Called TM yesterday and told them to upgrade to 100Mb but they said its gonna take 7 working days. I told them to go fly kites. I gave them my terms which is upgrade within 3 days or keep my current package and I will be jumping ship. Activation can actually be done in 24 hrs actually, but these lazy asses are taking 7 days to shake their balls? So, they either value their loyal customer or lose them.

She then reached her boss and everything. Then she read the TnC which includes the line that the upgrade will take 7 working days and she asked whether I agreed? I said I agree if my terms is met.

So let's see how it goes.

yesterday Unifi technician come to house to fix STB not function. after fixing ask them about 100mb.. he said ya got.. but u have to terminate current unifi and appy new....
*
No such thing as need to terminate then need to re-apply. It's just a plan upgrade.

Wrong person to ask. You should be asking the sales person, not the technician.

Update : Unifi confirmed that will be performing my upgrade for 100Mb on 7/4/2016. TM do value their customer I guess. thumbsup.gif

Just received call from TM. I was told that the RM 299 for Unifi Pro is valid for 24 months only. After the 24-month contract has ended, the price will go back to RM 329.
*
Yep true, I called to reconfirm. Same answer.

But within that 2 years sure got better offer one laugh.gif

Even after 24months, we can choose to terminate or downgrade if you feel the RM329 is too expensive. biggrin.gif

Hi guys...currently im using 50mbps unifi at home...is it worth it to change to TIME? Because now got promo that we can get rebate of rm500 from Time if we change from unifi to Time. Anybody have tried?
*
If I were you, I will make the change immediately. Worth every single cent plus higher bandwidth.

They will pay for your penalty (Max : RM500), above that u need to pay.

1. You can only migrate to TIME if TIME Fibre is available in your area. TIME fibre coverage is very limited. Check here http://www.time.com.my/support/internet-coverage-check
2. TIME no longer offer the RM500 penalty payment for people who move to them. That was a promotion offered before their new plans is launched
*
Didn't know about this. Everybody still thinks they offer doh.gif Thanks for the heads up

Why is the connection still shitty? Checked on speed test, all is good for my Unifi 30mb.

Connecting to US-based game servers, 300ms.
Loading Youtube videos also slow.
Accessing Facebook also cant and will be slow if I could

I can't work from home like this. It has been more than a month already.

Do I have to call those fuckers and maki them and asks what they have been doing with my 200MYR every month?

What can I do on my end?
*
Normally, I'll ask them to reset port and it should be good to go.

But from what your saying is that access to US site is slow. It's the submarine cable I guess.

can't even reach 100Mbps bro. Called up sc and the guy told me old one can support 200Mbps?
*
No such thing. It's either FastEthernet (100Mbit/s ) or GigabitEthernet (1000Mbit/s ).

If your BTU is using the FE one, confirm wont be able to hit 100Mb. You definitely need the GE one.

Just tell TM dont talk cock and change the BTU to the one that has GE. Good luck icon_rolleyes.gif

Complain to MCMC, is it by email or online form? Haven't done one before.
*
Complaint to CFM first : http://www.complaint.cfm.org.my/

If unresolved also, you may complaint to MCMC.

Normally CFM level they will take action already.

Good luck

100mbps port is just on paper but when we calculate overhead and other factors, you'll achieve less than 100mbps due to a limitation from the LAN port.
*
True, tested myself with a FE and GE port. FE never hits the 100Mb range.

QUOTE(ice.roman @ Apr 14 2016, 07:25 PM)
The TM guys just came and installed the Unifi Pro (100 Mbps). Surprisingly, they are not giving me the D-Link DIR-850L router, but the RG-INNATECH-RGX4400. Have you heard about this router before?

I tried the LAN connection, the download speed is around 102 Mbps, and the upload speed is around 52 Mbps. However, after they were gone and I tried the WiFi connection on my PC, the download speed is around 40 Mbps, and the upload speed is around 50 Mbps. Why the download speed is so low?

I then borrowed my neighbour’s D-Link DIR-850L, LAN connection is fine, but the WiFi connection is even worse, download speed is around 30 Mbps only. I thought D-Link DIR-850L can support 100 Mbps?

Any idea what’s wrong here?

These are some results when I tried to test the speed via my phone.
