QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 22 2018, 09:35 AM) interesting. you really dont know about SST? Bro I leave work at 6am and come back at 10-11pm. No time for papers. Or reading news on phone.unless govt says otherwise, the current arrarngement still stands. rmcd very slow, i'm still waiting for the act/pua/industry guidelines. about your quantum visa. it would be counted, eventhough unactivated. sst is imposed to per card issuance, not per activation. best is to terminate it if u want hassle-free. since you already gotten the card, likely wont get charged this year. it would get charged on next anniversary. Will only cancel once SST is in force. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Aug 22 2018, 09:49 AM |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Aug 22 2018, 11:42 AM) And the RM50 a week promo doesn't cost them? Everything got cost/benefit analysis one, not as simple as "cost means non". As what David said. Everytime you swipe your card, the banks earns a small commission. So in the case of the contest, if you swipe and never win anything, banks are making a money from you Now if the banks were to waive the fees or everyone, that's incurring cost. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Aug 22 2018, 11:57 AM |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Sep 1 2018, 01:52 PM) 4. ALWAYS MAKE FULL PAYMENT - STATEMENT BALANCE BY DUE DATE, avoid pay less after deducting the extra rebate that you earn and credit due to reversal of transaction, after statement is issued. Wait let me get it straight. If I have RM1k outstanding balance. If you pay less than the statement balance, you will be charged at 18% (for new cardholders) on outstanding balance including the unbilled transactions. Eg 1 When statement out, still RM1k. But few days later got rebate of RM50 Pay RM950 or RM1k? Eg2 Before statement out, rebate RM50. Statement amount RM950. Pay RM1k or RM950? |

What's the best amount to topup to maximise Cashback for QMC (5% CB + Cashback4U promo)?
1. Reload RM480 2. Reload RM600 3. Reload RM960 For me, my calculation is RM480 is the sweet spot as you get max CB. Would to hear others comment. |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Sep 4 2018, 06:07 PM) If you are confident to win by just spending on BP... (But don't get addicted to BP) What I want is the highest % for the least spend. I only topup BP and spend on essential (stuff which I need to pay for anyway). Less than RM1000/month of spending. Maximise CB amount, not effective CB %. Without 5% online rebate, effective CB% is 8.3% (15/180, 25/300) or 10.4% (50/480), which is much better than CB % you get from M2 Amex, Ikhwan Petronas etc. So stop using the cards for a few months! If you intend to withdraw from ATM, RM6 cost to withdraw RM3000, so cost per topup of RM60 is RM0.12. Don't gain from Online rebate doesn't mean you lose 5% (RM3). So you spend/invest RM0.36/RM0.60/RM0.96 to strike RM15/RM25/RM50. At your own risk! So what's the best amount to topup? I calculated was RM480 (RM60x8). Am I wrong? |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Sep 4 2018, 06:33 PM) If spend RM480 (RM60x8)Cashback4U = RM50 5% of RM480 = Rm24 Total = RM74 Effective CB = 15.41667% If spend RM60X8, RM60X3 Cashback4U = RM65 5% of RM600 = RM30 Total = RM95 Effective CB =14.39% I think I will stick with RM480/month. No need greedy. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 4 2018, 07:21 PM) this is where u always missed the part of the real indirect benefits instead of cold hard numbers. If you don't spend that much, no point topping up. Topup only what's needed. I don't game the system like withdraw cash using Bigpay.else 8xRM60 will just suffice for you. you don't ever lose a cent, you gain max cb. heck, you don't even pay more this is just 1 week for 1 card that you're holding. how about the remaining 3-4 weeks? |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Sep 5 2018, 06:36 AM) Cashback need to be compared with what you could get elsewhere. Even if you take away the RM30 (don't get it at all) just the Spend More 4 Cashback 10+% beats EVERY other card currently available in Malaysia. That's the thing. I don't really spend. I keep my spending to RM300+/month. Excess put into BigPay to help pay bills for others.Unless your monthly spending really only RM480 then understandable (some don't like withdraw BigPay). But if you are also using some other card for any other type of transaction then you should maximize PBB campaign cashback AMOUNT, not percentage. No point I every month topup and don't use the amount I money. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Sep 5 2018, 08:13 AM |
