QUOTE(terence_say @ Feb 10 2015, 12:41 AM) Any singapore income earner here apply for this card? I got my mbb2plat years ago by using sg payslip, at jb mbb.Do they do any conversion from SGD to MYR in term of annual income ? Wish to apply for this card but not sure entitle for platinum or not. During application, diff mbb staff give diff answer, some say 1:1, some said 1:2 only, some said subject to HQ approval. My gf, sgd earner, applied mbb2plat thru agent, and the agent downgrade her app to mbb2gold without informing her. When we found out, ques him, he say minimum 5k for mbb2plat and its 1:1 (my gf earn 4k+ sgd) Luckily my friend know a mbb HQ manager. With his help, my gf manage to appeal and get mbb2plat. Even this manager also dont understand why there is no proper guideline/standardized requirement. So, yeah, just apply it, as long as you apply at mbb then should be ok. Dont go through agent, no offend, but they will do anything just to get commision. This post has been edited by apj8188: Feb 11 2015, 07:04 AM |

QUOTE(Prodigenous Zee @ Feb 10 2015, 08:21 PM) To be honest none of this really matters anymore as the RM50 GST will be abolished once the 6% GST kicks in, which is only 2 months away. Thanks for your reply. Honestly, I find this unbelievable as the Govt is trying to discourage the use of credit cards. Abolishment of this not only reduces an income source for the govt but will also make credit cards more desirable to get.I tried googling about the abolishment of the RM50 service tax once GST kicks in. Other than an article on the Rakyat Post, I can't find any other announcement from an official source (Bank Negara/Maybank/Royal Customs). Could you share a link to confirm this? Thanks very much. |

Planning to upgrade to Platinum as my current salary is over the minimum requirement. what are the chances of my card getting upgraded to plat? as long as annual income over 60k, should be ok. just bring 3 months payslip and epf statement should be ok as i did mine. if always pay cc bills full on time, an added advantage + higher credit limit |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Feb 10 2015, 11:21 PM) I stand corrected. I edited my original post to reflect this QUOTE(ZeaXG @ Feb 11 2015, 12:02 PM) I tried googling about the abolishment of the RM50 service tax once GST kicks in. Other than an article on the Rakyat Post, I can't find any other announcement from an official source (Bank Negara/Maybank/Royal Customs). From the industry guides list on the GST website, you will find the guide on commercial banking. The relevant information is on page 5 of the document (page 7 in PDF). Although there is no direct quote saying that the RM50 GST will be abolished, it does say that the the GST will be charged on annual fees instead.Could you share a link to confirm this? Thanks very much. |

Judging by the posting, i guess the best deals would be going for the AEON voucher and redeem them on the spot.
