Anyone tried the Taobao Global Direct Shipping service here - what was your experience like?

My items are currently stuck in the warehouse and I don't know why!

i places my order on last saturday night.as of yesterday, all the items reach the warehouse n i contacted the shipping company n they said will push the operation staff to delivery it soon.

btw this is the first time i use this taobao global direct shipping services also... hopefully everything is OK.

Expect chaos because its their first operation. I also experience some delay this time around because a stupid seller key in the wrong tracking id which result in untrackable. I had to contact the courier to ammend the info.

Normally it would take 7-10days for it to reach here once you consolidate the goods and paid the shipping. It could take longer if they are doing some promo stuffs or whenever China has lengthy holidays.

I've tried the global direct shipping two weeks ago, quite Okay no problem.

Placed the order and the item shipped from seller after like 2-3 hours, next day the item arrived at the warehouse and then took 3 days to shipped out from China.

After three days I checked the status on the taobao app it said my parcel still at the China custom but when I check it on SKYNET, it already arrived at Malaysia but couldn't deliver to me because of bad address. So I got my parcel at day 9.

Now I'm trying its consolidate and ship service, I think the shipping fee is slightly higher than any taobao agent offer...

I usually control the shipments myself from A-Z but I find it a hassle as I have to track my parcel to warehouse, before asking them to send them to me. So I was immediately happy when I saw the direct shipping option. However, my unadventurous self decided to wait for feedbacks from people who use the service. Does that mean you guys paid using Maybank2u or CIMB clicks?

I use 4px for shipping from china..so far no issue..within 1 week can get my item.

Guys how about sensitive items?How do they classics which items are sensitive/special? Are fans included as special item?Glass made product?

I use both 4px (consolidate) and also direct shipping. To me direct shipping slower, they sit in the warehouse for 2-3 days dunno why then ship. Consolidate as soon as you pay, the next working day it straight go to customs. Sometimes within the same day!

Purchased from Taobao few times, my Chinese sucks so I use only 65daigou as agent. https://www.65daigou.com/

All I need is to copy TB link into 65Daigou then work it out from there. Happy with them so far, they will check the goods and repack them nicely.

IINM, cost over RM300 (include postage) are GST-able, it depends on your luck if kastam manage to find out and hold your items. As for tax, I not too sure, may be SIRIM fees like importing phone?

Hi, I wonder if the default "direct ship" (直运) option in taobao is using SKYNET too (I bought only from 1 vendor, and hence using the 直运 of which the vendor ship directly to warehouse and no further reconsolidate)?

Also, which should be the tracking number for local courier? The one for my purchases or the 中通直运 which cost 33.5RMB?

my item juz shipped from warehouse last wednesday,
then they provide me tracking number
so monday i try track tarak info, tuesday track pun tarak, try contact them in aliwangwang no reply me/offline most of the time

then yesterday see them online 55 ask them , they say my tracking number only can track when item reach malaysia, and previously was shipped out from hk which cant be tracked.

so midnight i track again, my item in malaysia jor,
this morning track again, item out for delivery.

lol. u nearly scare me to death, i order something last wednesday through the direct shipping, need to get it by end of this month. so far the item arrived at the warehouse in china yesterday (3-4 days), not sure when will they ship out to malaysia.

after the update the tracking become pickup by courier, then u know its shipped la mostly.

Use consolidate and shipping is way way better. 20 days free warehouse keeping.

Bro, use the 4px is it cheaper than taobao direct shipping? Cause I agak agak calculate the weight of the item with the 4PX rate, looks more expensive than the taobao direct shipping.

Also when we check out the 4px delivery charges never indicate any price, so when only they will let me know the price of 4PX rate and how we pay before they ship?

Usually it will be more expensive.

The 4px option as per the website given they charge per kg. It is cheaper and definitely better if you bought more than 1 item.

Iirc first kg 25rmb. The warehouse service is very helpful


They have 4 companies for you to choose. 4px is one of them. It is cheaper and better because it is offered by taobao themselves

It is cool to see malaysia singapore is together with hk and macau for this service.

If you are in other countries you have to rely on other more expensive options Or through agent.

Hey bro, I asked the sellers in taobao, seems like they dono about the 淘宝直运 and they insist they only do inland business no shipping to overseas.

Ok. Now i fully understand about 淘宝直运

1. You put everything you want to buy in your shopping cart. Select 直运(option1) They will direct put everything together and ship to you in 1 go.click and wait for it to arrive malaysia.

2. If you use 淘宝集运(option2)。you need to manage all your items. Track the delivery and wait for them to go into warehouse 1 by 1. And then you decide to ship to you.

3. Difference? The 1st option is slightly expensive. But you dont need to worry about your good delivery . Click and wait for it to arrive in malaysia. Downside? You need to buy everything in 1 go in your ahopping cart.

2nd option allows you to do your shopping in more than 1 week ( first 20 days warehouse charge free. You can buy item 1 on day 1, buy item 2 on day 5. And when both item arrives on day 10. You still have 10 days to do some shipping before you need to pay for warehouse fee for item one) option 2 cheaper.

Those 直运 And 集运are transparent to seller.

Option 1 system will provide seller an adress to ship.

Option 2 system will provide YOU an address to give to seller ( like your personal po box in china and you use that address to buy whatever you want and ship there)

I think I willl pick option 1 not so much hassle, but seems like the seller gets turn off when i say i want to ship to malaysia and straight tell me we only do china business haha.

You just select option 1 and then pay. The seller will get the address from system and taobao will handle it.

thought I will get my air purifier from taobao within 2 weeks. Puchased the air purifier on 5 Oct and sent out on 6 Oct. Courier service update till 8 Oct and no more update till today. Aldy 2 weeks.

ask the seller said the item aldy received. I not sure it's received by other or warehouse. Status just show transaction complete. I dunno what I can do now, just write a inquiry to the support and see what they reply me.

maybe your stuff too big send by ship. ship will take longer to reach port compare to plane...

My Item not yet arrive due to seller got mistake on update the invoice no. Warehouse there showing not received even after received 2 weeks aldy. Now update new invoice number with warehouse by myself. Pls take note that, most of the seller don't know how to deal to warehouse, I chat with Taobao customer service also useless, they just keep asking u to use the refund function, never try to find out what happen!!! Thought the Taobao Direct shipping is responsibility of taobao, but not, just name only taobao, they use other logistic company, and they dun foolow up for u, pls take note, u need to follow up everything by urself if problem occurred.

Now showing warehouse aldy received and ready for transport, warehouse aldy received for 1 week aldy. my "neck very long' aldy. By the times, my air purifier arrived to me, no more haze. So just can prepared for next year use lo.......

If you using the direct shipping service, try to track your parcel on the skynet, if no result on the skynet mean your parcel probably still stuck in the China custom or got delayed


As far as I know, They don't ship any prohibited items like food and electronics, you can either ask the seller to remove the battery from the Electronics you want to buy (if it removable) or use Taobao agent.

I am using direct ship. However, I can track my shipment, i usually wait like 5-6 days then they arrive =.=

I checked their charges for direct shipping and it's only 32 yuan for Skynet? 5 yuan on 11/11 seems nice
What about item with large volume, like toys with huge boxes? Still got additional charges?
I'm asking since I did kaw2 kene extra shipping cost when the boxes were bigger than I expected (using taobao agent)

before u buy please ask seller how big is the packaging. cause the direct ship they have restriction cant send item too big...

So if still within 120cm for each side, you're still only charged 32 yuan then? That's definitely a much lower shipping cost than taobao agent charges

For example (40cm x 40cm x 40cm / 6000) = 10kg
And normally they'll charge rm10-13/kg depending on seller of course.

nono... 32 yuan is the minimum shipping cost.... you buy like a shirt or powerbank is 32 yuan, when the item gets bigger, the shipping cost will go up. I do not have a formula on how they calculate the shipping cost. But it seems like they are cheaper than agent.

Like the agents always charge us sensitive item, they do not impose any fees on sensitive item. Anyway I think agents charge us sensitive item is to pay custom for smoother transition. Whereas taobao dont charge for sensitive item, maybe your % of going through custom is lower hahaa.

No, quote when you check out, so dont have to do 2 times payment.

Rejected is very troublesome the parcel will go back to seller, and you have to rearrange and ur money is not refundable.

Need you guys help.

On Nov 11, I ordered 5 pieces of framed arts from Taobao. I chose 4px as my parcel forwarder. That was my first time i ordered from Taobao. I didn't aware until 2 days ago that 4Px changed the rule on Oct 10, using volume metric weight and actual weight, whichever one is higher, to calculate the actual weight of the parcel .

I've 2 parcels (already shipped by seller but yet to reach the warehouse) and each parcel dimension is 93(cm) x 73(cm) x 17(cm). I believe each parcel actual weight is less than 5kg. If using volume metric weight calculation, the weight of each parcel is approx 93x73x19/6000 = 22kg !!! Total weight of 2 parcels is 44kg. I tried to ask the seller to reduce the dimension but they said can't do it because the items are fragile. The total cost of my framed arts is only RM520. Based on my own calculation, i need to top up another RM820 (at least) for the shipment . I'm insane if i proceed to ask 4px to deliver. Is there any alternative solution ?

I've a few items i'm still trying to buy from Taobao but I'm not sure whether the weight of the new items can be counted as part of the 22kg/parcel (volume metric weight) or have to treat the new items separately ? I'm still trying to figure out way to utilise my shipment fee. I can't find any information on the web. Hassle to communicate with Taobao/4Px as i need to use google translate everytime.

If no solution, probably i will default my items, let my items stay in the warehouse beyond 90 days and get dispose by 4px. Probably this will be my last time i shop Taobao

Does that mean it has been sent back to the seller? What do you mean by rearrange?

contact ur seller, ask them redirect to your forwarding agent.

now you have no choice but to use forwarding agent, get a new address from your forwarding agent and give to seller ask them send there.

so you have to pay extra shipping fees to forwarding agent. and you cant get back your fee ffrom 中通集运

bought 2 items from TB on 11.11..latest status is that my item reached the forwarding warehouse today morning...hope everything goes well

I want to inform everyone on my latest status, luckilly seller havent ship item so i was able to ask for refund. As for global direct shipping refund, there is a another tab that you can click and ask for refund.

so i total, according to the system, i was refunded the items i bought and i was also refunded the RMB 275+RMB275 for shipping.

Global direct shipping fee can refund. I just got mine recently.

How do I track the item locally? I've heard that some people have problem with their addresses and such.

I mean, wtf? so fast? i was expecting it arrive like friday, not monday.

anyhow, still waiting for the delivery, hope is true update cause there are sensitive item like knife and batteries inside...

Edit: Item arrived that's my fastest record, make shipping payment on friday night, arrive at tuesday noon.

same problem here, stuck at warehouse since 22 nov.. 1st time order with combine shipping, i think buy item from same seller with single shipping is faster....

first time using global direct it took 3 weeks to arrive. this was on their launch day offer
2nd time during 11.11 sales. got it in 1 week time
they improved

I had been using AskMeBuy for 2 years. Very much self manage the buying through their website. Status always up to date, they even take photo of your packages. Repack free.
Reliable, so far have not lost anything or being taxed. They do have special shipping where they will include the tax, but you have to pay a higher shipping fee.

On 19 November the items detail says that the items have been sent out from warehouse, and didn't see any newer updates afterward.
