1. I'm not sure why but my final price is about RM 500+ more expensive than yours?

2. What warranty options would you recommend for Lenovo laptops?

3. Do you know of any other laptop brands that have 5600H/5800H CPU without a discrete GPU? (The IdeaPad 5 Pro has the option to remove the discrete GPU but it only offers 5600U/5800U. All other Lenovo laptops that have 5800H CPU come with discrete GPUs without the option to remove them)

Kinda urgent, (1-2 weeks, but 1 month also can), RTX 3060 or 3070

Current laptop suddenly died. Suspect got shorted. Send to repair shop and if motherbord need to replace, plan to just buy a new one. Thanks for the help.

that's what resellers job for ODM laptops...clevo, tongfang, quanta, just to name a few

nothing bad, most laptop brands also sub to other ODMs (eg lenovo: lcfc+compal, dell: quanta - not for every models)

1st generation Illegear Onyx user here. My 3 year old Onyx has 2 problems:

1. Upper slot 2400mhz Ram kong and can't boot, Illegear replaced it on the spot and provided a free upgrade to 2666mhz.

2. Webcam after 2 years kaput, they pickup, replaced it and deliver back to me in 3 days.

Overall I am satisfied with their product and service provided.

Hi, looking for laptop for office type work (no need dgpu). Priority would be able to last long (build quality) as well as good battery life. 14-15 inch, budget RM3k. I saw from the ultrabook thread there's ideapad 5 and Acer swift 3, so something along those lines but whichever can possibly last the longest (for older person to use so don't want to have to replace it anytime soon)

Hello all, would like to ask what's the best bang for buck Thinkpad?

preference is it must be non Refurbished, not so old model, screen 13 or 14 inch, min 8gb ram, min 256gb SSD, not so outdated CPU, budget around 3 to 4k, maybe can stretch abit.

can take a look at Honor Magicbook X15, although specs are a bit low (shouldn't be a problem for your usage)
if u willing to gamble on ship time, Legion 5 Pro with 3060
can take a look at Magicbook Pro 16.1 or Matebook 14 R5-4600H
fine with used laptops? don't think got any decent new model unless sacrifice on specs or build

If longevity is your priority better get business laptops like thinkpad

not sure your budget can stretch a bit to get Thinkpad L14 G2 AMD or L15 G2 AMD (with coupon)

T14/T15/P14s/P15s has bad cooling and poor GPU perf when paired with dGPU, not recommending getting dGPU on these models
E series?

E series build quality and overall usage experience comparable with T or X series?
or got few compromise since it's the cheaper variant?

not as premium but still decent, it's catered towards consumer more instead of business

still a decent model overall (can't say the same for older E series era like Ex70 or older)

May I ask what discount code is this? I recently tried the discount codes I know on Lenovo's website but it seems that the Legion 5 Pro has a hard cap for the discount of 3% of the price.

The code I used is no longer valid. However there are RM350 codes still valid I think, go and ask ZM Fong who is the resident expert.

Even with those codes the price has gone up substantially since I purchased though so.... sorry for you.

It's okay, just hold bullet (assuming no urgent need, which should be the case la as you're looking at machines with a few months fulfillment time). There will always be something better around the corner (sooner or later).
