My current VIP10 contract still has 6 months to go, can upgrade to 30M/10M ?
*
Yes you can but they might not give you the newer equipment that's being installed around recently.. I'm in a similar boat and they refused.. So I've decided to wait out the contract to terminate and reapply. Who knows, TIME might get into the building by then.. Ditch TM straightaway.

Love the way you think.. Glass half-full.. smile.gif

QUOTE(nyunyu @ Apr 4 2016, 02:00 PM)
When I called up for upgrade, the SC told me that since I'm using Mega Pack, I won't be getting the RM30 discount and free voice plan and instead will be charged RM319.

So, took the upgrade with Aneka pack for RM299 but got penalty of RM10 for "downgrading" Mega Pack to Aneka Pack. Demmm..
*
They better not try that with me when the time comes.. It's in a few months, so we'll see.. mad.gif

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Apr 4 2016, 02:32 PM)
yushin If you can be patience, just wait until your contract is about to expire
Someone from TM will call you to offer the best promotion available at that time

If they don't call you, do what I did
I waited for the contract of my previous VIP 10 to expire, then I call 100, tell them I want to terminate
But I also tell them to advise their loyalty team to call me to offer the best plan available
*
That's been the plan.. I've already whetted their appetite to retain me by them calling before and we negotiated over a few days, before I declined their "no difference" offer.. Been with them a couple of years, always paid promptly.. So will see how loyalty is rewarded... nod.gif

Hi, need your recommendation for a good Asus Wireless Router.  smile.gif

My family just upgraded to Unifi 30 lately and we found the existing wifi router is bad with poor coverage.

Based on the floor plan I draw, these are the current wifi coverage that I manage to receive with the existing Unifi wifi router with the modem mark X.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Would anyone please recommend which Wifi Router should I get to boost up the wifi coverage for all three rooms with budget less than RM500? Primary use for Online Gaming, Torrent, IPTV, FB, Youtube, Surt Net.

**These are the model I found: RT-N12HP / RT-N14UHP / RT-AC1200HP / RT-N18U

Thank you.  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

Checkout the RT-AC55UHP... You'll get Dual-band wireless-AC1200... Price's around your budget.

You've got the same package as I am too?
*
I believe you've already taken the upgrade with Aneka pack for RM299... I'm still on the older VIP10 Plan with waived fees on the Hypptv Mega Pack. Some similar subscribers who've upgraded to the ADV30 plan managed to negotiate the free Mega Pack into their current bundle. I was offered a similar deal but declined mainly because they refused to upgrade the much older equipment with the newer ones & include the free voice plan. They had no problems renewing the contract for another 24 months.. I wasn't pleased with that and so awaiting contract termination.

Thanks for the suggestion ==> RT-AC55UHP , but it is slightly above our budget RM500, my bother will not agree with it.  sweat.gif
I shall try to persuade him to get this Wifi router, else I have to stick with RT-N18U or RT-N14UHP.
Are you refer to get a repeater, something like this in Asus official website?
My family prefer to get a better wifi router rather than repeater
*
It's just a few extra RM.. Eat ramen noodles for a day or 2 & can make up the extra cost.. tongue.gif. You folks need to accept that it's better to spend slightly more to get a much better router than stay under budget.. A good router is a solid investment that'll last for years, handling multiple devices & connections.. Do not skimp on such.

QUOTE(Fornaxlife @ Apr 5 2016, 11:21 PM)
One question guys. I was told that I have to pay rm30/50 to the installer after installation. Isn't the installation free?
*
Depends, if there'll be extra wiring involved..

Currently I'm on UniFi30 RM179 (ie: with RM20 discount, Aneka pack & no voice pack), if I upgrade to UniFi50, what will I have to pay every month?
*
Very likely, full price.. Whatever TM decides on your behalf is a suitable price. So do the math & weigh the decision properly before agreeing to upgrade.

yup...the plan actually to bring unifi in year 2013 to kuala terengganu....I don't know what the problem was but they extend it until 2015. but right now, people want more speed like for 10 years ago. they wait for the hsbb2 money from government. they start fibering Terengganu area in February 2015. like TIME said TM hoping for government help and don't know how to independent like TIME.
*
Why be independent when they can spend the money lavishly on themselves.. Worst case scenario, they'll still get bailed out by the government.. Aka tax payers..

Hi , would like to know is there any way I can apply for UniFi if the CS mention the port at my area already full? How long I need to wait? The location is Bandar Baru Uda JB (Jalan Padi Malinja 3).
*
TIME to wait is unknown, but expect it to be long. As its either TM comes to add more ports or someone terminates their subscription, thereby freeing up a port for you.

yes, I just called unifi tech support
got 2 alphabet then ran out of credits....
now have to queue again
damn annoying la
*
Yeah, no choice... But its understandable, as lately, people have been calling to complain for one thing or the other... Poor CS staffs. Just keep at it, once given, stay on the line and verify it. All okay? Save in secure place for future retrieval. smile.gif

why tm send me new adapter for unifi? doesn't give any letter or manual also. sent by citilink courier.
*
Yeah, they've been doing that for a few customers recently. For some, TM staff simply showed up @ their location just to swap the adaptors out. I can't remember which exactly, but I think it's for either the BTU or STB. Try checking the power ratings & plug point to confirm which.

Any IT expert here?

I can't open this link at all http://repo.run/cypherrepo using unifi wifi on my smartphone and android box.

But I can open it using laptop.

I also can open the link if using my smartphone but using telco data, not unifi.

Anybody pro here know what the problem?

I believe you posted this in KODI thread.. The link works. Just tried it now.. There appears be an issue with your KODI installation.. Uninstall and reinstall KODI. Then add normally using file Manger within KODI.

Check your Unifi router for dns settings.. Use default TM DNS or perhaps OpenDNS. Reboot router with each change..

Check KODI thread for further details.

No. I among the 1st batch upgrade to 30mbps. I download the bills and show credit note of rm49 but not mention for what

Edited: the credit note is described as "Balance Transfer/Kontra(HSBB)(#)"
*
Hmm, perhaps it's an overpaid balance from the previous subscription before upgrading. Enjoy & just ignore it. Monitor your subsequent bills though.

What is the procedure to cancel Unifi ? Need 1 month notice and still need to pay for that one more ? Normally Unifi 1st bill change us 1 month advance is it will use it during we ask for cancelation ?

Mine no contract with them .going to change to Celcom home fibre 10mbps package next week .
*
If you've paid your previous bill and the next bill isn't out yet? Just head to a TM point and request to terminate. Take the BTU along.

Hi guys, I'm currently awaiting TM to get back to me with the installation date at my new apartment. Just want to know how the first payment works, cos I was told that there's an advance payment and first month's charge in the first bill. Can someone explain please? Thanks.
*
It's like a 1 + 1 payment... Current month + next month's payment. After that, TM sends a bill for you to pay for a month ahead.
