Hi ronasdfghjklzxc
Well, editors always tell us...if we dream to be wealthy, then journalism is the wrong field...but salary wise..based on experience and academic qualifications...
To be honest, journalism might not be career which gives you the best of monetary satisfaction BUT nevertheless....we've got lots of perks that no other careers entitled you for...
We get accessed to places not usually accessible to normal ordinary people...we get to meet individuals of which many just get to see on TV or from newspapers or magazine...we get to talk to film makers, celebrities, ministers and all sorts of people to even the most ordinary people who has got interesting tale to share....

Added on May 28, 2008, 8:10 pmOh yes, apart from getting the allowance for traveling domestically or overseas for assignments...and most of the time...journalists are treated like VIP....not that we ask for it...BUT we were just 'pampered' that way...
And usually, traveling assignments are fully sponsored..and sponsors are kind enough to put us in luxury hotels...we get to stay and eat at these places in order to do the reviews...and we get the 1st hand to try almost anything to get our story done!! So, what else can we ask for???
