I got that too. I'd be pissed if they cancel the 38 plan and migrate all of us to the 48

If you use a lot of calls which surpass the free 50 minutes on the FIRST Basic 38 then it is worth considering changing to FIRST Gold.

In terms of data, if you use a lot of data on weekends then it is also worth to change to FIRST Gold. Otherwise I feel that the old FIRST Basic 38 plan is better for people who use mobile data more on weekdays because we can Max Up RM50 to add another 5GB making it total of 8GB all-day data for RM88.

Hahaha. Now that you have put it that way, it is harder for me to choose. Currently on Basic 38. Basically 3GB is not enough for me nowadays. It used to be enough but spotty wireless at the office now makes me rely on my mobile internet more. I am now eyeing U Mobile's P70. Bought their prepaid just to test the line and looks good so far for the places that I often go to. Will see for a few more days

Anyone of you being charged RM 38 per day for using line overseas?

From my past travels I haven't been charge, I disable data before I take off so need not worry about accidental connection and what not. Only the comms line for voice call / sms is connected.

Set it to 2G/3G only too. From past experiences, connecting it through overseas 4G network will trigger some sort of data packets exchange eventhough you switched off data roaming and you will immediately be billed RM38 by Celcom.
