Just sharing about Flexi-Payment Plan Offer for Quantam Card

My statement on 24th every month, so I tried to called to be covert for flexi payment on 24th the date.

Surprisingly, the first month of payment was "delay" until next month of statement, it post on 25th rclxms.gif

Good news! Great eastern portal has enhanced feature and looks like we can pay the insurance premium online now! Have not tested but soon to report if there is success case

I just received the card application succeed SMS, and previously i chose to self collect at one of their branch.
Wanna ask, can i directly go and collect the card on the same day or do i have to wait few days?

Normally in the T&C stated you cant get gift from both side.

It's either Ringgitplus or PBB promotion.

Has anyone carried out multiple transactions with MBPJ site for cukai taksiran and also got back cashback? For example, if cukai taksiran amount is Rm300, did a transaction of rm60 x 5 on MBPJ website?

Also, any better alternative?

Good news to share.
For TIME bill, the auto-debit trick with TM/Unifi works too.

My bill is RM 149; I subscribed to auto debit online.
I paid in advance of RM 147 and I left RM 2 as outstanding to pay for.
Auto debit gives RM 2 discount and it really offset that RM 2 outstanding.
Now my bill RM 0.00

Auto-debit with PBB VS or QMC + RM 2 discount from auto debit. rclxms.gif

Actually you don't have to do this. I have been getting rm2 discount for close to 2 years now. As long you signed up for autodebit, you will get that discount.

Hi there, anyone signed up for the "Apply Now for PB Card & Take Your Choice Home Campaign" with PBB Visa Signature?

As it is only one card, do I need to spend RM300 on the card to quality for the luggage/Shopee voucher, or just RM150?

For quantum, you will get two cards so need to expense rm150 on each card

Yup. Save the hassle. What I did is sign up autodebit using my BigPay card, but pay with any online cb cards. Or better still, find some sellers in Shopee who offers time bill with discounts to further add the benefit. You have total control.

Ya, normally i put RM25 remaining which equivalent to around ~9% rebate off the auto billing

already clearly stated in the TnC...
use QV for other expenses after you exceeded the VS quota or apply VI for 0.3% CB for everything else

U can't do that. Unless u get your supp card to open an account with public bank that u can check the e statement

Easiest way is to update the email address so that public bank will send you the e statement to your registered email. Cons is u need to know n monitor how much you have spent with your supp card manually since you can't check online

To my understanding, the TNC refers to other cash back campaign but not cash back that comes with the card benefits. Online tx sure entitle both cash back in card benefit and Spend now 4 more cash back campaign.

I registered using BP just for the sake of registering. I pay most of the time using online cb cards/shopee. But there's one time I forgot and autodebit kicked in on BP card without issue.

err... all the while online transaction is given CB for both guaranteed CB and campaign CB, unless they got others promotion campaign running at the same time.
BP reload is also one of a kinda online transaction.

The details of the purchases which the Cardmember intends to pay by instalments under the Flexipay must be made known to PBB/PIBB 3 days after the purchase is made and 5 days before the next statement date.

Yes as the TnC said it is tracked based on NRIC.

My PBB Quantum application got rejected. I thought it would be a cinch to get a approval apparently not. Does opening a savings account only a month ago with idle usage can contribute to the rejection?

I would bet RM50 on it. I wouldn't even mind doing transaction Tuesday morning, but Wednesday a bit more dicey already.

Don't be fooled by the kiasu posts on here, majority of consumers got better things to do on Monday morning than swipe credit cards so many times.

except for recent rm10k/month cc reload, there is no other fup to reload. check bigpay's official channels and t&c.

the reload issues is a known reliability issue from bigpay for weeks now.

If you got the OTP and you key-in and click submit then chances are bank already process the payment but the merchant did not pick it up only.

I contacted bank PBB earlier and they confirmed that it went through. You can also call them to double confirm your transaction.

Happened to me as well, but in PB statement it showed 6 transaction.
Checking again just now shows BP statement is already well reflected.

Of course I know Boost can pay some utilities bills.
But direct cash back is not possible with PBB VS and/or PBB QMC.

So for TM/Unifi bills, have to use other payment channels.

Shake reward depends on luck; you may end up with nothing (RM 0.00)!

I've applied for PBB quantum cc two weeks back by sending application directly to their email but then found out public bank has rejected my application when I called cs to check last week.
Then I reapplied thru ringgitplus but with similar documentations, submitted on last Tuesday. How long does it usually takes to accept/reject ones application ? And what are the probability of me getting rejected again? Lol really wish to get the card. sad.gif

P/S: I've fulfilled the annual income requirement to own the card.

I got rejected when i call up, giving up and they called me on the following day"s" asking question related to the document i submitted, so I call again and got "pending for document verification" then next day morning call up "rejected", 2 days later.. i received SMS that my application is successful and asked me to wait minimum 3 business working days. I've yet to receive the card. But not really in a rush. The entire process from submitting document to receiving the SMS is about 2-3 weeks for me

Topped up RM60 * 8 on 6th August and another RM60*8 on 13th August , the CB of RM50 will only be credited after 2-4 weeks right? My statement is 20th August, so far never see any CB being credited yet

The card feature cashback should be credited on your statement date when statement generated.

The promo cashback takes a while. Most recent disbursement was for Week 3 (16-22 July), and that was made on 13th August (so about a month later).

Yes the card cashback was credited but the promo cashback is no where to be found, i read from post from this thread that generally the promo cb seems to be credited around 3-4 weeks

Do i have to set the pin for each card?
Becoz the OTP sms i received shows the same card ending even i choose another card....

Obviously it'll be considered as two cards since you can cancel the PBB QV if you're no longer need it.
This is totally in contrary to MBB2 AMEX/Visa or AMEX/Mastercard whereby cancelling the companion Visa/Mastercard will terminate the AMEX too.

Based on my experience and observation from previous implementation, they'll charge CST on the next anniversary date.
For existing cardholder, it could be hard to waive unless offset using reward points.
For new cardholder, in order to attract them to sign up, they'll offer CST waiver.
Don't flame me if my analysis is not up to standard comprehension.

of course im aware nothing is confirmed as long as the official terms and conditions and out. but im just following up on my query regarding whether quantum will be considered as one or two entity in terms of sst from the official channel, and also to those who asked me to share after I got the feedback.

July 15....too late for week 2...

you have to swipe from Monday of the week....from July 16.... for week3

You'll get the cash back... in around a month.... case-point: Week 4, spending from 23July, CB in 21Aug.

It took me 3 weeks to get my quantum card approved (receive sms confirmation). The cards then arrive my house few days after received the sms. So you might want to wait more patiently.

For me reapplying serves no purpose... your cc application get rejected because your criteria doesnt pass the minimum score requirement. The bank officer have a set of SOP in processing the application... Its not easy for the credit officer to override the decision by the system. In fact for some bank, they actually penaltise your "score" for frequent application within short period of time because its a sign that you need money and your financial condition is not good... Good luck. smile.gif

I'm not quite well aware of these kinds of "hidden rules" setup by banks, sweat.gif just wanted to get the card though haha. I just called cs earlier and stated my application is currently "pending for documentation", what does this mean? Does it means they are processing my application since I did sent in the necessary documents when I applied?

about your quantum visa. it would be counted, eventhough unactivated. sst is imposed to per card issuance, not per activation. best is to terminate it if u want hassle-free. since you already gotten the card, likely wont get charged this year. it would get charged on next anniversary.

But that one is FCFS and they have no obligation to notify if the weekly pool has depleted.
Cardholders can still blindly try to swipe with the hope of winning especially those who're not savvy

As what David said. Everytime you swipe your card, the banks earns a small commission. So in the case of the contest, if you swipe and never win anything, banks are making a money from you Now if the banks were to waive the fees or everyone, that's incurring cost.

By same logic banks can absorb CST because if they do so more will keep the card and use it. Anyway the main earning source is interest in late payment, not the swipe fees which is split to MasterCard/VISA.

i got 3 prudential insurance which is current giro using citibank...
so would like to confirm the prudential personal/accident insurance able to have 6% cashback.

i have 80+ cards, wont cancel them until confirmed SST charged then only cancel.

Almost all my cards AF=0 or waived, i heard if AF 0 or waived then SST wil be 0, then keep all.

Wise cards i pay fees, even with SST still will keep.

This is misleading.. SST is not new things. everyone should know they charge SST to all credit cards.. prepare to pay 80+ x 25 if you do not cancel any cards in the future.

Stop speculating on the CST till banks make their own official announcements.

Whatever you heard on the news is the general requirement set by the government/Customs: RM 25 per card per year on all credit & charge cards inclusive of supplementary cards

I plan to cancel my quantum visa card since there will be a rm25 ST charge to the card on Sept..Any idea what can i change with just 1000+ vip points on that card? Feel a bit waste if just burn the points like that.

My friend swiping rm150 in Big Pay cause wanna achieve the Public Bank Take me Home campaign for the Luggage.

I forgot to ask him when he swipe but just now he called PBB and the customer service said that Big Pay swipe is not consider as retail transaction.

Hence he’s not entitled for the luggage requirement until a retail transaction of RM150 being hit next time.

Does this affect the 8x Spend for more campaign?

Cause BP is not retail transaction hmm.gif

for your friend, he asked CS which they wouldnt know exactly eligible or not.

your wife's, wait for the luggage lor, then only confirm whether bigpay is eligible for acquisition campaign.

as per the document uploaded here - Even cards with no AF or AF wived will be charged service Tax!
Quite clear there , but surprisingly CS officers i asked :
Ambank Liz, Aeon Hafizi, CIMB Tisya, HLB Ms Ling, even doublechecked with her manager Juliana
MBB Arif, all unable to confirm charges will be on 1.9.2018 or at anniversary dates.
their reply, no memo received yet" , "pls call back next week." ended up i have cancelled quite many of under used cards.

Don't blame the banks and the officers.
Till today, SST Acts are not officially approved and gazetted. The guidelines from Customs were just published a few days ago but it must be implemented in less than 2 weeks.
Now waiting for Agong and Finance Minister to finalise.
Our Government shouldn't rush to repeal GST and implement SST.

depends on the companies, whether they were auto-registered to SST. if yes, effective 1 Sep 2018.

those companies did not auto-register to SST, they have a small grace period to take effect 1 Oct 2018.

Yea, i'm helping my wife doing the BP thing, so she received the call to confirm for delivery.

Both them same week (Week 4 of July), but friend doesnt receive

Charging for RM50 or not, still unofficial from bank yet.

Apart from the SST charge, yes you can cancel either one card.

Based on current info released by Customs, highly likely is RM25/card, regardless the card come in combo or not. If you have both Quantum cards, then RM50 SST in total (RM25/card). And unlikely PBB will absorb SST...

Hi. I've done a search through the earlier thread regarding a question. Is it correct to say that if i apply a supplementary card for my pbb quantum and opt for the separate statement (hence separate limit), the cashback entitlement will not be combined for the principal and the supplement cards? Ie. Rm30 cb for visa and mc each for principal and rm30cb for the visa and mc each for the supplementary card?

Yes. Supplementary with separate statement will has its own card benefits cash back quota; not share with principal cardholder.

have a question for the sifus here - Previously for my first PBB card of VS I did the AFT in branch as there was a promotion. now I just got my Visa Quantum card does the AFT auto activate oso? or do I need to go branch to sign another form for the card or I can do it online? I combed the whole PBe Standing Instructions part but there's no option for Card payment rclxub.gif

Also apparently there was some problem in embossing my other Quantum card and I am not sure when it will arrive... if it comes in Sept do I need to pay the RM25 SST?? Or since it is approved already I dont have to worry about it .. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Normally you call up CS also no use.
As you heard they mention need final management approval, you can't do anything even through you push them.

Just take an easy way.. If you receive an sms been approve on Sept, then it is up to you willing to pay SST or not.
If you OK for it, then just pay for SST.. If don't want, then need to call them not need send the card to your doorstep.

If it's approved after September 1st, just call the bank to cancel it.
You have the right to do so if you haven't use the card.
I don't see what is the big fuss over there.

It is subject to the bank wanna help u to absorb sst or not.

Or you apply for 1 CC, but you will receive more than 1 CC from the bank (eg Quantum)
Or you hold 1 CC, suddenly you receive a letter from the bank enclosed with other new CC.
Quite common before 2010, and during GST.

if card approved after 1 September, before activation call up and cancel the Quantum Visa, see whether need to clear the SST charges first before can cancel or don't need.

I got rejected also even got Car Loan. Get the car loan and the officer help me apply CC. Rejected also~~~ Happyy
I tot got Car loan and easy to get approval for cc application.
But the answer is NO!!!!
They lost one of the customers. I dont want apply anymore. Really poor customer service compared to Maybank. Their internet banking is 1990year one. Really poor.

After 5yrs finish my car loan and I will not choose PBB anymore seriously.

cant agree more on the internet banking and CS side haha. Their internet banking seems so ancient in term of design / functionality lol. Need pay own card also need click here and thr then only can be done.

The CS so far is the worst among the 1 i encounter(MBB, HLB, CIMB).You call them to request 1 form at 9am, then u will get the form at 9pm biggrin.gif

I don't apply car loan in Pb.. Their interest rate crazy one..
Some-more need to see what car model you want to loan.. If it's local car, they don't want do the loan with yours one.
Quite realistic this bank..

For me, their customer service is quite efficiency than others. But sometimes depend your "amount" inside or you spend how much. If you balance quite a lot, they serve you as king or queen..

Typically macam Singapore style one.. whistling.gif

After all hassle.. did u get it approved in the end? maybe u can try to appeal at ur own branch?

I just realised that pb cc dont label any of their cards.. it just had numbers only... i have infinite, visa signature, qmc, qmv plat.. but they dont label words on it like other banks..

after years only i realised.. i guess im old liao...

Cancelled Maybank Ikhwan last week as well. Both banks also did not try to make offer to retain. I guess they see I still have cards with them and just didn't bother

Yeah I heard some forumers say can appeal .. and eventually successfully get approved

I have no idea how.. all my cc .. some they call me.. some pre approved.. some offer and i accept.. so far i dont have bank islam cc only among all malaysia banks

First year annual fee is waived for principal and supplementary cardmembers. Subsequent years' annual fee waived is subject to 12 swipes in the preceding 12 months.

Guys for the above, 12 swipes in the preceding 12 months means a total of 12 usage per 12 months are suficient?? If i use my card mainly on online purchases, does it count??

What actually does the swipe means? nowadays we dont swipe the card any more but we use pin/pay wave right? hmm.gif

That is very strange and different from my experience.

I have many many principal and supplementary PBB cards, and several of them are used exclusively for online payments (e.g. only paying bills online and purchases) and never taken out of the house. I've never been charged AF on any of them since 2011.

Maybe others can share their experience too just for consistency.

Even the departmental store in Sunshine (actually the entire Sunshine, at least for Bayan Baru one) also falls under groceries category.

Just want to ask if it is possible to have a balance transfer to this new PBB Quantum card at 0% interest or NO one time charge from my existing installment plans from HSBC Amanah?

These installment plans are just big ticket items such as electronics on installment basis until 2019

And also is it possible to get two quantum cards? One for master and one for visa as both has different cashback categories.

Please advise.

Im just hope PBB will do some offer to customer for waive the SST such deduct point/ more CB....yearly charge RM50 is not worth for me cause im not heavy spender and average RM8 - 15/month CB...

I hold Platinum and VS from HSBC, the only reason I kept the Platinum until it almost expire was cause the one of the numbers was 8888 hahaha! I used the PPL access twice since I got the card earlier this year tongue.gif. But I have the PB VS as well, also can access PPL la.

I'm applying for Quantum, basically eye-ing on the Master Card since I always max out the VS cash rebate anyways (well, who doesn't here right? just RM633 only...)

I think VS is not part of the promotion, unless there are other promotions that I'm not aware of? Or they changed the T&C. I remember a few cards, probably those listed below, are not eligible.

Guys, i have a credit card i wish to cancel due to SST before november (aniversary issue date), but the problem is i have ZIIP instament ongoing for this card until January next year... so what should i do now? so if i wish to cut it, that means i need to pay the outstanding 1 off?

You have to check:
1st check any penalty charges if early settlement, see the amount of penalty fee

2nd pay RM25 or penalty fee ?

hey guys, just got my quantum card and gonna start spending for the 288 shopee promo.

Upon sending the sms I get a msg TQ for your registration but I'm not sure if the registration is successful. Do you guys get any msgs indicating if the registration's successful?

Also m wondering what's the definition of retail transaction. lol, if I spend on those departmental store like AEON does them count? What about restaurants? Haha.

hmm... i am not aware of any penalty charges tho... hope it will be less then rm25. this card has merely 0.2% cash back meaning i have to spend RM125000 for just absorbing the stupid SST, really not worth it doh.gif

When is your card renewal/expire month?
RM25 SST will only be charge on your renewal month for existing card. While new card charge on the first issuance day.
If your expire month is after january, then you can cancel the card after last payment of ZIIP and not incurred RM25 SST.

My quantum cards were approved on 16/8 and now ready for collection at card collection center, now need wait another 10 days as they were suppose to mail me rather than me collecting it. Basically I am off the hook for paying SST until next year August right?

I think only email. To be honest, PBB is really super strict among all banks I have in Malaysia for credit limit increment despite my CL has 6 figures.

First time failed, second attempt failed, third time took 3 working days for them to approve for the increment

Yeah that's at least from my personal experience

most of the banks auto increase.. but no idea with this public ... nevertheless, it's still a superb bank for its CC I'd reckon!

i think the best way to increase limit is to pump in some credit into your credit card. meaning if you want to swipe Rm100k for a RM25k limit card. u need to pump on RM75k into that credit card.

Do you still received PB (DGP) Cashback Bonus using the BP reload? I didn't see my latest 28th statement for both VS & QM.
Is possible PB not consider cashback anymore for BP?

Yes Till 23/8.
Maybe BP reload is now excluded from online rebate. Wait for a few more confirmation.

Can you please also check whether your VIP points increased by the same amount as your BP reload? If you received VIP points, it may mean that BP reload is excluded...

Please share.

The cashback you are mentioning is your monthly 6% (capped at RM38) which should be reflected in latest statement?

Open your latest statement and look at the bottom table for VIP points. Is there an increase? If so, does this tally with your BP and other non-qualifying spend?

so this is my 21st Aug statement and all 711.90 consist of RM696 of Big Pay reloading and i still get Full RM30

Double checked & re-load PB webpage and right now showed available cashback on the 28th statement. Mean till date PB still good use for BP reload.

Called up CS to request for sms notification for each transaction..was told it's not possible anymore for card with pin & paywave.

Hmmm..maybank cc can still give sms notification even for rm1.

My previous statement was all BP + dining, didn't gain any VIP. Guess BP still eligible.

oh ya, you all didn't say i also didn't notice the (DGP) CASH BACK BONUS 38.00 is gone from my August statement.
But however the balance is still deducting the RM38, you might need to recalculate again.
Maybe their system forgot to write out but still they calculate.

i check back the statement printed one day after the statement date there is no display there and yet the statement balance included the calculation.
and now i check again it appear in the online statement.

They expedited my request by rejecting my application smile.gif

I think I'll wait a bit before I try other banks. See if any new promotion to cover the first year SST. I'm existing card holder, so I don't get the goodies for new card holders.
