When I called up for upgrade, the SC told me that since I'm using Mega Pack, I won't be getting the RM30 discount and free voice plan and instead will be charged RM319.
So, took the upgrade with Aneka pack for RM299 but got penalty of RM10 for "downgrading" Mega Pack to Aneka Pack. Demmm.. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Apr 4 2016, 05:14 PM) Love the way you think.. Glass half-full.. You've got the same package as I am too? They better not try that with me when the time comes.. It's in a few months, so we'll see.. That's been the plan.. I've already whetted their appetite to retain me by them calling before and we negotiated over a few days, before I declined their "no difference" offer.. Been with them a couple of years, always paid promptly.. So will see how loyalty is rewarded... |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Apr 4 2016, 06:58 PM) I believe you've already taken the upgrade with Aneka pack for RM299... I'm still on the older VIP10 Plan with waived fees on the Hypptv Mega Pack. Some similar subscribers who've upgraded to the ADV30 plan managed to negotiate the free Mega Pack into their current bundle. I was offered a similar deal but declined mainly because they refused to upgrade the much older equipment with the newer ones & include the free voice plan. They had no problems renewing the contract for another 24 months.. I wasn't pleased with that and so awaiting contract termination. I see. I was one of those user who got to retain my existing mega pack with free calls, sucks when they told me all that will be discontinued if I upgrade to Unifi 100 but since there are no alternatives, got to go with it. Hope they will come to change the BTU and that TM router which collecting dust in my drawer.Although, earlier this evening someone from TM called and told me my application for upgrade has been duly noted, just that they need to wait for upgrade confirmation if it is doable and will be calling me back once confirmed. Looks like my waiting time for the upgrade went from 7 working days to unknown now. |

That's what I thought. But the technician seems to only replacing the router and not the btu. Any idea what should I tell then to get the 8240w? They brought it with them.

QUOTE(calvinlaw510 @ Apr 13 2016, 12:58 PM) i think u should call TM about this...when i apply the upgrade on 1st apr through 100, the officer told me, if i am using HG850a, they will change new btu for me. on 9th apr morning the tech come, straight away the tech replace the btu and router then only start to configure and call TM to activate 100Mbps for my account. What is the difference between these 2 BTU? So far all the speedtest I made did not go beyond 95Mbps and I lost ipv6. |

can't even reach 100Mbps bro. Called up sc and the guy told me old one can support 200Mbps?
Called 100 again. Now after checking she said it is normal with the speed and since the btu support the new plan, it won't get replaced. I asked her to open a internal report for a replacement. She just said she will open one for me but if the btu is fine, there won't be any replacement made. wtf. So, where should I report this further? QUOTE(OKLY @ Apr 13 2016, 01:47 PM) 100mbps port is just on paper but when we calculate overhead and other factors, you'll achieve less than 100mbps due to a limitation from the LAN port. QUOTE(bizness @ Apr 13 2016, 01:48 PM) QUOTE(Xefron @ Apr 13 2016, 01:51 PM) the speed profile configures at BRAS level is 10% more than advertised speed. I'm not really networking gurus, I tend to learn from forums and internet sources. I felt this HG850a and HG8240w are like TV, there are full hd ready TV 1080i and full hd TV 1080p. I don't want a compatible modem, I want the modem which can give me the optimum advertised speed.so after included overhead,if you use gigabit BTU u should get around 100Mbps instead of less than 100Mbps if using FE BTU. that 200Mbps speed, that one is aggregate speed if you use LAN 1 and LAN 2 together. Anyway, submitted complaint to both TM and CFM. Hopefully I will get good news. |

QUOTE(gedebe @ Apr 14 2016, 01:36 PM) I heard that unifi 30 still avail at rm179 until 15th true or not, want to upgrade but worry tm billing cannot be trusted, still will charge the new fees Actually all backlog registrations prior of 31st March 2016 could be processed until 14th April 2016. So, today is the last day for the old price. |

QUOTE(theskems @ Apr 16 2016, 09:51 PM) I'm using 100MBps and so far running speedtests I noticed only if use laptop or pc (windows) will I get 100MBps++ Are you using the new DIR-850L router and H8240w modem? But if using phone or tablet (android) to run the speedtest will only get 75MBps to 95MBps ish.. Was told by the technician he encountered the same in other 100MBps users.. So anyone else on 100MBps experience the same? Mine using the new router and old HG850a only managed to get max 95Mbps DL on pc and around 90Mbps DL on iphone 6+ (5Ghz AC wifi). Still waiting for TM to call me back to replace new modem. |

Just curious, did anyone who upgrade to the new Pro plan got both modem and router replaced? If still using HG850a modem, how is your speedtest looking?
