QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Feb 2 2015, 10:55 AM) just a precaution. if u set the limit low enough, it will trigger the SMS alert to you, if the transaction went through. that way, you could have known if they had charged u on the spot. But sometimes the sms ll comes few hours later especially u r overseas.

QUOTE(nickcct @ Feb 5 2015, 08:37 AM) Does Agoda accept AMEX transaction in MYR? Then found out some of the deal in Agoda more cheaper in apps compared to MBB Agoda page as well. I found out that booking thru Agoda, the room rates is more expensive than I walk in rates. I am comparing the 2 hotels I staying in thailand as I normally book my room by walking in. Think of earning extra points n I check the agoda, the quoted rates is more expensive, haven't included the 16% charges somemore. Anyone can comment?

QUOTE(David83 @ Feb 8 2015, 04:50 PM) I'm also preparing some budget for pre-GST purchases too! Please share what is worth buying before gst slapped on us. I don't mind stocking up the items just to save that 6% not to flow in to the cronies pockets eventually.

QUOTE(David83 @ Feb 8 2015, 04:58 PM) I'm considering things that have long expiry date or won't expire such as toilet rolls and toiletries. There's should be a guide circulating online that has illustration what items will experience price hike after GST. You can start from there. For instance; consumer electronics for sure. My list are shampoos, body showers. Milk powder (stock up already and the price has increased before gst), mamypoko, washing liquid like dynamo. Can spread the purchase in feb n march to max out all the credit cards I have.

QUOTE(peri peri @ Mar 3 2015, 09:32 AM) i redeemed all my TP for Aeon Big gift cards, then went to purchase something with big value from Aeon Big, then immediately make refund at information counter. Instant TP to CASH Im a genius! Then, can we use credit card to buy cash vouchers or gift card n max out the cash rebates by 1st week of the month n go buy big items n refund back to cash? Like this if works, I ll apply all credit cards come with rebates n ll make money with every cards. Will use my father mother brother sister name to apply cards too.....

QUOTE(kinabalu @ Mar 5 2015, 04:12 PM) So basically for people like me who get tax rebate instead of paying more tax unable to join the contest then. Ask the company stop deducting tax as we ll do the deduction thru credit card monthly.

QUOTE(QPheng @ Mar 16 2015, 10:46 AM) Just an advice, whether you choose to share your credit limit with the supp card or impose a certain amount of credit limit to the supp card, just make sure that you're fine that the shared credit limit spend by the supp card are within your tolerance in case the supp card choose not to pay for whatever reason. He may be sub the card to impress his gf or luring the friend to be his gf or that is his really bff.

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Apr 4 2015, 10:38 AM) The problem is TP can be used to redeem for vouchers and items. To say that TP should not charge GST means they 'selling' you an item and you didn't pay GST on it. Vouchers I agree is unfair as charged GST already. This needs to be sorted out by customs. Hopefully later if redeem for MAS flight n not charge another round of gst on the TP.
