If not need change anything, they still need to come for upgrading? So troublesome hv to take leave waiting for them at home. Last time I applied leave two time as first time they fly me plane.  sad.gif

Mine also the same, just this morning they came to install 100M and I expect to see the result immediately but was told my order stuck at PONR status and it was due to TM system error. I was told to wait until tonight or call the installer again tomorrow. bangwall.gif

Same thing happened to me today. Upgraded two accounts, one was able to see new speed immediately, the other stuck at ponr as well  bangwall.gif asked to wait till 8.30pm today, if still not upgraded asked to contact tm again. don't understand how one could have gone thru but one stuck when both upgrade at the same time and both under single name. glad to know I'm not the only one facing this problem tho  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

Damn. Haha. They came back to your place or just upgrade in system and notify you?

No any form of message or call from them. They just upgraded at their end. I just tried to reconnect (refresh) my connection when I saw my speed shot to 100mbps and drop back to 52mbps.

Anybody knows whats the procedure to switch from Maxis to Unifi with the least service disruption?
I wouldn't wanna go without Internet for a few days
*
I think you can apply UniFi with Maxis Fibre still intact. Both should use a different LAN port on the BTU. Cancel your Maxis when UniFi was up and running.

Yes, GE port. But they changed mine, since they don't know the new one is also the same model but different in layout only. biggrin.gif FYI, BTU is always under TM care. You need to return it when you terminated the service. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(ice.roman @ Apr 14 2016, 07:25 PM)
The TM guys just came and installed the Unifi Pro (100 Mbps). Surprisingly, they are not giving me the D-Link DIR-850L router, but the RG-INNATECH-RGX4400. Have you heard about this router before?

I tried the LAN connection, the download speed is around 102 Mbps, and the upload speed is around 52 Mbps. However, after they were gone and I tried the WiFi connection on my PC, the download speed is around 40 Mbps, and the upload speed is around 50 Mbps. Why the download speed is so low?

I then borrowed my neighbour’s D-Link DIR-850L, LAN connection is fine, but the WiFi connection is even worse, download speed is around 30 Mbps only. I thought D-Link DIR-850L can support 100 Mbps?

Any idea what’s wrong here?

These are some results when I tried to test the speed via my phone.

You are not alone, at least for the RGX4400 router smile.gif I tried all the band 2.4 N, 5.0 N & AC on my iPhone 6s. Use AC mode when ever you can. biggrin.gif

Ermm... what's AC mode?  sweat.gif

i was very disappointed when the technicians gimme the RG-INNATECH-RGX4400. i even asked for the D-Link DIR-850L but they said they don't have it.

they even told me that they are installing the unifi pro 100 mbps for the first time. they even called someone for the setting. i was like  mega_shok.gif

but when i tried my neighbour's D-Link DIR-850L, i was like... eh, how come even worse? haha
well that make sense
i'm using a very old signal king wifi adapter. will check for other adapter tomorrow

i wasted the whole day testing the routers and their settings
too old for these kinds of things i guess.

i just read online that 5 ghz is stronger, i will try to play around with the setting again tomorrow
maybe change the 5 ghz to another name or whatever
anyway, need to rush my work now
*
Same wireless name have no problem for dual bands adapter. It will connect to the highest mode whenever it can. thumbsup.gif BTW, if you shop for new WiFi adapter, get an adapter support AC mode.

great. i'm getting more n more confused now. hahaha
i found a pic of the adapter that i am using right now

user posted image

dual band or not? ac or not? i have no idea.

these are the specs i found online

Brand Name: signal king
Type: Wireless
Interface Type: USB
Certification: CE, FCC, RoHS
Kind: External
Application: Desktop/Laptop/Notebook
Transmission Rate: 300Mbps
Wireless Protocol: 802.11b,802.11g,802.11n
Model Number: 18TN

when testing the speed via my mobile phone, the download speed is low oso. so i guess it must be the router problem (or its settings) rite?

oso, how come ur speed is so good (from ur signature)? what router n wifi adapter that u r using rite now?
*
Same as yours, RGX4400 (Actually this router quite good laugh.gif ). The only problem is it did not have external antenna, so signal will be a problem for most of us. sad.gif
