QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 29 2018, 02:20 PM) PB Card Services 0321768000 I too tried to give this number a call, and it said it has been approved You can try this one, last week when I called up it says processing or in progress. But the problem is i just applied the card on 27th August 2018 night, and supporting documents submitted yesterday. Could it be that fast?? |

QUOTE(saboteurs @ Aug 29 2018, 09:53 AM) I think only email. To be honest, PBB is really super strict among all banks I have in Malaysia for credit limit increment despite my CL has 6 figures. First time failed, second attempt failed, third time took 3 working days for them to approve for the increment QUOTE(saboteurs @ Aug 29 2018, 10:07 AM) Yeah that's at least from my personal experience Haha, I have a different experience though. Posted this in the m2c thread earlier. Got my CC approved with PBB (my first CC with them) but Maybank rejected my application to increase my credit limit (not even a new CC application most of the banks auto increase.. but no idea with this public ... nevertheless, it's still a superb bank for its CC I'd reckon! Well I know some will be able to point out some 'weaknesses in my application' if you look hard enough but yea. 'Rejected' on 1 criterion only? The funny thing is my monthly income now (not even taking into account others like bonus etc) is only a few hundreds RM below my current MBB CC limit. Even submitted my BE Form! Overall, was very disappointed with MBB This post has been edited by timo1003: Aug 29 2018, 05:37 PM |

QUOTE(timo1003 @ Aug 29 2018, 05:34 PM) I think the people processing the credit cards don't really care. They still get paid approving or rejecting your application. I got rejected by Hong Leong twice spanning 15 years. The first time was when I just started working, pay exceeding the minimum requirement for the then Silver card. I never bothered with Hong Leong since then. The second, they asked me to apply.....so it's a waste of time filling up all the long application form and supporting docs. And I have money with Hong Leong despite poor credit score (no loans). This post has been edited by beLIEve: Aug 29 2018, 05:42 PM |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Aug 29 2018, 05:27 PM) Oops, i think system didnt help me to quote on other ppl's reply. original poster complained no cb using VS and QM, so another user asked to check VIP points.I was refering to this lowyat forumer post : if BP excluded from VS/QM's cashback eligiblity, then there will be increase in VIP points. which is why your QV will always get VIP points because it has no cashback at the first place. QUOTE(timo1003 @ Aug 29 2018, 05:50 PM) And to me, no point in putting FD with them just to secure a new CC (possibly one with higher credit limit which would achieve your aim) if you can put the money elsewhere for higher interest. Just move on to the next financial institution. I didn't FD with Hong Leong to get a higher credit limit. I FD'd with them because they were giving the highest interest at that time The only thing I ever asked, is to reduce the credit limit but the bank said that's the minimum already. Back then, there's no SMS verification so it's kinda risky if the card number gets stolen. A friend who's having a big fat loan with them got some free credit cards with a big fat limit without having even to fill up the application form. QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 29 2018, 06:15 PM) here's a thought: bank is assessing you alone as an individual. I don't disagree, though I feel some are just sleeping on the job. The credit scoring does not care whether you have money to pay back. It just checks your past records. I've already read a few articles. No credit score is as bad as bad credit score, which is ridiculous. As long as everyone agrees that, no harm no foul.even if your friend same pay as you, it doesnt mean both have the same financial scoring and assessment. For his case, yes, big fat loans + good payback record (and of coz, he's loaded with $$$ much more than me) vs me with no loan + no record + enough money to pay for the little credit limit I was expecting. I was just expecting like 2-3k credit limit. Either way, with all credit scores, I still read credit card debt is still worrying here. |

Sometimes if the bank branch manager knows you well, they can write a recommendation letter to support u. I have helped a friend a get a loan from a xxx bank which he really not qualify anymore but with a recommendation letter, suprisingly he got the loan approved. For his case, yes, big fat loans + good payback record (and of coz, he's loaded with $$$ much more than me) vs me with no loan + no record + enough money to pay for the little credit limit I was expecting. QUOTE(christcwl9 @ Aug 29 2018, 04:48 PM) I too tried to give this number a call, and it said it has been approved I don’t think PBB is that efficient for card application. MAybe u can just check with the CS instead of the IVR. the approval status maybe is for ur existing card which u have.. But the problem is i just applied the card on 27th August 2018 night, and supporting documents submitted yesterday. Could it be that fast?? QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 29 2018, 05:08 PM) |

OK. Great. I'm glad the confusion is sorted and it appears BP still eligible for online spend CB as per normal.
Thanks for verifying info so that no panic caused. |
