Was just wondering what is the industry salary rate for my career, and realise that i can really find a reference, as our country's labour law / union are not strong. the Law / Union mainly to protect the blue colar low earners.

so wonder what is the salary you guys earning. Is it at par with the industry, better or getting squeze by the boss.

we dont have to go into exact figure, but a general +- RM200 or rm300 will be the guide. The objective is to know the industry rate, so we as workers can demand more in the future!!!!

Maybe you guys can respond to the following :

Job Title :
Job Desciption :
Company : Good if got name, else just put MNC, Listed, Non Listed, small shop
Industry :
Tenur : permanent or contract
Employment Level : clerk, junior exec, senior exec, asst manager, manager
Experience before joining : any workign experience (years and industry relavance)
salary : RM ????

for myself,

Senior MIS exec
IT related
MNC Bank
Banking
contract
senior exec
2 1/2 year with MSC status Co and Listed Co
3000+-

Oh and before anyone mentions theres another thread doing the same thing let me point out that that one was only IT specific. I'm curious about the rest of the industry i.e. Media, Advertising, Telecommunications, Banking, Education etc...

January mah. Some companies give bonus this month instead of last month. laugh.gif don't want to start the year feeling shortchanged.

Besides, when you go for job interviews they usually ask you about expected salary. So at least if we have a database of salary ranges to consult from, you can know what to ask for and not look like an idiot if you say ask for a RM4000 salary as despatch rider (just an example lah) The interviewer will know you did some homework and that shows initiative on your part. Helps make you look good.

I'm not kidding. And I don't work for my dad. Actually there are jobs out there that earns more than me for freshies too. Just gotta look hard enough.

Well, actually, Mgmt Trainees in most companies go on rotation basis from dept to dept and are given job functions within the depts so they can learn how the whole operations work. These attachments usually last a few months.

This depends on how a company wants to handle them though. For me, I'm put into a full role within my current dept and will go on for 6-9 months. In fact, I might not even rotate and stay put.

Those jobs saying mgmt trainee but give you sales job or "dog's" job that no one else want to do, that's NOT mgmt trainee, just trainee.
