QUOTE(Rayman.S @ Sep 23 2010, 09:04 AM)
Guys you think it is worth taking the 24 month contract? at first I was opt for 12 month contract since the discount is not that great but later I read on maxis page stating that for 24 month contract they will extend the Iphone warranty as well.

I never use Iphone before therefore could not predict how reliable this device is or how much is the cost for the repair and maintainable.

Therefore the 24 month warranty is quite tempting.
*
24-months sounds good, but my question is, what happens next year when the new iPhone comes out? Are they going to extend your contract for another 12/24 months? You'll be pretty much tied to Maxis for life then. shakehead.gif

doesnt the phone needs to be charge for x hours before using? If one were to cut their sim and do not have an adapter, you will be stuck with no communication until the phone is fully charged.
*
The iPhone doesn't have to be charged for x hours simply because it uses a lithium-ion battery. These work differently from the standard old Nokia and Sony Ericsson batteries.

Go in as early as possible if you hate waiting. The numbers move very slowly.

Btw, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but Maxis does offer trade-in for any phone. There's even a booth and everything. If u guys need me to ask them some questions, let me know.

Also, accessories are available. They even help u put the screen protector on. tongue.gif

Has anyone tried to extend their contract? Something seemed to have happened to my previous 12-month contract. It vanished. yawn.gif

plan to extend it..my slot is tml 10am..

lol..what do u mean by it vanished? O.o
*
I was talking to the guy at the counter, and he said that my previous contract didn't even exist. I don't know if they are just too lazy to add another 12 months into my previous contract or what, but he gave me a brand new 12-month contract. I asked him 4 times if it was a brand new contract and he said yes.

I was expecting to be bound for about nearly 2 years, but I guess now I'm just bound for a year. thumbup.gif

If it's 10 AM, try to go at around 9 AM. Latest by 9:30. Get one of the earliest numbers so that you won't have to wait so long.

7 AM a little too early, no? tongue.gif

I doubt they'd ask her to leave, but just follow her to be safe. Is she a current Maxis subscriber?

Just talk to them nicely lah. tongue.gif I think that as long as you have 2 booking slips, you can make it work -- especially if that other person is in your own family.

But try talking to one of the customer representatives first, just to be safe. wink.gif

Question.

Do they provide 0% installment plans for an outright purchase of the iPhone?

I didn't do any pre-order and i wish to purchase iphone 4 via maxis plan either today or tomorrow.
Anybody can tell is this possible and how i can get it?
P/S: i am an existing maxis user.
*
I don't think so, as they will ask for your confirmation ID and slip before letting you purchase the phone.

Maxis has said in advance that this event is only open to existing subscribers who've registered their interest. But you can surely try. Just let us know the outcome. wink.gif
