I've applied for PBB quantum cc two weeks back by sending application directly to their email but then found out public bank has rejected my application when I called cs to check last week. Then I reapplied thru ringgitplus but with similar documentations, submitted on last Tuesday. How long does it usually takes to accept/reject ones application ? And what are the probability of me getting rejected again? Lol really wish to get the card. P/S: I've fulfilled the annual income requirement to own the card.

QUOTE(Lon3Rang3r00 @ Aug 21 2018, 09:49 AM) I got rejected when i call up, giving up and they called me on the following day"s" asking question related to the document i submitted, so I call again and got "pending for document verification" then next day morning call up "rejected", 2 days later.. i received SMS that my application is successful and asked me to wait minimum 3 business working days. I've yet to receive the card. But not really in a rush. The entire process from submitting document to receiving the SMS is about 2-3 weeks for me They seemed so hesitant on your application. Anyway thanks for info!

QUOTE(mbpdroid @ Aug 22 2018, 04:52 AM) Is it possible to reapply so soon after getting rejected? Thought have to wait 6 months? Yeah I applied for quantum cc as well two weeks ago via pb online application form and send it to their card services email. Got rejected in the end. Let me know the outcome of your application via RinggitPlus QUOTE(Michael_Light @ Aug 22 2018, 08:22 AM) For me reapplying serves no purpose... your cc application get rejected because your criteria doesnt pass the minimum score requirement. The bank officer have a set of SOP in processing the application... Its not easy for the credit officer to override the decision by the system. In fact for some bank, they actually penaltise your "score" for frequent application within short period of time because its a sign that you need money and your financial condition is not good... Good luck. I'm not quite well aware of these kinds of "hidden rules" setup by banks, just wanted to get the card though haha. I just called cs earlier and stated my application is currently "pending for documentation", what does this mean? Does it means they are processing my application since I did sent in the necessary documents when I applied?

QUOTE(Michael_Light @ Aug 22 2018, 08:14 AM) It took me 3 weeks to get my quantum card approved (receive sms confirmation). The cards then arrive my house few days after received the sms. So you might want to wait more patiently. That's a big contrast compared to MBB which only took less than a week for me to get my cards.

Quite a funny case for me. I've applied for Quantum cards by directly email to cardsmarketing@publicbank.com.my back in July. 2 weeks later the CS notified me its declined by PB. Then I applied through Ringgitplus again within the same week after being rejected. Towards the end of August, CS contacted me for additional document i.e. payslip. After a week or so I check with the IVR, it informed my application was unsuccessful again lol. Then I written a lengthy email to them for appeal, on MOnday. This morning received call from PB asking which branch would I like to collect my credit card as my application was finally successful. I was in doubt for a moment when I received the call lol, since I did not expect the appeal to work, I even double confirm with the CS haha. Time to plan for fully utilize my future cards This post has been edited by beaverknight: Sep 6 2018, 04:20 PM

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 6 2018, 04:22 PM) not funny, that's normal when the usual application channel was rejected but subsequently approved after appeal process (probably by thorough review and/or management approval) I see, just all the hassles to finally approve my application was funny to me though. Could've just let me thru at the first try, since I did not provide anymore additional doc after the payslip. Either way, finally got the card i was looking for.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 6 2018, 04:36 PM) simple: you failed based on their internal risk assessment. not matter how many times you apply via normal channel, it'd still fail, unless you're deemed not risky to the bank. the appeal process is to review your argument and/or additional documentation to support the appeal. you're lucky to be approved after appeal. some might still rejected also. Guess it worked this time. Good for me.

Couldn' find my answer in this thread. So here's my question: Will I get cashback under departmental cat. by swiping QV in Aeon to buy an iPhone? As I remember they do sell mobile phones and electronic gadgets in some Aeon mall, marketed by SNS network. Want to utilize the cashback for this card for my purchase. QUOTE(David83 @ Sep 13 2018, 05:30 PM) If the receipt shows as AEON Departmental, then you'll get the cash back. But if the receipt shows AEON SMKT or AEON Wellness, then you won't be getting it. Mixing CC terminal in AEON is rather common especially during their members' day! THanks for reply, may I know what's the difference between Aeon Departmental vs Aeon SMKT? In particular, what kind of purchase would generate those respective receipts? I suppose SMKT = Supermarket? So there're 3 types of terminal in AEON: Departmental, SUpermaket and Wellness. Correct me if I'm wrong. This post has been edited by beaverknight: Sep 13 2018, 05:39 PM

QUOTE(David83 @ Sep 13 2018, 05:39 PM) AEON SMKT == AEON Supermaket. Usually it's registered as groceries MCC. The section that sells wet stocks. QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 13 2018, 05:40 PM) aeon smkt = supermarket = groceries section. departmental = general merchandise stores I see, so it's the AEON wet market where it sells the crops and groceries. So I guess purchasing mobile phone would fall under departmental category. Thanks sifu This post has been edited by beaverknight: Sep 13 2018, 05:43 PM

Not sure if this info regarding SST will be removed by mods, but here it goes:
Apparently, NO SST will be imposed on non activated cards until you activates it. Double confirmed with CS this morning.

QUOTE(skty @ Sep 27 2018, 03:32 PM) According to my checking with the PBB customer service officer, and comparing the TNC of take home campaign and spend to win campaign, BigPay reloads are eligible for take home campaign. Did you received your rewards for spending RM150 per card on BigPay reloads? The reason I asked because I am uncertain if BigPay reloads are considered as quasi-cash as the TnC stated its not eligible.
