ILLEGEAR flagship Z series is now armed with the next generation NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU that handles almost all the latest games at the highest settings with ease. A few new features are also added to the all new Z series such as USB Type-C and VR( Virtual Reality). All this power packed into a light anodized aluminum chassis.

I have a slight problem, I suddenly noticed when I right click on my desktop for the contextual menu, it takes a lot longer than usual to load. Normally it'll just pop out after a second but now it takes around 3-5 seconds to show up.
My laptop is running SSD and I have checked for all the updates and also NVIDIA driver updates too.
Any ideas of what might be causing it? icon_question.gif

Not sure what version of windows but try this

If you're right clicking on a file then a loaded contextual menu would slow things down but you're referring just to the desktop. But coming from someone running running XP then perhaps I'm just outdated. I used TweakUI to remove unused document templates from Right-click > New > ...

Try to boot into safe mode or do a clean uninstallation. If issue still persists, that means it's hardware component problem. If the issue is gone, that means it's your software/3rd party software/app/driver problem.

I've tried do reinstall NVIDIA drivers but did not work. When boot in "safe mode", everything is fine but what do I do there? Once I restarted back to normal windows, the contextual menu still loads very long.

That doesn't sound to be related to Nvidia driver. You can do a clean reformat in this case.

will this long load of contextual menu on desktop affect other things? cause I don't want to go reinstall everything from scratch again if it's not that much of a problem...

Another day, another problem. Last night my laptop crashed and had the problem shown on the yellow screen picture. When I restarted it, it says no bootable device. I noticed that system files were saved on my SSD but my SSD cannot be detected from the booting operations. Only my hard drive can be detected. Urgently require instructions as I really need to do my group project report.

Try to run Nvidia DDU and also while during install Nvidia Driver select Custom install, tick the "Perform a Clean Installation". i tested it is fine when i change to "Discrete" mode. If under MS hybrid mode can try to disable the Nvidia GPU in device manager. Hope it helps.
