@boxsystem

yes.. ivalue is more worthy perhaps IF.. they state their definition of "LOCAL" calls.. haha..

oh right, in the first place i wanted idata2, because.. i want to aim that my phone bill is RM100 every month..

but if local calls means maxis to maxis.. then definitely whenever i make a single call that is external, it will increase my bill already..
*
Huh??? Local calls aren't Maxis to Maxis...look at the rates page. There's no asterisk beside the 333 minutes of local calls...only stuff with an asterisk is for Maxis to Maxis, like the SMS and MMS.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but regarding the free 1GB data right (for iValue 1 for example), for a first time subscriber, is there any activation required? Like do we need to wait for it to be activated? Or can we use it straightaway after walking out of the store?

This is based on when they can finish doing it in the system. Usually they will do manually to clear the crowd first than later on key it in to the system.It depends on the consultant to be exact or best is 24hours just to be safe

Thanks so much for the explanation!! biggrin.gif

OMG just got back from Queensbay Penang not too long ago, reached at 10.30am, walked out after around 5 hours. After waiting two hours, they weren't sure if they had enough stock, and filling in paperwork at the front was stopped. Then they only decided to give us numbers =_="

The way they managed it was kinda poor IMHO. There were ppl who kept asking and asking and asking about plans and stuff (could't decide between 16gb or 32gb), therefore clogging up and slowing down the line. And the shop isn't exactly big, it's tiny. And their stock was also limited...I think it has already sold out by now. Luckily I managed to get my hands on a 32GB set! Wanted 16GB but it just sold out when it was my turn.

They're selling it outright today...so that's why there were more people I guess who turned up. Processing took ages according to one of the staff cos some wanted to change this and that..

The staff said there will be a 2/3 week wait for the new stock. Oh, and Switch hasn't received any stock yet. Guess the priority now is to Maxis centers...

Oh you should've gone to the Maxis Centre - Bayan Baru Branch....they're well organised! It took me around 15 mins, from taking a number rite up to going out the door with my ip4 running iValue1.

Whoaaa that's fast!! I don't have a car unfortunately, I only know how to take the bus to Queensbay and I have no idea where Bayan Point is >.< though I have a feeling it's close to the Queensbay area. I heard from the staff that people started queuing up at QB Maxis around 9stg di...

Luckily I didn't go to Switch and went straight to Maxis, or else I wouldn't even manage to get a set. How's the stock over at Bayan Baru when you were there?

The staffs there told me they only have 50 units 16Gb and 30 units 32Gb....by 9am, the queue was around 20 pax....

I guess by now its all gone d the phones like bro lck mentioned.

@lck

The staff at Bayan Point (same row as Daorae Korean Restaurant) told me, they replenish their stock very fast, like morning they order evening they can get. So you should leave your name n contact with them n they should call u in few days time (hopefully) when stocks arrives. Good Luck!
