Anyone notice First Basic 38 plan WiFi quota has been upgraded from 3GB to 4GB now?

All the telcos are facing bandwidth bottlenecks now. Celcom charging RM20 for additional 1GB internet with their First Gold plan. Digi reduce their "Unlimited" Midnight Internet quota from 30GB to 10GB.

Bloody fucking hell...

Oh, and those of you upgrading to First Gold from other Celcom plan, get ready to be hit by penalty of 1 month's commitment fee of your previous plan.

According to them, for the 1st month of subscription, they pro-rate their charges unlike other telco who don't pro-rate, so for your last month of subscription, they charge you a full month's fee. That's fair enough la, but it's not like I canceled my subscription with them, I upgraded to their more expensive plan, give them more revenue. Fuckers. Diberi betis hendak paha.

My billing cycle ends on the 24th every month and I switched to First Gold on the 25/5/16. So, because of that 1 day, for my June bill, Celcom charged me RM38 + RM80 (excluding GST, etc).

i ask friendly handphone shop to cut old xpax big chip and he cut to nano for FREE. and yeah new nano sim just working fine. 

why the Celcom FIRST Basic 38 didn't have the upgrade plan?

Actually the basic 38 plan is good for people who use less internet and have wifi at office or unifi at home. In the first place the basic 38 already have  200% more internet than its original quota. When the plan is furst introduce, it comes with 1Gb internet only. During promo they bump up the quota for those register during the promo period from 1GB to 3GB internet. Plus can carry forward full 3GB quota if cannot finish.

But of course the current first gold, first gold plus looks tempting. But if we do not utilise that much, will end up oaying too much or paying extra than what we actually need 😁😁😁

Might as well subscribe to first gold plus...20+20GB. the maxis also can terminate     

Add on 4gb wifi plus which available near my opis make this plan is diff to terminate.

yup, that is also true in a way to have different telco for us to stay connected...but i just use prepaid for the standby line  haha...or else end up paying too much to telco's.

This current rm38 plan data isn't enough for me anymore, anyone know how much if I wish to upgrade to maybe 1 or 2gb more? I actually wanted to change plan but the rm45 seems not worth it, and the first gold plan RM80 is too much

Im going to Maxis tomorrow (if my ankle is not swollen that badly) to port in too. Celcom just is not giving much value nowadays. They aint giving us any option to upgrade to 5+5 that tbe Blue are having. If you sign for Gold or Gold Plus, you still cant do anything about the supplementary lines. Unless Celcom forced First 38 all onto First Blue 5+5, I think they will lose many First 38 users.

If I goto Maxis, I may be getting 10+10 only for RM98 but in return my supplementary getting 5+5 with unlimited calls. It just does not make sense to have 2 First 38 lines anymore.

Went today and didn't port. Apparently I'm going to ask my cousin to recommend me. Current Maxis OnePlan recommend can get 1 month FOC for you if you take any One Plan, credited on 2nd and third month.

they are very very bad at office. not sure at home though. didn't have maxis users at home.
