anyway, just to share with you some excerpts from few auditors that I know:
-better to work in a medium-sized firm, get study sponsors, work for a long time and wait to take over the business.

i am not sure if they have manage to this so far!

but one thing i want to highlight that, to a certain extent and within a time period, working life will involve slaving long hours, with exception only if you do not wish to learn and grow steadfastly. especially so if you are new to an environment. the longer you have worked, you will learn to manage your time and work better, hence less hours slaving. this being spoken from a personal experience.

Starting: 2.3k for a yr, revised later. but bond for 2.5yrs. If failed to bond, i gotta pay them back. -> are you talking about cimb bank or cimb investment bank? If you got into the investment banking training programme, I would suggest you to take up the cimb option. That is, if you got an offer in corporate finance in big 4 too. The reason behind this is cimb investment banks do more deals than corporate finance big 4 in m&a, IPO & etc. You will get more opportunities to learn.

However, if you are talking about cimb bank management trainee programme, then it is a career choice between corporate banking and advisory -> which is subjective to personal preference, since they are not similar in job nature.

Rm14k per month...i am curious about the hours, how many hours do you work in a week average?

Are you saying RM 3K for salary or RM 3K increment ? If increment then it would be same as holding your company for ransom. It will leave a sour taste between you and management even if they agree.

dude. 2300 is consider high la. even my pay was only rm1700 upon completing my business it degree.

The DRAM company IMHO looks like the best package at the moment......so wat if got 1-2 years bond? Dun tell me u onli plan 2 work 4 less than a year than cabut?? 1-2 years seem quite reasonable 2 me with all da above mentioned perks involved......adding up all da allowances ur salary bout RM5-6k a mth lo.....still wan consider meh....

But of course make sure u ask around bout the work environment, turn over rate as these factors might influence your final decision....

No need consider direct jump to DRAM company.
Or you just make a poll lor, sure 90% choose this lar.

Unfortunately I decide to take up the R&D Engineer post as that's where my interest lies. Another reason for me not to take the DRAM offer is because, I am married and I am not willing to relocate for 5-6 months to Melaka. I told them that I have to turn down their offer for this particular reason and ask them to contact me again once they shifted to Senai permanently next year. Must be dumb not to take this offer.

You work 3+ years already married, so lucky. I work 3+ years still finding, single so lonely Plan go back university take MBA and find my future wife haha.

Actually we need to work how many years only can get the MBA? After get the MBA can switch fields since i want to leave from IT field liao, so many outsourcing going to India really need to change path. Susah cari makan too many cheap labor competing.

I got friend who get CGPA 2.2 with weak english but now monthly earning RM30k, because he is pioneer in his company geting monthly incentive 10k+, monthly investment 8k+, salary and monthly bonus 6k+, damn unbelievable since i don think he is so smart also wor, technical stuff he not strong but very pro in designing stuff like Flash, Web design, Photoshop (The company is his friend intro one).

Then came to forth year, lost interest in sales, backside itchy approach my boss and got transferred to a newly developed marketing dept. Got stuck with my current salary.

There are more stories to tell, maybe i would continue later.

Btw, am i really underpaid? my boss is a nice guy, but loyalty can't feed me and my loans. Should i go? I got a degree in E&E and finishing my MBA soon. Sighh.....

Hmm... to my surprise, based on my own research, there are tons of MBA in the market right now, and MBA cant guarantee a good pay. What's important is not the skill or qualification, it's the previous company that you worked before. I see big MNC comp wont take ppl from small potatoes company like me... Sigghh....

i still don't think many msians have MBA ... so if comparison with MNC they still take in Masters and MBAs ..... even if u see the current advert on newspapers they are looking for MBA for BAT .....

If you are a fresh graduate, not recommended to go MBA with little experience. MBA courses are mostly group discussion based, with the lecturer being the facilitator. How are you going to contribute your knowledge when you never manage a subordinate or a client before? Better gained some experience first. Even after you graduate with an MBA, it doesn't guarantee an increase in your salary, unless you graduated from a top tier MBA school abroad and join a multinational company.

100% agreed. Better to get some exp before get your MBA..reason as analyzed by knwong..
