the GS60 with 970M (3GB DDR5) + 3k screen is around around 7.6k. Theres a few more GS60 models but no idea when those are coming in though:
- 3k + 970M 6GB DDR5
- FHD + 970M 3GB DDR5
- FHD + 970M 6GB DDR5

around 4k i don't think so la. Can refer to the previous 870M prices to give you an idea of the price range. should be 6k or so.

the 3gb or 6gb is the vram. For me personally, for a 15" laptop FHD is more than enough. Plus the 900 series GPU has DSR technology, which basically means that you can render in 4k or 3k then output in 1080p.

GT72 refreshed with GTX 900M graphics thumbup.gif

Saw the launch of one of the biggest leaps in mobile graphics we’ve seen in a long time. We’re talking of course about the NVIDIA GTX 900M series, which consists of the GTX 970M and the 980M. These come in distinctly different flavors, but they’re both extremely high-performing, while using less power than the previous generation.

If you want the best, the GTX 980M is your choice. A GT72 with the GTX 980M scores over 11000 points at stock frequencies in 3DMark 11 (with NVIDIA 344.00 drivers), whereas the GTX 970M outperforms the previous generation’s high-end offering GTX 880M in the same benchmark by scoring about 9200 points.

Price for new GS60/70 and GT72 with GTX970M and GTX980M is insane, gaming laptops become more expensive. Luckily I bought earlier, if I were to buy now, I would go for Alienware and Illegear which provide better after sales service.

I agree with you on the Alienware. Once my laptop broke on Thursday, i gave them a call and the next day ,Friday, they came and changed the whole motherboard no question asked. Just the initial problem which was unable to start with beeping sound at the beginning. They actually replaced it with a refurbished motherboard

I hope MSI will be like this in the near future. They are still new in Malaysia and still establishing themselves. Other than the service, I would stick to MSI. 2 weeks is too long. Sony takes 2-4 weeks for their laptop repairs too. This year Sony stops their laptop business.
