Example, If you purchase ip4 32GB on Ivalue 1 X 12 months contract = RM1990

Ivalue 1 : RM400 for 24 months and RM200 for 12months <--advance payment
ivalue 2 :RM620 for 24 months and RM200 for 12 months
ivalue 3 : RM1250 for 24 months and RM500 for 12 months
ivalue 4: RM2000 for 24 month, RM1000 for 12 months

This so called advance payment is either Swap your credit card which is not under installement plans, however there is a rebate RM40 X 5 months = RM200 which is credit back in your bill.
Basically the advanced payment will be credited equally over in 1st 5 months of your bill. [credit weileong]

local calls means calls in malaysia nee. international calls are excluded from the 100bucks. i tink d maxis fella is sleepin on his job. get his name n complain to his superior.

Huh??? Local calls aren't Maxis to Maxis...look at the rates page. There's no asterisk beside the 333 minutes of local calls...only stuff with an asterisk is for Maxis to Maxis, like the SMS and MMS.

i know i cant believe them but its sort of our only source to find out more info other than in LYN..

Even if it's FREE, it always have a LIMIT. I am not sure lah. Coz, recently I registered for a supp line and they did informed me free calls around 20hrs or so... then again .. it is better you have some clarifications from them.

Just to share, based on my existing Value Plan 50:

Based on my RM50 per month, I only used up RM20+ , which is inclusive of:
(i) Domestic Local calls to 012/016/019/03 (as in my itemised billing)
(ii) Domestic Data (SMS to 012 and other local operators, e.g. 016)
(iii) International Call (Call from 012 in MY to overseas)
(iv) International Data (SMS from MY to international)
(v) Roaming calls (Call from overseas to MY/overseas number)
(vi) Roaming data (SMS while roaming to MY)



Therefore, I'm not sure if it is the same with the iValue1, 2, 3, 4 plans for the iPhone 4 package ?

dont be so clueless, if 1GB is not enough one can always opt from ivalue 2,3,4 or idata 2 there is no need to have an ivalue plan which comes inclusive with data along with another data plan which doenst make sense really, im rectifying your assumption that may lead others confused. Read up on the ivalue plans as it seems you are blur bout value plans and ivalue plans.

i have booked on 12am - 4am slots , and plan to go around 3am , but worrying the stock is not enough to cater for the pre booking

don't bother with the bumper case. Look up the drop tests and they provide no protection against drops. Your phone can shatter if dropped.

for yr info.. u do can rsvp 2 sets.. i oso did the same thing but of course not exceeding 2 sets.. *i booked 1 ivalue 1 and 1 normal set!

Value Plus Family the call rates is enjoy the same call rates as principal line if the principal line is above VP80 plan.
But if you change your principal line from VP80 plan to any iValue plan, the call rate would be different, from RM0.12/Sen revert back to RM0.15/sen.
And also can't share the talk time between principal line and supplementary line.

Now even I take iValue1, I'm also not able to use up to 333mins, because I really less calling.
But if VP80, the talk time can share out to supplementary line, so the talk time not wasted.

So the benefit that i lost is :
1) Share talk time
2) Call rate back to Family Plus RM0.15/sen to Maxis, RM0.20/sen to other.

The call rate is important for me, as my parents register under my name, and they called a lot due to their business.

I went to Maxis Center today and changed from prepaid to postpaid today to retain my Hotlink number. And now all of the sudden my details are in the registration of interest list and I managed to RSVP for the launch. Now's the time to do it guys.

I just asked a Maxis employee at Pavilion in regarding whether the owner of the line needs to be present or can we act on their behalf with authorization letter and she said that:

1. you can't use the authorization letter and copy IC of owner without the owner being there.
2. I called up CS beforehand and 'Selvan' told me that you can get the authorization letter and copy IC certified at a Maxis centre before going to the launch. This was debunked by the Maxis employee at Pavilion. The chances of the people at the launch not recognizing it is high.
3. Maxis Pavilion employee said you either do ownership transfer BEFORE the launch or bring the owner along.

both the plans and the device are subject to T&C and availability.

I most likely just do the ownership transfer to avoid trouble at the launch. No offense but due to craziness of the situation (there are gonna be at least 700 ppl there!) and depending on the staff (part timers and full timers' info varies in my opinion), I don't think hearing the words "we can't accept this blah blah" will help when i plan on queuing!

I think you most probably can change. They just want you to pick in the RVSP I suppose. As long as you have a confirmation letter and owns the number or register a new number, they are most likely happy to oblige. That's my POV.

Once we have booked the iPhone 4 and got the confirmation email,we will get it on that day right or it is subject to availability?

At the end, it's still depends on the CS who will serve you on that day.

Ok just an update hopefully not posted before because i lost track of the post so many people.

I emailed maxis and they called me to clarify few things. Firstly I asked about the warranty, lets say a person subscribes for the plan and then sells the Iphone away. The new owner can claim warranty without needing the previous owner whatsoever as usual T&C applies. Another thing is for postpaid users they actually can buy the Iphone 4 outright like now without a plan which is not stated in the website. For prepaid users, have to wait next month or so again no specific date to be able to buy outright.

YES.this stuff makes me felt like no confidence on maxis rsvp system.

i called CS earlier today and they said those who RSVP and got confirmation ID via email+sms would definitely being reserved the unit

hopefully he was telling the truth!

Customers always right BUT... can you suffer from your hunger of not having iPhone 4 while looking at this poisoning thread?

Once you change ownership from your aunt's name to yours, I assume you don't need her authorization as the mobile number will be under your name. To make sure they don't go blah blah, you should bring a photocopy of the receipt to prove you are the owner of the mobile number, confirmation ID, your IC and $$$. I guess they will give you some sort of document when you do ownership transfer. To be on the safe side, make sure you photocopy that document in case they want to take it and you won't have a copy for yourself. Another note is that one of the CS told me it takes 1 day for their system to register so better bring hard copy so no arguments!
Maybe I should photocopy my IC to speed up the sign up process!

I also got the same reply about the free 333 calls and free 200 sms - basically 2 CS said that as long as there's free something, its only maxis to maxis. I don't know why the website and the CS tell diff stories but just stating what I am told.

It would be irresponsible and downright ludicrous if Maxis neglects to provide MicroSIMs outright when you purchase the ip4.

this is actually explained on website.
If your fren signs up for iValue 1 now, iValue 1 will only activate as soon as his RM98 contract (value 50+500mb) ends.
Means now he pays RM98, after this contract period ends, he pays RM100, which is the ivalue plan 1.

To know more about ivalue 1 just click on the link in first page. It gives free 333 min of call, 1GB of data, 200 SMS.

as for the 333 mins etc, it's for any local networks, not only maxis-to-maxis. i think it has been like this since 3g was launched, wasn't it? the SMS n MMS is between maxis only.
