The only place i can enjoy consistant lte signal is langkawi. Most of the places i visited got lte signal. Also forst time i saw full bar signal there.

which part of penang bro? i had used mine in seberang jaya, butterworh, raja uda, batu kawan, bertam, BM, bayan baru, batu maung, gurney, tanjung bungah, batu ferringhi..all ok only..speed wise better than my ex(maxis)..coverage more or less the same

today LTE got problem. no network and keep dropping to H+ and 3G. i changed the mode to WCDMA only to reduce the LTE search. hahaha...damn dunno what's the problem

Common sense when you are travelling out of country with auto roaming.


1. DISABLE your data (your phone settings)
(credit limit doesnt apply here even tho u set minimum rm100 will charge until u disconnect)
2. DISABLE your voice mail (request celcom or your can do ocs)

For those who travel out of malaysia. Celcom will charge you roaming rates when someone calls you and you happen to be in another country when you did not pick up the call and it goes to voicemail. I find this crazy because maxis and digi does not charge anything when you are out of the country and calls goes to voicemail. They only charge when you call to retrieve voicemail. But celcom charges you roaming rates for all calls that goes into voicemail and again charges you to retrieve voicemail.

nahtanoj thats why need to ask customer service to disable. i never like voice mail. plus we have whats app whats the need for voice mail. i have been with digi / maxis /umobile / etc always disable them when ever i have new line post paid or prepaid. useless

i'm currently set auto-bill with amex, and it works although there is no amex logo during the setup in ocs. i'm asking coz i'm new customer of celcom FB38 and i didn't see the 5% off being credited into the 1st and 2nd celcom statement.

i'm currently set auto-bill with amex, and it works although there is no amex logo during the setup in ocs. i'm asking coz i'm new customer of celcom FB38 and i didn't see the 5% off being credited into the 1st and 2nd celcom statement.

Is there a way to get them to email you the bill instead of having to log into the OCS every time you want to check the bill?

There's an email setting there but I dont receive the bill by email.

Also, one thing about disabling voicemail is that I read that it also disables your missed call SMS notification which is screwed up because on Digi which I used previously the two settings are separate.

Coverage has been terrible lately around Jalan Ampang area. It's like my data is being throttled! Open FB takes forever. Send whatsapp msg also so slow. On 4g. I tried changing between 4g and 3g multiple times but still the same nonsense.

So far not problem with my First 38 plan. I ported from Tunetalk so basically same network coverage/quality. Did notice that line does get timed out on rare occasion but not a bother to me.

Only issue is that the first bill for my two individual First 38 lines are different. Both numbers were ported from Tunetalk. doh.gif First bill for Line 1 was ~RM41 only. First bill for Line 2 was ~RM81. rclxub.gif I did not pay anything upfront during registration for both lines.

I noticed this too. My parents house at kepong used to have 4g before, and usually 2g and 3g are hard to connect there, and I'm quite surpise with the good connection of 4g available. Until three weeks ago, no longer can get the 4g signal anymore.

When I back to my place at selayang, no 4g, and 3g will just connected like 5-10 min, and then disconnected by showing full signal, but unable to make or receive call, and no internet as well.

But these doesn't happend at my office in Cheras. So I guess maybe it's coverage problem.

Filed a report and talk to customer service, he suggest me to restart phone.. troubleshoot etc, nothing works. Trying the celcom3gmcc apn now, let's see will it get better...

My experience with Celcom. I worked in Shah Alam and the coverage in Shah Alam is absolutely good especially the 4G. I am very happy from using it! When back to PJ area, the coverage was just so-so and coverage in KL also the same so-so. It depends on the coverage and the number of people using the network.

If not mistaken, many using Celcom now la coz it's cheap so do expect some network congestion. Overall, I have no problem with it. Sometimes just like Arghhh....why no line or line weak? Ok la for me since I use it to FB most of the time.

Some of the company got even cheaper like those who working with Sime Darby affiliated company, for rm 38 they got 5Gb instead of 3Gb. This plan actually existed years before but only for corporate user before celcom open it to general user. Last year celcom lost few hundred millions RM (forgot the exact value) because many of subscriber MNPed to another telco and as desperate counter measure, this plan was introduced to general user for limited time.

i manage to change to the celcom3gmcc APN..before this use celcom3g APN manage to get 7MBp/s..after change got 22mbps..

Location..Jalan Pejabat..Kuala Terengganu. biggrin.gif

But the cons is..its take time to lock in data when in celcom3gmcc..but using celcom3g..can lock instantly..

Jumped to celcom from Maxis in june and never regretted ever since. Getting stable H+ and in some parts 4G at this ceruk called seri iskandar. Before mnp-ing, Maxis offered to give me a similar plan at rm46 and iirc, 100sms and call. Didn't really mind the rm8 difference but the plan only for 1 year, after that normal price again. Haih maxis, if you not so kedekut, i would've stayed. lol

Higgsboson8888 normally after 8 day of your bill cycle it will come out the download bill details. I have three line. 2 have but the othere one dont have i also wonder why.... Btw the amount you get i think is correct cause prorated.

I thinks it depends on the location..whether yours is peak or not..if use celcom3gmcc can selit a bit..if too congsted..same speed.. sweat.gif ..

For data hungry user..can use Opera Max..this apps can shrink your data..i have been using it over a month..can save up to 1.5GB permonth..then forward to next month..got 4.5gb..

Since this is an app..your device is a quad core processor..1GB ram..and on LTE..less then that tends to reduce the speed..not too slow..but noticable

I just registered for this plan on June.
During registration I had to pay RM40.30. I was told it was for advance bill payment.

But next month I was charge with One Time Charges - Advance Payment RM38.

I had a friend registered at the same blue cube but did not paid any deposit and he did not get charge with this one time charge.

Do any of you have the same experience ?
Is it compulsory to pay the Advance Payment RM38 ?

I just chat with the customer service he told, that one time charge is compulsory.

basically only mnps are not being charged with one month advance promotion i supposed.
Likewise being new customer in any telco normally there are charges like advance payment. Back then when i was in maxis they didnt charge the advance due to "loyal" customer.

If you are porting from maxis and digi. shouldnt be. Time to use the ocs's online chat

to save more by choosing online billing rm3
apply autobilling 5% off
if you have hlb essential use it as your auto billing. 1% off more
totaling 6%.

Registered this plan on the 15th of july. Last day before promotion end and a day before raya. Mnp-ed from maxis rm68 4gb.
Conclusion after 3 weeks of usage: maxis is wayyy better. But of course way expensive. Rm68 was for data only not including call n sms.
This is my third data plan. Previously using digi smart plan rm68 (3gb) and maxis after that.
The connection always intermittent mostly when the phone on iddle state. My phone always showing no service. Imagine when u receive important or urgent call at that time. Luckily this is not my prime number since i got a dumb phone for that.
Data coverage also bad at my hometown ( near kuantan). I need to go outside to use the data ( for whatsapp,fb etc) while my brother using maxis got 4g even inside the house.
Do i regret after change to celcom?? No, since this plan so damn cheap. Maxis will charge me rm 48 for extra gb but for rm50 you got 5 gb with celcom. Yup, umobile is even cheaper but the coverage is worse than digi. I will stick to the big three even when i change to other telco in future.

Thanks bro! Well, back to July, I can't connect my facebook using my mobile data, even try to reset my phone and change my sim card still can't connect with facebook. I thought it was the Google framework causes this problem so I go contact google and HTC (my phone is One M9+) for this issue, after a week get the mail from Google state that there is no problem to connect to facebook with mobile data... Then till head of this month, saw a thread in lowyat state that they also can't connect to facebook, then there is a solution, make a new apn, name celcom3g and set using celcom3g line then save... Problem solve lol
I almost sell my phone because I can't used the mobile data, really almost.... == BTW, my gf mnp to this plan too, from the orange telco biggrin.gif I'm in Penang studying now, hometown in Alor Setar, the line coverage is OK, but sometimes it took awhile to call ppl, 4G coverage is just OK... I didn't required a fast data speed, just need it to be stable, can surf the net smoothly is enough, so far so good.... I'm using the 5% rebate when I sign up this plan biggrin.gif

the thing about busting the quota with Celcom is you are still able to do light surfing, GPS still work and wechat doesn't take the whole damn evening to send a message.

with maxis, your only activity would be whatsapp.

Never mind, already resolved it, turn off the phone and turn it back on.. Didn't know that the solution sweat.gif

Anyway, I log on to celcom online, I notice LTE not check in the value added service (VAS), previously it was checked/ticked on my previous account.. Only stated that 3G 2/7.2mbs.. Maybe that's the reason why everyone experiences slow internet connection..

No service at all? That is really bad. I switch from Maxis to Celcom but when I was at Celcom....the staff did brief me very clearly what will happen and how many day it will take effective and the staff also provide me a number to call should I face any issue. I ever downgrade my plan while I was with Maxis, same thing the customer service explain to me clearly.

My office no signal.. my home no signal. 3G on the go is shit. from phone lot of VOIP Apps wont work for making overseas call. Which used to work very clear when using Maxis line.

So I consider Celcom is not for me. so port out.

it is good becos it was overflowed with ppl when they introduced basic 38.. which made celcom worse than umobile or digi in most of the places..

Got such thing setting for Telco ? I am using Moto G, with pure google rom. Everything works just that network speed is not satisfactory. Call quality also quite bad compared to Maxis. Most building Celcom doesnt have coverage, some places parking lot.

I agree that celcom has better coverage outside of Klang Valley. Anyway with my calls Celcom 38 bill goes to RM100 over. just shift to unlimited calling package easier and better and cheaper.

Anyway factory normally the wall is interfering with the signal.
And other factor that the factory is far away from the transmitting tower.

Same like my office cacated up down. once out of the office...

Can't understand why so many customers complained about Celcom speed and coverage. I've been using it for years, most of my time around KL and Selangor, drive back to hometown heading north, the best coverage on highways still...

1800 is issued by TM. Thus calling from TM fixed line it is free. Calling from mobile is charged, even if you have unlimited call plan.

If not got to SMS/MMS settings, turn off Auto Push Message Download.

Just max up 5GB easier. If unused got more than 3GB after your billing cycle, 3GB will be carried forward to the next month.

Definitely a lot better cos I call frequently. Most charges because entering voice mails due to bad coverage from celcom. Last time the 50 free mins will finish within few days.

A lot better now plus with 7GB data. Dont mind paying RM70 instead of RM38 now.

Whatsapp calls required really stable connection and good ping time. I guess every mobile networks are congested during night time because of many people at home, using Internet. Also the call depends on WhatsApp servers too, which I believe are located in the US.

May I know how does this advance payment actually works for Celcom?

I have a supplementary 1+5 plan being charged RM30 advance fee for the first month.

However, my second month bill doesn't deduct the RM30.

So when will they rebate me the RM30?

I dont understand why is my monthly charges at RM41 instead of RM38. If it's for GST, why is there another 6% tax charged (RM2.51) ?

I've already make a complaint to Celcom . Before this, my friend also experiencing this issue.

I'm using cheap Android phone, my friend using Iphone 6.

Why internet connectivity quality lately quite teruk eh. Even in KL area, especially at Ampang Park and KLCC also can simply fluctuate between Edge and 3g and H+.

Luar KL lagi la, signal showing 3g/h+ but the dsta counter stay at 0.0K/s...

Don't forget to forward the report to MCMC oso. So they can be fined. Report to celcom only oso no use most of the times. Need to let MCMC knows as well.

Yup, OCS no problem. It's just that sometimes I forget my OCS pass so USSD code retrieval would be more convenient.
I also noticed that after I changed to this plan from another celcom postpaid plan, I have not been getting any sms to inform
of my bill per month like it used to. Strange sweat.gif

Still havent get back my advance payment. Worse is that Celcom keep spinning when I reported to SKMM. Keep saying this and that despite the fact they charge me RM38 and then another pro-rated RM15.xx for 2 weeks usage. Second month was ok.

Firstly explain its advance. Then now say its commitment. Damn... strangely though I had no problem with other lines which MNP from DiGi. Only the one I registered first to try.

No, you got it wrong. The RM20 rebate is only meant for if you subscribe to the First One plan. It doesn't mean give you rebate on existing current plan.

i said yea done all, i said i even swapped in a umobile sim into my phone and it works pretty fast.

just sell of the phone or use it as a back up.

The one plan isnt bad no carry forward and it has extra 10 min / 10 sms.

For me i will opt for the first 38 ( more benefit(s))

Here's the thing I have been using DIGI for almost 8 years until Celcom introduced FirstBasic38 since April 2015.

It was a great deal. I travel around Malaysia due to my nature of job however i realize whenever I am in office around klcc area. I received 1 bar or no network for all the time. People cant call me because no signal , no internet or running E most of the time.

Therefore I made a report on 20th October 2015 , report ID : 1-72634291346
There did call back one timeafter a few days but problem still exist after that.
I told them to fix it asap but no response after that.

After that I call to Celcom almost alternate day to see if they have already sell it or not. However everytime i called, they said that the issue is resolved but actually no. There is one time even funnier that the customer service said that if they try to call 3 times but no one answer, they will consider it as case resolved. The problem is I have receive 0 miss call from celcom and they couldn't even reach me at all due to no signal.

Today I have made another report again, if they do not solve it, I will just opt for other telco.

yeah.. i complained them online and they told me they already block those mms service. will see next month. my unbilled amount is at rm6.00 already from that mms service alone. cry.gif

i am living in kajang area so my coverage here is pretty good .. the reason i switch to celcom just because the plan is kinda cheap and the internet quota can carry forward to next month if it not finish use ~ that is one of the good advantage LOL ~ ..

usually i not using much call and i relay to internet for waze and checking mail or message only ..

Celcom 4G coverage not as strong as maxis.
I am replying in Damansara jaya area (town) still cant get 4G. Only 3G with signal 80%. If use 4g, 20%.

Don't be so happy about it. Sometimes celcom go crazy, got extra data brought forward from last month oso they don't acknowledge. Suddenly got capped at 3gb oso. Regardless the fact that i hv extra MB as stated in their sms.

Is there any solution to get an ontime notification regarding our monthly bill? I only receive last minute notification so far. Really annoying.

YOu can subscribe to Celcom online customer service and check from there. its free and you can check everything there....

Forget about it. Very slow connection and totally not responsive all the time. Connected but cant use.

U need to connect to the tm wifi first, then follow the instructions, there will be pop up to guide u. Basically sent an sms to activate your device mac address.

Actually you should try it in Sunway blue cube. Ran a speed test and i got 10mbps uplink and downlink.
But subang parade blue cube, i baling batu can travel faster than the wifi speed.
Btw, why connect to TM wifi first? If got celcom wifi, you just need to click on the Celcom Wifi SSID. hmm.gif

Which is correct.

recent surge in traffic making celcom quality downgraded a lot.
So test it out first before jump ship.

Overall still great in terms of line but not really data
