Job Title : Customer service rep
Education level: Diploma grad / Business IT field
Job Desciption : Receive and handling requests/enquiries via email/fax/phone
Years spent in company : 6 months
Company : some MSC company
Industry : Busines Process Outsource / Customer service
Tenure : permanent / 2 years contract
Experience before joining : internship with same co. for 2 months
salary : just above 2k

I am diploma grad, work in the company for 6 months and getting just above 2k salary. I would like to know if this is ok.

I must say that I am quite comfortable with company as its location is not far from where I live thus my overhead cost is not much, I also have no issues with the peers and management people, in fact i'm getting countless of compliments since I worked there, the management team likes me.

At first 2k+ for diploma freshmeat sounds great, but after couple of months I feel I should be getting more than that as my cost of living is quite high although I live with my parents.

It is not possible to ask for increment, the company has fixed salary for each positions.

I need advice on this, should I be getting more from other company? is it possible?

Hi Guy, Customer service rep make you learn nothing. i mean in technical wise.

Can you tell me what you will be after 5 yrs? Customer service Manager?
*
Yep technical wise I learn nothing. I hope I can be team leader within next 2 years.
Do you think it's possible with just diploma cert? although i am confident enough to be a team leader any day, as i know how to produce report, handling escalations and facing the pressure.
