Ok following last night report where I called SC to lodge the report and they reset the port yet still same packet loss to SEA steam address. 2 technician came to my home this morning trying to resolve this problem saying that this is SEA steam server prob have nothing to do with TM, but when I show them that I have good connection to SEA steam using VPN they are speechless. Now they trying to compose new email about the situation. I facepalmed hard, smh.

Issue is, fibre is expensive to install. Kalau we willing to bayar mahal, they confirm will put. But we Malaysians are cheap as hell hahaha
*
actually it is not mahal tapi keterbukaan kerajaan untuk kebenaran companies luar masuk...

kalau tidak jaring takkan mati kalau gov tak suruh tm buka dslam mereka utk share dengan jaring.... begitu juga dengan myrepublic dimana sepatutnya fiber da dibuka untuk akses company luar da...tapi government as usual extend or buat tak tahu je

teringat dulu digi suffer few year due to no 3g spectrum for them...lost to another player to maxis and celcom that time... until now also, digi is the least company got the spectrum license compare to another 2 telcos...

so at the end kita yg rugi...

and around 2002-2003, i remember tnb had one device/way where data can use electric line to carry network and call it data over powerline(cannot remember right terms) and our innovation are much superior compare to others where speed not degrade when it is pass on mini substation/substation... but later gov didnt give approval to tnb to offer internet services... lost already the brochure i take from tnb...

but at the end..... forced to langgan with tm...and now all lagging every where....hehe

in term of area covered, 2.4ghz is far superior compare 5.0ghz...

but in term of stability and interference, 5.0ghz much superior...

hence, get router capable to had dual band...and also buy wifi stick to had both band... not so expensive by the way... aztech only cost around rm39 for dual band usb wifi...

just got my first month bill? some confusing here...can anyone explain to me?
what does the "recurring charges" mean? RM327.09-RM38.71?

[attachmentid=6485141]
*
your upgrade or new connection?

basically your first date of upgrade/installation is on 24 of the month but your cycle bill is on 21 of the month. plus unifi is advance one month that why it bit higher for first month...their concept pay first then use... you get higher discount on period between 24/3-21/4 due to this period is not enough one month... on 21/4-21/5 you get normal discount rm20.

the top recurring is summarize charge, bottom one is detailed part...

Mine is upgrade from Streamyx to UniFi, basically new UniFi account
any idea why RM149 (RM169-RM20)? I thought every month is RM179 (RM199-RM20)

and in the OCC portal, they charge RM29 for IPTV? I've never use HyppTV since day one, was not plugged at all

[attachmentid=6485211]
*
you are on 30mbps? if true mean that you get rm20 discount(if you get promo, you may check on occ portal under myservices tab)

RM149(after discount) + RM30(hypptv pack-aneka or rm30 pack) = rm179(promo time, now no promo)..

i think they didnt include hypptv on first bill... need to wait next bill whether they include or not...if not you are super lucky get 149 for the internet only....

p/s: interested to sell your hypptv set-up box?? hehehe

so for 1st bill, is this how they charge (current month+next 2 months)?
I'm on RM 179 30Mbps. when I signed-up through TM's website, there stated 1st month FOC, RM179 afterwards for 2yrs contract. Maybe as u said, 1st month HyppTV no charge...I wish can get RM149 for every month though, the HyppTV STB is in store room since day 1, not used at all..but I dont understand whey I got charged RM29 for IPTV?

Not planning to sell the STB though...TM might need it back during termination or network troubleshoot??

based on first your post(bill) i also notice you suppose got 1 month free but the date only stated 24/3/16-24/3/16. If you can remember when your installation, you can ask rebate due to the first month is free. if they install on 24/2/16, so no free as covered already.

Hi all,

I'm quite confused with Unifi bills that I received (ADV30 package).

This is the first bill from last month (installation date was 1st March 2016)

This is the second bill I received this month:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I expect first month's bill is higher, but why second month also RM210.30 but not RM179 + 6% GST?
Do I need to wait for their third month's bill to see normal amount?

icon_question.gif
*
install on 1/3, your bill cycle is 22 every month, so first bill is 1-21/3 and 22/3-21/4 that why little bit high.

on second, they charge on hypptv. your hypptv is charged from 31/3-21/4(after free period) and plus next month 22/4-21/5...

next month, you will get normal 179+6% gst.

Any idea I can still get the previos Unifi 5mbps package?
I searched their website and unable to find it.

30mbps packages is too expensive for me as I live alone. And I does not need that kind of speed.
*
you might be opt to celcom fiber....vip package already obsolete....

i didnt see any possible competitive on wired internet? all are back to tm backbone and lack of infra for others....

so how come the ceo just said competitive market? i think he is smoking weed maybe...

if you want to see competitive market... open access fiber to time, myrepublic and dont forget open the DSLAM also...

then it can call competitive market....

lucky now spectrum war is over... if not i think celcom and maxis je la will available...

seems like the problem is at tm side
got stuck at their server then request time out all the way
[attachmentid=6523957]

tm is closing the traceroute features.... so you cannot traceroute any web beyond tm wall...this is why we cant take legal action towards them if suddenly slowing down... just like previous slow down, take them around almost a week to give statement their cable broken... if not, they will stay quite....

and still no rebate given even we face the slowdown....

try this link guys...u will know what kind of internet activities is our isp recommended to used. after take my test...only one is not recommended using unifi. that is online gaming.

internet test speed
*
off course online gaming is not recommended as it is ping to us and will get around 200ms++... if ping to singapore, sure can play online gaming... that is limitation of geographic and speed of light....

Report to SKMM and see how.
I got audited by them last week on my previous complaint and they won't look in to this matter seriously since this could be the gaming server issue. What they will look at more on normal surfing.
Well, it is partly so TM is at the upper hand.
*
at the end they untung.... i am pretty sure underwater cable are insured and then they get the money from insurance company yet customer paid full amount without any apologize or what so ever promo(example free hypptv or free double speed for one month)

so double untung...
