PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PROCEED
10 Things You Should Know About UniFi

1. This service is a 24- month contract and a termination fee of RM500 is chargeable for termination of service within the contract period.

2. If your premises reside in high rise building served via copper, you must terminate your existing Streamyx service (if any).

3. Minimal drilling is required for fibre installation to the premise. You will be responsible for providing TV and 4-socket extension cord to complete the installation. No installation appointment will be made for premises under renovation.

4. All triple play services (internet, voice and TV) must be activated during service installation. Partial service activation is not allowed.

5. UniFi is a wired broadband service. Wireless connectivity is an option and is subject to interference and obstructions factor.

6. UniFi account owner or authorised contact person must be available during the service installation. For high rise premises, owners are required to make arrangement with Building Management Office for installation permission, internal cabling and access to telecommunication room.

7. Installation fee includes external cable entrance up to the internal wiring with maximum of 15 metres for fiber cable, 15 meters for Ethernet/phone cables and 30 metres for casing (raceway). Additional charges will be applied for cable more than 15 metres and 30 metres casing (raceway) and charges will be included in your UniFi bill.

8. For other non-standard installation e.g. wiring above ceiling, underground and conceal wiring, you may appoint your own contractor or deal directly with TM appointed contractor. Payment will be made directly to the contractor.

9. Please provide correct and valid Billing Address / Postal Address. Select either paper bill or e-mail bill (please provide valid and preferred e-mail address). Bill is also accessible at myUniFi (https://occ.unifi.my). TM may impose a minimal monthly charge for paper bill with notification given.

10. All UniFi equipment provided by TM is subject to 12 months warranty period.

IMPORTANT NOTES (MUST READ)

Internal Wiring
Minimal drilling is required for fibre installation to the premise to allow fibre cable entrance into the house. Internal concealed wiring will not be carried out by TM. However, customers can arrange their own or choose from TM’s authorised list of contractors at their own expense. TM shall propose the recommended list of contractor for the concealed wiring (wall or ceiling). As this is beyond the job scope of RNO, customer will deal and make payment directly to the contractor. Operationally, reappointment is to be arranged when the conceal wiring is completed. Customer is required to inform TM for installation appointment.
Premise currently under renovation
During installation day, TM will not proceed if the customer premise is under renovation unless insist by customer, TM will charge customer accordingly if request for other appointment time. Customers who are having their home renovated are advised to inform TM prior setting service installation appointment. TM shall not be responsible for any damages resulted from construction and renovation done by customer through third party during or after the installation.
Customer Unreachable and Change of Appointment
Premise inaccessibility or deferment of installation appointment upon the installation team’s arrival at a customer’s premise will be subject to a charge of RM100. Re-appointment will be subject to time slot availability.
High-Rise VDSL & FTTH
For high-rise (condos, apartment, office building) ,TM would require to access the MDF/SDF room to physically activate the port which normally locked by the Building Management/Maintenance. Therefore, customers are required to communicate and make arrangement with your Building Management/Maintenance Office to ensure someone is available to grant the access to TM UniFi Installer to MDF/SDF room during the installation time. Without the access to MDF/SDF room, installation cannot be performed and TM has to revisit which will incur unnecessary cost to customer.
In the case of copper wired building that uses VDSL2 technology, successful delivery of UniFi services is subject to technical testing. TM has the right to cancel the order should the building copper wire is deemed as not passing the technical test or not ready to deliver the service.

Requirements & Installation Guide

From making an appointment to the signing-off of the Service Acceptance Form, here is a complete step-by-step process of how we bring UniFi into your home or office.

Step 1: Appointment

Appointment is made at the point of registration. You may choose your preferred date and time for UniFi installation but please note that installation for FTTx (Fibre to the Home or Office) is expected to take between 4-8 hours, and for VDSL2, 2-3 hours.

24 hours prior to the agreed installation date and time, the TM UniFi Centre will call you for a final confirmation. Our UniFi technician will also call you just before he goes to the agreed address of installation.

Step 2: Site Assessment

Upon arrival at your home or office, our technician will brief you on the step-by-step process of the entire installation. This includes:

(i) Site assessessment (outdoor and indoor)
(ii) Cable entrance (drilling point for FTTx)
(iii) Equipment termination point
(iv) Route of wiring

In the case of FTTx installation, our technician will determine the location of the Fibre Distribution Point (FDP), whether it is located on an overhead pole, or underground. If the underground fibre access is blocked due to any home or office renovation, it may require a longer installation period than for overhead fibre access installation.

For VDSL2, site assessment is much quicker since our technician need only access the building’s MDF room and perform the necessary cabling there.
Note: VDSL2 - your existing Streamyx or Business Broadband access will be disabled during this exercise.

Step 3: Installation

It's time to complete the installation process. As part of this process, some minimal drilling may be required. After laying the cables we will determine which modem is suitable for your home. Indoor installation requires more time as our technician needs to lay the internal fibre optic cable. Cables of sufficient length will be provided. However, in cases where additional cable lengths are required, some minimal charges will be incurred. To prevent unsightly wiring, wires and cables will be housed in proper casings.

However, if you wish it to be a drill-free installation, and if the fibre optic cables are required to be pulled through your home or office ceiling, we have a panel of contractors that you can work with, the costs of which will be borne by you.

VDSL2 does not require drilling since UniFi connection will come from the existing phone jack in your home or office. For this premise type, indoor installation requires minimal setup time.

Step 4: Equipment Setup

After laying all the cables, it’s time to connect the equipment. Our technician will first set up the BTU followed by Premise Gateway, Set-top-Box (for Residential package only) and DECT Phone. Once the equipment is tested and works properly, our technician will then show you that all the services are in working order.

Step 5: Completion

You are required to sign-off a Service Acceptance Form (SAF) as part of the process to complete the installation work. For a complete understanding of what TM UniFi service is, please read the terms and conditions in your service agreement.

Yes you can but they might not give you the newer equipment that's being installed around recently.. I'm in a similar boat and they refused.. So I've decided to wait out the contract to terminate and reapply. Who knows, TIME might get into the building by then.. Ditch TM straightaway.

I do now some apartments in Puchong only have Maxis Fiber. There was a time when there is none and residents there rely on wireless broadband like P1, Yes, etc. and unfortunately TM is unable to provide any service there (sort of Maxis monopolizes these areas) and the only fixed services are from Maxis.

So I have a friend who stays in Kenanga Apartment (behind SetiaWalk) & that area had just been wired for Maxis Fibre some time last year. Unfortunately for people living in these areas, they don't have any choice but Maxis which is the most expensive of all!

not really correct,u get the Voice Pack worth RM 20 for free for this new promo.

so the exact amount if UniFi 30 + Aneka + Voice Pack = 169+30+20 = 219

but this new promo 169+30+0 = 199

All excluded GST.

When I called up for upgrade, the SC told me that since I'm using Mega Pack, I won't be getting the RM30 discount and free voice plan and instead will be charged RM319.

So, took the upgrade with Aneka pack for RM299 but got penalty of RM10 for "downgrading" Mega Pack to Aneka Pack. Demmm..

not really correct,u get the Voice Pack worth RM 20 for free for this new promo.

so the exact amount if UniFi 30 + Aneka + Voice Pack = 169+30+20 = 219

but this new promo 169+30+0 = 199

All excluded GST.
*
Hmm, previously we get RM20 discount but without the Voice Pack.

So now the Free Voice pack is bundled in but without the RM20 discount.

In a way, you are right based on how they itemize the breakdown of charges. But for those of us who are enjoying the RM20 discount, we would see it as new users being forced to take the Voice Pack, hence the price "increased" RM20.

yushin If you can be patience, just wait until your contract is about to expire
Someone from TM will call you to offer the best promotion available at that time

If they don't call you, do what I did
I waited for the contract of my previous VIP 10 to expire, then I call 100, tell them I want to terminate
But I also tell them to advise their loyalty team to call me to offer the best plan available

Demmm..

Hi, need your recommendation for a good Asus Wireless Router. smile.gif

My family just upgraded to Unifi 30 lately and we found the existing wifi router is bad with poor coverage.

Based on the floor plan I draw, these are the current wifi coverage that I manage to receive with the existing Unifi wifi router with the modem mark X.

Would anyone please recommend which Wifi Router should I get to boost up the wifi coverage for all three rooms with budget less than RM500? Primary use for Online Gaming, Torrent, IPTV, FB, Youtube, Surt Net.

**These are the model I found: RT-N12HP / RT-N14UHP / RT-AC1200HP / RT-N18U

Thank you. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

I believe you've already taken the upgrade with Aneka pack for RM299... I'm still on the older VIP10 Plan with waived fees on the Hypptv Mega Pack. Some similar subscribers who've upgraded to the ADV30 plan managed to negotiate the free Mega Pack into their current bundle. I was offered a similar deal but declined mainly because they refused to upgrade the much older equipment with the newer ones & include the free voice plan. They had no problems renewing the contract for another 24 months.. I wasn't pleased with that and so awaiting contract termination.

I see. I was one of those user who got to retain my existing mega pack with free calls, sucks when they told me all that will be discontinued if I upgrade to Unifi 100 but since there are no alternatives, got to go with it. Hope they will come to change the BTU and that TM router which collecting dust in my drawer.

Although, earlier this evening someone from TM called and told me my application for upgrade has been duly noted, just that they need to wait for upgrade confirmation if it is doable and will be calling me back once confirmed. Looks like my waiting time for the upgrade went from 7 working days to unknown now.

Ya of course. Only thing is in the beginning, the traffic diversion/management was not optimum, hence the extreme slowness. But over the weeks, the traffic diversion was better managed, hence the not too bad situation we "enjoy" now.

My take on this is more that TM reluctantly opened its wallet and coughed up some cash to buy bandwidth on alternative routes. Something that more 'enlightened' service providers do preemptively as a contingency, so as to cause minimal disruption to their subscribers should a cable break happen somewhere.

Let's call a spade a spade. Cable breaks don't just happen to TM. They happen to everybody. TM just happens to be pretty bad at having a backup plan when one occurs. And to be fair about it, they are not the only one like that in the world... although a lot of people like to think so and it seems like that sometimes wink.gif. I've seen worse throughout the years, to be honest.

Called TM yesterday and told them to upgrade to 100Mb but they said its gonna take 7 working days. I told them to go fly kites. I gave them my terms which is upgrade within 3 days or keep my current package and I will be jumping ship. Activation can actually be done in 24 hrs actually, but these lazy asses are taking 7 days to shake their balls? So, they either value their loyal customer or lose them.

She then reached her boss and everything. Then she read the TnC which includes the line that the upgrade will take 7 working days and she asked whether I agreed? I said I agree if my terms is met.

So let's see how it goes.

No such thing as need to terminate then need to re-apply. It's just a plan upgrade.

Wrong person to ask. You should be asking the sales person, not the technician.

Wrong person to ask. You should be asking the sales person, not the technician.

No wonder keep getting issue, they haven't fixed it. It took so long to import the cable in. TM probably used the slow shipping service for importing the cable to cut cost I believe. I sell online to oversea and know about shipping.

TM is fu..king hopeless.

Can't find Celcom Fibre thread so I will post my inquiry here. Anyone think Celcom Fibre 10Mbps is a good replacement for my Unifi VIP 10? They are riding on TM backbone, just like Maxis so I guess the latency for gaming will only be slightly worse than Unifi (though only my bro plays online game) biggrin.gif Will be using more for surfing the net and using it for Android TV/streaming live videos. Price wise, it is quite a big difference at RM72.50/month for the first 6 months and RM145/month later on compares to what I am paying for Unifi at RM169/month. Just need to know if Celcom Fibre is reliable and stable compares to Unifi. smile.gif

But within that 2 years sure got better offer one laugh.gif

Even after 24months, we can choose to terminate or downgrade if you feel the RM329 is too expensive. biggrin.gif

Your question like 'u duno how the fixing undersea cable work? is not necessary.

They can do a better job on fixing it. It took so long for the cable to arrive. If not using cheap shipping service, it wouldn't take so long.

Yes TM is dishonest. They have this slow websites (not local website) browsing issues quit often.

I think I have made more than 10 reports to TM already in two years time. They always try to blame is in my fault.

The last time I reported to tM, I recorded down some slow website browsing issues in my phone to show the technicians. Funny enough they still try to say it is my fault. They said I opened few browsers at the same time to visit websites caused the slow. So I enlarged my phone screen to show them I was just using one browse to visit one website at a time. Then they also use my unifi to visit some websites as a test to see any slow issues. In 5 minutes already found some regular sites slow. It's not a fault on my side, so they just keep quiet and do some settings on my equipment and left. But they never solve this problem permanently.

Anyway YES 4G has a more steady performance than TM unifi.

Reading TIME thread really make me jealous lol.

If it's me, i will get the 500mbps, terminate astro and unifi and enjoy android box. No complain and im a happy man. But I know that not gonna happen. It seem TM and TIME are targetting different group of properties and dont seem to want to compete with each other.

Currently on 30mbps and it doing good. Tempting to get 100mbps. But the issue now is the price.

Called TM. Apparently the first month free promotion is only applicable for new application and not for upgrade.

If you want to upgrade your subscription to UNIFI PRO, you need to go through TM Point or call 100. I know there is an online upgrade form you can fill in at TM site, but the CSO told me they can only process subscription upgrade via TM point and phone call.

One more thing, if you are currently in UNIFI Biz and intend to change to the personal UNIFI Pro package, you can only do so via TM Point. You must cancel your biz plan and resubscribe to their personal home plans.

1. You can only migrate to TIME if TIME Fibre is available in your area. TIME fibre coverage is very limited. Check here http://www.time.com.my/support/internet-coverage-check
2. TIME no longer offer the RM500 penalty payment for people who move to them. That was a promotion offered before their new plans is launched

Submarine cable fault, I do understand the difficulties in getting it fixed, the rough weather & sea conditions, etc.

What I cannot accept is they take too long to fix internal/underground/overhead cable faults - these could have been fixed within 1 or 2 days, but their over-reliance on external contractors could mean downtime of between 1 to 2 weeks.

Yes you are right. Weird isn't it? What they said was biz plan was assigned a different product code. They can't change an existing product to another product code. I thought it was a rather obtuse but didn't want to create unnecessary trouble. So I just went ahead and get a new home plan.

I will terminate my biz plan a day later after my home plan is up. The lady at the counter was nice enough to provide me with a cancellation form first beforehand.

1. You can only migrate to TIME if TIME Fibre is available in your area. TIME fibre coverage is very limited. Check here http://www.time.com.my/support/internet-coverage-check

Unless your contract is about to end, there is no way to get RM179 for Advance 30 plan unless you know someone high up in TM

No. The RM179 (before GST) that you're paying right now will continue until you terminate the account

The RM199 plan is only for new registration and new upgrades

Used to have this problem. It was due to a faulty power adapter for the BTU. Changed then ok. Check to see if your BTU reboots itself every few minutes.

RDP session over VPN is dropping out every 10-15 minutes for 30 seconds or so, annoying when you're in the middle of something.

At least latency isn't too bad like it was when the cable issue first started.

I shall try to persuade him to get this Wifi router, else I have to stick with RT-N18U or RT-N14UHP.
Are you refer to get a repeater, something like this in Asus official website?
My family prefer to get a better wifi router rather than repeater

It's just a few extra RM.. Eat ramen noodles for a day or 2 & can make up the extra cost.. tongue.gif. You folks need to accept that it's better to spend slightly more to get a much better router than stay under budget.. A good router is a solid investment that'll last for years, handling multiple devices & connections.. Do not skimp on such.

The TM router (Aka black box) can support till 100mbps. As for our router or tm router by default can support till 100mbps. So no need to change anything (By right lor).

If not cause someone sponser me to up 100mbps, I will never op for it. Price wise does not make any sense. Look at Singapore, thai or indo cheaper / same price but faster. Look at time sweat.gif .

Who is TM owner. Memang cilaka. Maxshit wanna be lah nie

My installation for HOME Unifi Pro 100 is tomorrow. Just want to check with you guys something. I'm currently on Biz 20 using Asus AC68U router.

1. When the new plan is active, do I need to reset my router again to setup the new acc and password? I would rather prefer not to do this, because I have a lot of router settings set up already. But under WAN, I can't seem to find the option to choose the different Unifi accounts anymore, I can only see my userid and password etc.

2) port 4 of my Asus router will be used for hypptv?
*
no need to reset.you only need to change the login details/special isp requirement to UniFi Home if you want to use HyppTV.if not, just stick with UniFi BIZ where ur port 4 can be used for internet.

then restart your router.

Yes I understand what you mean. That is what I wanted to do. I remembered when I set up my account, there are options for us to choose like Unifi Business, Unifi VIP etc. But now it is only my userid and password etc.

How to change? Just change the userid and password you mean?

I'm using Merlin firmware so the screen is a little bit different.

But you are right Jason, only that I need to click a couple more to get there.

Thanks a lot to you! nod.gif nod.gif

I've been thinking of using Merlin firmware for sometime. Is it possible to revert back to factory firmware by downloading from asus website and install the firmware?

Yes of course. The firmware itself is based on the original Asuswrt. So there is no special installation process. You upgrade the firmware like you do for the original. You can flash back to Asus official firmware any time.

Here is the latest Merlin's. Just choose your router.

Funny how one of the first BTU models from TM can support 100mbps but the Huawei ones cannot.

I'll be keeping this Alcatel as long as it can run.

Anyone got call from TM offering RM179 for the 30mbps plan but includes free calls and some extra channels for HyppTV?

I'm currently on 5mbps.
Wait for your contract to end then you will get a call from TM with some special offer, but don't expect to get the free calls and extra channels for HyppTV as well

If your contract is already over, call 100 and tell them you want to terminate your UniFi services, the helpline will tell you what to do
Before you end the call, tell the helpline to ask their loyalty team to do a call back

guy wanna ask, yesterday they call in and upgrade me for 30 mbps but today i received msg that say i successful upgrade when speed test same with old speed ? why?
Turn off your BTU & router for 5 minutes
After 5 minutes, turn on your BTU first, wait 5 minutes then turn on your router
Wait another 1 minute for the router to load everything & reconnect to the internet then run the speedtest again

But today they really called me with this offer. Gave me RM179 for 30mbps with free calls. They said hypptv got some extra channels also. But not sure I heard wrongly or not. Could be just the usual free channels.

They also mention that the free calls is not fixed line to fixed line. It includes calling to mobile devices also.

Anyone else got this call?

You should be getting full 100+ on the RT-AC88U. Unless it's a UniFi problem. Is your BTU the model with the Gigabit port? RT-AC88U is fast, it should have no problems even handling TIME 500mbps.

If this type of things happen in Singapore, the telco will be slapped left right and fined through its ass already. Only in bolehland can a monopolistic telco get away with prolonged network failure and long delayed reparation work like this without any repercussion.

is TMnut fuck up even more again?

Take forever to stream the kickstarter videos despite of the videoes being less than 20MB per file.

various sites suffering from intermediate slow down or disconnection or spike.

games lag and delay like fuck.

reconnecting to change IP address range does nothing.

Why is the connection still shitty? Checked on speed test, all is good for my Unifi 30mb.

Connecting to US-based game servers, 300ms.
Loading Youtube videos also slow.
Accessing Facebook also cant and will be slow if I could

I can't work from home like this. It has been more than a month already.

Do I have to call those fuckers and maki them and asks what they have been doing with my 200MYR every month?

What can I do on my end?

Normally, I'll ask them to reset port and it should be good to go.

But from what your saying is that access to US site is slow. It's the submarine cable I guess.

a) More money than sense
b) They have no other options
c) Blinded by the BIG numbers - 100MBPS!! OMG!!!
d) They want to prove TM right by showing that regardless on how they price their offerings, there will be people who will climb on board.

Pick One.

People will get what they need even when they complain, because there simply isn't any other viable alternatives. Which sane person wants to pay more for less? They simply have no other option.

Oh BY THE WAY, just wanna check with you guys about the free voice call for UNIFI PRO.

FREE Voice Call worth RM20 (national calls)

• FREE 600 Minutes
• Beyond 600 Minutes:
- FREE calls to TM Fixed Lines nationwide
- FLAT RATE 10sen/min to all mobile and other Fixed Lines nationwide.

Does that means for the first 600 minutes, calls to mobile phones are also free?

Points taken, however I myself am subscribed to this... 30mb package, and granted I do live with only a handful of other siblings, but even then the speed is pretty sufficient. I would live with a slower download speed than to throw more $$$ to one of Asia's most expensive ISPs. T_T

And you have the right attitude, for those with no option. If more people were like you who subscribe, but reluctantly pay for their lower-end packages, they'll be forced to reevaluate their stand and business model.

As it is, complain as they like, there are WAY too many people here who are more than willing and waste no time in moving on up and tossing more $$$ at TM (and Maxis) every time a seemingly 'newer and better' package comes along.

So much so that the sales people that have been calling me to convince me to upgrade from the RM149 VIP to the RM179 Advance 30 are so arrogant, they were really shocked when I told them that not only am I NOT going to upgrade, I am in fact CANCELLING my subscription. Going overseas for 6 months after all. They can have their retention team call me. They'll just get another dose on what I have to say.

Honestly, I started off nice, calm and neutral enough. I knew she was probably just another under-paid, under-trained drone.

Paraphrased...

"Encik nak upgrade kepada pakej 30Mbps, tak? Hanya RM179, lebih RM30 saja"

"Terima kasih sajalah. Saya tak minat masa ini"

<some long-drawn out sales blurb about how great and wonderful their offering was>

"Maaf. Boleh cakap Bahasa Inggeris, tak? Lebih senang kalau boleh"

"Tak boleh. Saya nak cakap Bahasa Malaysia saja"

...oooookaaay...

"Kalau saya upgrade, boleh tak saya dapat balik pakej panggilan percuma?"

"Tak boleh. Kalau Encik hendak sangat panggilan percuma tu, kena bayar RM20 lebih"

"OK... bagaimana pula kalau saya minta gantungkan langganan Unifi saya selama 6 bulan. Boleh, tak? Saya akan ke luar negeri bekerja sampai bulan Oktober"

"Tak boleh. Kita jarang bagi tanggungan selama tu. Ada pun, kena tulis surat kepada pihak berkenaan"

"Kalau macam tu, saya cancel sajalah langganan Unifi saya sekarang"

"Mengapa nak cancel?"

"Ini tak boleh. Itu tak boleh. Cik ada tengok tak alamat kediaman saya ini?"

"Ummm..."

"Tengoklah. Tempat saya boleh langgani TIME Fibre Broadband"

Ideologically I don't fault you, because I agree with you. But there are bigger force at play here that causes the current packages discrepancies over TM and Time. Whether you like it or not, a monopolistic control over the broadband infrastructure gives TM a firm grip over pricing. What you are asking is for people who complain to not subscribe to UNIFI high end packages, but rather their mediocre lower bandwidth packages, which ironically still put all these users back in TM's wagon anyhow. Unless there is a very viable alternative, people would rather bite the bullet and take on what they need instead of boycotting the service simply because they don't want to inconvenience their life.

How much bandwidth an individual needs is subjective, and that is why there are several packages to cater for different market spectrum. To say it's not worth it to subscribe to a higher bandwidth package, but okay albeit with much reluctance to subscribe to the lower bandwidth, one isn't really contributing to the solution. Your money still ends up in TM's pocket. I reckon much of the bulk of TM's revenue doesn't come from UNIFI PRO subscribers, but from their more affordable packages, and also from their corporate users as well as leasing of their backbone infrastructure. So you think just because there is lower subscription for UNIFI PRO, TM will start reevaluating their pricing on this tier, and maybe lower it down to.. RM149?

The only way to effectively force TM to evaluate their internet pricing is for the government to open up the broadband scene in Malaysia, and allow other players to enter the market without much bureaucratic restriction. When that happens prices will readjust accordingly when there are real competiton.

Without this happening, any form of boycott is futile and laughable. This is the reality.

I think you can apply UniFi with Maxis Fibre still intact. Both should use a different LAN port on the BTU. Cancel your Maxis when UniFi was up and running.

Is it worth it to upgrade to unifi advance 50? I am currently on advance 30 but due to number of users it is barely sufficient.. 100mbps on the other hand is too pricey,(sure tm will offer new speeds in the future but not the near future). Is it worth it to go from advance 30 to 50? (in u guys opinion and experience)

Anyone here who has any power in TM/UniFI? I'm sick of them keep closing my report with fake reasons.

The latest reason I ask them to fix their routing issue or at least give me a reason why the routing issue is happening. The woman close my report. And then I call them they said that she said I requested for my connection to be reseted. Wtf logic is that.

Then today I call again they said they will make a new report for me.(5th time they do this)

Then no follow up. When I call them to check on the report, they say that the report has been closed because resolved.

No Logic.

They keep closing report for no reason and say resolved when they clearly did nothing.

Anyone who has contact with people inside tm please let me know here.

Thanks

Their way of saying "not our problem". I had to use VPN to play on steam, otherwise with all the packet loss n ping capped at 200ms I can't do sh*t

Not even gonna call their customer service... gives you cancer.

The last time I called them, I'm the one who had to suggest to them how to troubleshoot my problem wtf. They can't even differentiate basic things such as a 'router' and a 'modem'

Assuming this is just a temporary problem, I used WTFast for gaming (Dota). They have 14 days trial - It works, reduces my ping because the issue here is the routing problem - Not sure if it's really UNIFI fault, or valve server is the cause of the problem.

Give it a go and see how. If you're planning to Play CSGO using it, you can't - It'll show unreliable connection.

Setup your DNS first. Get it from Getflix website.

Always remember to update your IP everytime you reboot the router.

Mostly using my PC to stream. NBC sports Live Extra got windows 10 app. For UCL or Europa i just use FoxSports Go. All bypassed using getflix DNS. Last time using my 6s Plus. But now dunno how to setup DNS on my S7 Edge lol.

I never have astro also.haha

Sometimes playing the ignorant card is better.

I told TM;

"I nak buat business transaction ni, kenapa for 2 months straight your service macam tahi longkang? I cannot pay my business taxes online, you waste my time to go do it manually, I have to spend more money on a temporary dispatch boy while I continue to pay your ridiculous internet berukband. Ada logic kah?"

Then they reply:
"So encik, apa yang nak kita buat? Bukan masalah kita. We are doing our best to bagi semua orang stable internet, but sometimes it is out of our control. Bukan server kita yang down, it's luar punya server."

I replied:
"I don't know what server this server that la. At the end of the day YOU are causing me to lose money, giving me inconvenience and wasting my time. All I know is your biz service plan promise to give me "restoration time up to 12 hours". Now sudah berapa hari? You ingat macam you kah sit at the office, wait for gaji every month? Then pergi complain when employer late 1 day gaji? You FIX it now or you re-imburse 2 months + compensation.

Pending 2 months rebate now.

Yup, I was in the middle of capping a tower in GuildWars 2 then suddenly boom. Disconnected and cannot reconnect, then I tried warframe and udpating at only 1kb/s, so then I thought I'd reboot the modem but nope, nothing changed so I thought it was my freebsd gateway, but that wasn't it either. Lucky I checked here and see that I'm not the only one with the problem. This all hit just before 5pm.

As far as I know at the moment TM <> SGGS IPs are broken as hell. This includes facebook and many game servers(Valve etc)

My advice call them up and tell them that fb is broken because frankly they don't care about us gamers :/

Just call 100 and tell them FB LAGGGGGGG

They will fix haha

Remind me when UNIFI stable, gonna go through the 4TB anime, movie, music, and games collection that I have collected hoarded the past few years in case of zombie internet apocalypse like this.

Lazy complain, not that it'll make a difference anyway. As long as TM monopoly, nothing we can do.

You sure ka? No where in TMnut's tweet announced any such thing. Instead, they're using the same copypasta response "Our team is still working on this matter. We'll provide update once it's available... blabla"

Yeah I couldn't find any official announcement from them except their fb page (the visitor's post still exists), unless it's a typo.

actually it is not mahal tapi keterbukaan kerajaan untuk kebenaran companies luar masuk...

kalau tidak jaring takkan mati kalau gov tak suruh tm buka dslam mereka utk share dengan jaring.... begitu juga dengan myrepublic dimana sepatutnya fiber da dibuka untuk akses company luar da...tapi government as usual extend or buat tak tahu je

teringat dulu digi suffer few year due to no 3g spectrum for them...lost to another player to maxis and celcom that time... until now also, digi is the least company got the spectrum license compare to another 2 telcos...

so at the end kita yg rugi...

and around 2002-2003, i remember tnb had one device/way where data can use electric line to carry network and call it data over powerline(cannot remember right terms) and our innovation are much superior compare to others where speed not degrade when it is pass on mini substation/substation... but later gov didnt give approval to tnb to offer internet services... lost already the brochure i take from tnb...

but at the end..... forced to langgan with tm...and now all lagging every where....hehe

Actually, you're right, I dug through their FB page and found one of their response that it's fixed. But yea, not a separate announcement.

So according to their FB it's fixed, but according to their twitter, it's not. Well done again Tmnut grumble.gif
