wah how often you change notebooks la? smile.gif

Previously was Razer Blade, wasn't it?

I have a P35X-V3 with me now, love the product very much. Awesome screen size, suddenly everything looks so small.

Love the laptop.
To be honest, the fan is quite ok for me, but the temp is quite hot, especially the GPU.
CPU can get max at 96c, and will throttle after that.
GPU can get max at 88c, and will throttle after that as well.
Fortunately it doesn't throttle too much while doing heavy gaming.
The temp on the keyboard surface is not that hot.

Still, I love the laptop.
Nice simple design, lightweight, thin, and comes with VGA port(Don't fully trust Adapters).

91C on CPU.
85-87C on the GPU.

Fan tend to be on the noisy side, but that's the price to pay for being thin.

I'm more enamored by the fact that my Aorus is more powerful than a GTX980 desktop card. So much graphics processing power in such a thin chassis.

That's a very good temp there for a thin SLI laptop.
Does the CPU and GPU throttled?

I'm already satisfied with my single 970M.
Can't imagine a dual 970M. drool.gif

It is phenomenal! An unexpected benefit of the Aorus is that it does not have Optimus to hinder it. To me, Optimus is more of a hindrance than helping. Optimus is designed to prolong battery life and usage of the laptop away from power plug, but auto-switching the GPU used from the discrete graphics cards (your 970M for example) to the integrated Intel GPUs on your Intel motherboard chipset. It works fine if you're planning to use your gaming laptop as a work laptop as well, as it will try to prolong the battery life by switching to intel GPU when not used in gaming. I did not buy my Aorus for anything other than gaming. The problem with Optimus is that instructions go through the Intel GPU first before it passed to the discrete GPU for gaming. That passthrough, more often than not, is not clean, and you'd sometimes get weird performance in gaming because the game does not fully harness the discrete GPU processing power with the Intel GPU getting in the way. That's Optimus to you. It helps in a way, and messes in another.

Because the Aorus has no Optimus workflow in it, all graphics processing power is done exclusively by the twin 970M cards. And because it is unfettered by any of the Intel GPU bullshit, it is the prime candidate for mobile G-Sync introduction by Nvidia soon. Soon, low framerates of 37-45fps I get from Assassin's Creed Unity and Far Cry 4 Everything MAX setting wont be distracting with mobile G-Sync smoothing it out. wink.gif

If there's a product in your lineup that combine both, (970M SLI + 3K screen) that would be most ideal. Then I don't have to get both the P35X and Aorus. tongue.gif

Pretty much every game I install and set maxed out runs above the playable framerates 45fps and above. Most of them stays at constant 60fps. Very very satisfied! thumbup.gif
