbps subs (No Discount at all). I should've downgrade to 50mbps last year.
Regretted like shit now.

For those subs rate RM209.00, RM219.00 & RM229.00 for 100mbps is an upgrade from 50mbps (Foc) adjustment from TMpoint & Agents assistance. Not all can get this rate. Selected once only (Whatever that means).

Decided to downgrade to 10mbps Lite. Unfortunately can't be done cause 100mbps subs using different system.

In the end throw me an additional RM20.00 discount (RM259.00 + 6% = RM274.55nett). If someone (Pure 100mbps) can get this rate, this is the lowest rate for existing 100mbps. If you can get lower than this please let me know how you do it.

I've done my best. Disappointed yes but no choice cause I need 100mbps cause sharing with 7 to 8 notebook under one roof plus 5 Iptv.
*
exactly, that time u should have signed up the rm229 50Mbps because u will get 100Mbps for the same price.

QUOTE(monkeybeh @ May 12 2017, 11:57 AM)
But Lite is way too petty for your heavy usage/sharing.
*
yup. for heavier users or who shared among many users then 50Mbps at rm179 is more worthy than rm129. no to forget rm179 includes ruby pack. so extra rm50 get ruby pack and 40Mbps extra of download speed plus 15Mbps of upload are actually more worthy.

Hahahahaah indeed
*
but that also means u need to spend a lot more to buy storage such as Hardisk in order to store them.

Because 100Mbos to typical home users quite overkilled.
(Not speed only I am referring to but the price paid for)
Rm3xx per month spent on broadband unless one house got really a lot of users are sharing and all of them are doing heavy duty things else it is really not worthy to pay the amount.

I am using 6yr old dir615 router. Would upgrading to tplink c20 gives a major difference? Double storey 22x70. Usually around 5 devices connected. Looking for a budget solution or am I stretching it too much?
*
If it is meant to expend the coverage, no point to get any wifi router to replace. Because for low to mid range of wifi router, there is no way to improve it as they will be more or less the same.

It is wiser to go for home plug, it will help and u will get more consistent speed.

TM seriously not fair...I dont know if they will come with better promo in the future.

They have to reduce the price if not many ppl wont subsribe to future 200Mbps - 500Mbps speed.
*
It is wiser to stick to the lower possible plan and lower subscription fee as possible. Because tm will have marketing ppl called to offer higher plan but lower price than market.

I'm waiting for speed upgrade to 50Mbps... Well let's see how fast they will upgrade..

I also was hoping the price I'm paying get free upgrade to 100Mbps but a lot of users are not able to fully utilized even 50mbps.

I download a lot of stuff daily so just stick with 50mbps upgrade at the moment  till tm comes with better promotion in future.
*
yup exactly. I am on 30Mbos also. Waiting for 50Mbps also.

I cannot utilize the speed or 30Mbps now also since I am the only one using it.

Yeah, no point to pay more for unused. Just wait for good offer from tm before switching to higher one.

What is the software you are using to download? Some languages like Java has weaker network connectivity, hence less line hogging.  smile.gif
*
Qos can do it by controlling bandwidth by protocols, ip etc.

Yeah, it's really great. Love it.
Yes but in OP's case QoS wouldn't help since they are both doing the same thing. "When one downloads, the other can't".

I spose it would depend on how you define QoS. For me QoS is to prioritise certain traffic over other traffic. EG: Skype traffic over http.
*
Can define by source ip.

The infrastructure is ready doesn't mean it is UNIFI ready, still need to wait for TM to activate it.  doh.gif
It took nearly three months to have UNIFI ready after they setup Fiber Distribution Point (FDP) in alley just behind my house, some maybe take longer time!  sweat.gif
Be patient and follow-up with TM closely on this matter.  wink.gif
*
If can see the distribution points, it means everything is on green light already.

Sure will get activated.

Mine is one month time later after the green distribution point installed.

Normally Agent go around and get someone sign-up with them to get more commission once FDP is in place.
They cannot do much, still need to refer to TM.  sweat.gif
Yes... it will get activated, just the matter of how long we have to wait for TM.  doh.gif
My own experience was nearly three months waiting.  sweat.gif
*
yup, once see the green box, the wait will seem even longer comparing to without green box. tongue.gif

i am glad to use the unifi at my house here for 5 months now. tongue.gif

If my sister registers a new account for Advance 30, it's RM 199 now. Mine only RM 179 and already upgraded to 50Mbps. tongue.gif
Plus, she doesn't need to go through 24 months of contract, mine left with 4 months now. laugh.gif

The drawback is gotta pay for relocation fees now. laugh.gif
*
so no transfer of ownership just purely relocation?

for unifi under contract can transfer ownership if want?

I will still transfer the ownership later. Relocate first, saves the headache.

Yes, can.

Ic. Because I got ask tm point before whether I want to get the rm1 monthly on my parent's house copper telephone by tying it to the unifi at my parent house but under my name. They said cannot because the copper telephone line there is under my father's name.

Then I asked if I can transfer my unifi line to my father so that the copper telephone line can get rm1 monthly fee, they said csnnot. sad.gif
