You can check your Maybankard 2 Cards transactions online with Maybank2U.com

If you do not have a Current or Savings Account with Maybank but you want a Maybank2U online account to check your Maybankard 2 Cards transactions, you need to go to a Maybank branch to get it done. Better that you inform the officer that you want the Maybankard 2 Visa or MasterCard as the main account and add your Maybankard 2 Amex to it. However if you want your Maybankard 2 Amex to be the main card for the account, when you first log in to register username add 0 to the 15 digits of your Amex card. Maybank2U for Maybank Credit Cards - You Don't Need To Have A Maybank Current or Savings Account.

However, if you are new to credit cards, I strongly recommend that you DO NOT opt for the paperless option (i.e. receive our monthly statements online) until you familiarize yourself with Statement Balance, Outstanding Balance, Minimum Payment and Payment Due Date.

Maybankard 2 Cards FAQ:

0. This is a 2 cards combo - AMEX together with master/visa, you CANNOT cancel the master/visa and activate the AMEX alone.
1. The rebate is calculated according to the CALENDER month.
2. The rebate is usually credited to the AMEX card on the 1st or 2nd of the month.
3. For Principal Cards, the RM50 GST for AMEX is waived (for cards approved before 9 July 2014), but RM50 GST for Visa/MC remains. So cards approved before 9 July 2014, RM50 GST. Cards approved after 9 July 2014, RM100 GST.
4. For Supplementary cards, RM25 GST is imposed onto each Amex, Visa or MasterCard, so the total is RM50.
5. The GST will be billed a month or two after you received the card.
6. If you receive the cards through postage, you can activate it online through M2U (though some reported activation is not required). If you get your cards from the bank/credit card center counter, you do not need to activate it.
7. You do not need to post back the acknowledgment copy when you receive the card by post/courier.
8. The weekend rebate capped of RM50/month for the Maybankard 2 Amex is shared between the Principal and Supp cards.
9. If your M2U shows that you have a Maybankard 2 Cards Account, congratulations, it means you 'll be getting the cards soon. Call Customer Service if you do not want the cards or call them anyway to confirm.
10. You don't need to have a Savings Accounts or other Banking Accounts to have a M2U account for your MBB 2 Cards. You need to go to the branch to sign up for M2U to view your transactions online. Some branches are known to be unable to link both cards into a single M2U account.
11. If you cannot swipe the card at the merchant, call Customer Service number behind the card.
12. Fastest way to get the Maybankard 2 Cards is go and apply at MBB Card Centre at 1U or KLCC where they are supposed to process your application within an hour (Monday to Friday).
13. The 5% cash back on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) for MBB 2 AMEX includes Petrol and is additional to the 5X Treats Points. However it is reported that some online transactions on weekends DO NOT earn the 5% cash back as it depends on the timing the merchant processes the transaction.
14. Maybank Platinum credit cards including MBB 2 does not grant free access to KLIA or LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge.
15. You earn 1x TP everyday with your Maybankard 2 Visa or MasterCard and including Petrol. Good for stations that does not accept AMEX.
16. If you link your pay pal account to MBB 2 AMEX, it will take 2-3 days before it is shown in M2U.
17. 12,500 Treats Points (inflated since 1st Aug 13) to offset RM50 annual GST. Call Maybank Customer Service (Tel No. behind your card) or redeem online at https://www.maybankard.net.my/.
18. This is what is mentioned behind our Maybankard Statement - Foreign Charges converted by AMEX apply a coversion factor of 2.5% to the converted amount plus 0.5% administration cost imposed by Maybank.
19. The Maybankard 2 AMEX earns you 1x TP for every RM charged to your card by default. The rest of the TP is recorded as 4x bonus TP (written as MAYBANKARD 2 AMEX 4X BONUS in your statement), making it a total of 5x TP for all charges made to your MBB2 AMEX.
20. To earn the 5% cash back, TRANSACTION DATE shown in M2U or statement must be on weekend (Sat/Sun), posting date does not matter.
21. The 5% Cash Back payout MONTH is subjected to POSTING DATE not transaction date. You will always get the cash back on the 1st day of the following month straight after the POSTING DATE. Here's a detail example by ronnie
22. You can choose your preferred statement date, just call customer service to request.
23. For EzyPay via Amex aka installments during weekend, cash rebate and treat points will be given for the FULL AMOUNT one shot and not by the monthly installments amount.

PAYPAL + Amex + RM = no go
PAYPAL + Amex + foreign currency = good to go
PAYPAL + Visa/Master + RM/foreign currency = good to go

Using Maybankard 2 AMEX to Pay for Maxis bill option

Not working anymore. According to Maxis CS, not possible to pay via IVR anymore. Last month and this month i try again but always failed to process my payment

I thought so too, I tried last weekend was not successful then straight away got connected to Maxis CS, but the CS guy said in his system the Amex payment was received. Then I call up MBB CS and confirmed that no transaction has been made.

Time to use PB VS to pay in Maxis pay then...

yeah, i was surprised too. the previous version was like just few days ago for me. i still remember i reported in too early that time. lol...

i try to use amex on weekend for petrol and pay bill.. but dont have any 5% rebate. it isnt rebate will appear on next month bill or how?

yes, need to pay rm100 gst but witht the recent promo, you can get rm100 cb to cover it.

Nope. Previously I said that it was RM 0.

alright.. wait for the future and see.. temporary im new subscriber will entitled on rm100 gst cash rebate.. so far ok on it. just recent wanna buy firefly tickets with amex but come out error.. after call customers service, no problem on my card.. probably amex transaction server down, then i direct use VISA to process.. cant earn the 5X TP..

There are people reporting that AmEx sometimes will have errors for online purchases, so you will need to call CS to unblock it.
I didn't have such issue though.

i called CS and she told me everything alright.. nothing wrong on my card.. probably is server problem.. previous i faced AMEX transaction down for petrol pump.. then i move first and pump later and its worked..


correct.. for flight ticket, urgent to me, its ok for me to not earn the points.. as long as the ticket bought.. just first time using CC to buy ticket.. maybe will try again for next purchase with AMEX.. hopefully its work for me..

I have a bad habit of always paying up my credit card 2-3 days after swiping my card. Normally my monthly statement displays 0. Is there any impact of not displaying a good paymaster record?

yes, as stated in post #2. whatever the actual date is. before july 2014.

your 2nd question is actually very confusing. most ppl pay based on due date, although i've seen in the forum some saying they pay immediately after swiping. i don't think someone like you has a 'bad' habit.

as for the 2nd part of the question, yes, it will be reflected in your CCRIS if you were late for your payment. late, as in zero payment after due date, then subsequently any loans you want to apply in future, bank will look at your ccris before deciding.

Do check out for any changes after the GST implementation.

Hi Vervain, for your 1st question, yes, and you're only liable for any applicable GST on the the next anniversary of your card approval date.

As for your 2nd question, it's indeed a good habit to make full payment on any day as long as it's before the due date to avoid prevailing interest charges and by doing so, it shows that you're a good paymaster in bank's internal record as well as CCRIS. CCRIS will capture payment pattern base on minimum payment, partial payment and full payment reported by financial institutions on each month.

Ok. I've confirmed with mbb cs that it was apparently because i missed a payment on Dec for Nov statement. But i've checked my records, and i did made a payment via CIMB interbank transfer. But this transaction is not reflected in my mbb records. The CS lady said i could prove that i did make payment, she can put up request for reversal of intrest rate but subject to management approval.

How should i proceed about this? Deal with CIMB first to verify the transaction, or send the transaction details to MBB and let them sort it out?

you mean you did an ibg transfer from cimb to mbb but the money deducted from cimb and did not received by mbb?

No, i've been using it since i got my mbb2cards.

The only problem was that i accidentally scheduled early payment on 17th Nov, but the statement came out 18nov and due date was 8th Dec. I found out i missed the payment on 10th, and informed CS. They said 3 days grace period, so no worries. Still can bank in and won't be considered late payment.

The weird issue is that for visa i bank in via CDM on 10th. When i want to do for amex, cdm duwan to accept my notes. So i use cimbclicks. This cimbclicks is the one didn't show up in mbb statement now.

Both cards sharing the same credit limit, not separate credit limit as what you think. You can pay 8k using 1 card.
ezypay 0% interest applicable to merchants that offers the installment plan with 0% interest.
let say the merchant you are to pay 8k offer installment plan with 0% interest for 6/12/18/24 months then you can divide the 8k accordingly to pay monthly. as simple as standard 2 math.

Total credit limit of your card is 10k, you can use either one up to 10k, not mean 5k per card

Example, use for 8k on Amex, your sufficient credit limit only left 2k to be use, can be use on Amex or Visa/Master for another 1k

its either, its didn't show in current month statement, but it will show on the next month statement,

or ibg bounce back, should see the money back to your cimb account.

You should have M2U account to track this kind of thing.

Gracias. My 2nd question depicts an early settlement. For example, I swipe 10k. I pay in 3 days which is still before the statement is issued. My outstanding shows zero. Then at the end of the month, when statement is issue, it displays 0. This means there is no payment trend being logged since i do an early payment before the month rolls.

No, that is for Membership Rewards point, not Treat Points

usage of amex can get 5x points. in statement they will separate 1x and 4x which actually equals to 5x as a total.

Sounds stupid for the 5x. Think back, I should have swiped using my other cards.

At least other cards I don't need to pay that soon. I'm the dumbest fool of the world.

2800 = 14k TP and due date is mid of next month
or
2800 = RM 28 (1% OCBC Ti) and due date is end of Feb



So stupid.

Based on my own standard using Aeon RM100 = 25k TP
14k TP = RM56 not better than RM28 ?

RM2,800 at 3% FD for a month = RM7

Bought RM 3149 and used my OCBC Ti... I paid RM 2300 so much earlier, could have used that money in my Japan trip.

I think you can email your academic qualification proof as supporting document as well

Does this means, if I purchase a watch from an Online Watch Store that costs USD520, (using Google conversion) it will cost me MYR 1866.64, then Amex + MBB administration charges will add another 3% (MYR 1866.64 * 0.03=MYR56), bringing my total expenses for this transaction to MYR 1922.64?

please mind u that bank foreign conversion is much much much more higher than Google and most currency exchange company...

last two weeks i went overseas and called CS to activate oversea spending flag.
CS added some information to me about additional charges which is 1% fixed currency conversion rate.
On top of that AMEX currency conversion rate of AT LEAST 2.5%.
