Something is not quite right. Received SMS/email informing me that my package has been upgraded to 50mbps, but I am still maxed out at 30Mbps download, 10Mbps upload.

Any recourse for this?

Did you Off and On your router?
*
I would switched the router/modem off whenever I leave the house.. It does count as Off/On my router, right?

Mostly for 50Mbps upgrade to 100Mbps as the router needs to be upgraded to support the new speed.

I recently gor upgraded from 30Mbps to 50Mbps and no technician was required.

True, hence when during your 30Mb or 50Mb upgrade if a AC router is given, then you wont be getting any new router with your upgrade, unless its faulty

I just subscribed about a year ago, 30Mbps package. I am given the white router/modem, not sure if this can handle 100Mbps?

Test the speed using wired connection. Wireless 2.4GHz have interference and the speed can't exceed 30Mbps.
Since your unifi upload speed is 20Mbps , the download speed should be 50Mbps.

So the technician would need to come and give wireless router with higher GHz to resolve this issue?
