After a discussion and research between Aquaphor and 3M , my wife and I decided to go for Aquaphor brand because cheaper and replacement cartridge also cheaper , so far so good and the taste of the water is also ok cause some of the drinking filter i drank have some weird taste.

Thanks I believe most members who read through the threads and google on the information, most will get Aquaphor. anyone here using the Rubine outdoor filter? Currently thinking to get a membrane outdoor filter. Not sure which brand to get. I only know of Nesh, puregen and Rubine. Appreciate if anyone can give me some suggestion

We wouldnt recommend membrane filter but if you are looking for Rubine i can order it for you.

Here is something interesting. We have been talking about the spec of water filters, carbon block and etc but how often we get to see what is really inside the filters and how they look like?

Well, a customer asked what is the difference between his regular Carbon Block and Aquaphor's CarbFibre Block, so we cut it out to compare ...

From comparison, we notice that
1) Aquaphor's carbon block seems to be more solid (compressed)

2) Though the diameter looks the same but Aquaphor's one is thicker 1.9cm vs 1.6cm.

3) Aquaphor has Aqualen and Silver to absorb heavy metals and kill bacteria (notice the silver dots?)

I think you are misleading. NSF is not just for "USA". There is a more fundamental difference, LGA is not water expert nor safety standard, it is just government body, in wellfare, tourism, transport....etc etc...

Take a view on their website and what they do, everyone should know that they are not fit to certify a water filter.


Your statement of making the analogy that CPA vs ACCA = LGA vs NSF is very misleading, saying that as long as it is certified by LGA, it is as good as being certified by NSF. But what experty does LGA has to certify? Where is the test report? What facilities they have to perform the certification?


Diamond and Nesh often include statement that their units are certified by exhibition organizations, misleading people that their products are okay, again what kind of experty does the exhibition organization have to do the certification? This had mislead so many people to buy into their filters


Another statement made by you that you said some part of Aquaphor is certified by NSF, not the whole unit.....some part? which part? why not found on their website?

I really urge others to do proper study, and LGA is no where close to fit to give "certification" out....pls be a conscience consumer, demand for proof, demand for test report.

- Main HQ is in USA (not UK!!)
- The contaminants mentioned in Aquaphor website is longer, but the test report just TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), which RO filter is examined on.
- Bacteria not in the list....
- Viruses not in the list (how to handle virus without UV?)

First of all, d_goh already said this before regarding NSF is not just for USA and i already replied saying that it is true NSF does not only apply for USA but Aquaphor Crystal ECO is mainly targeted for European markets and Europeans do recognize LGA while Aquaphor MORION is mainly targeted for USA market, hence they apply for NSF.

I never mentioned that LGA is as good or better than NSF, is just that when you have LGA which is an European Standards, it shows that the AQUAPHOR water is safe to consume. I never said that CPA is better than ACCA or ACCA is better but when you have either one of these cert it shows that you have certain skills or abilities to handle the job of an accountant.
Most information on Aquaphor are in Russian and that is why we cant find them in google but i did email Aquaphor to get the information and here is one of the certification. I think u went to the wrong LGA website or you got the wrong info. THe link that i was given from Aquaphor is as below

Well i dont sell RO system in Malaysia as most Malaysians do not like it as it is too CLEAN thatz why i never mention about the details about it. However, if you would like to know i can explain them as well.

1) Aquaphor is manufactured in Russia as pointed out by me and also other members in the first thread, never mentioned UK but Europe.

2) Aquaphor was founded in St. Petersburg in 1992 (RUSSIA)

3) Aquaphor RO system DWM101 also known as Morion is certified by NSF 58 (Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Treatment Systems)
If it is certified that it is a RO SYSTEM that means it is a RO Filter. I believe most members will know RO system means filtering everything including minerals and etc that is why it is known as DEAD Water as well.

Well, this is a discussion thread, open for discussions but if it is a serious buyer who wants to know more, wont they just PM or ask politely rather bombarding facts that are incorrect. If you guys do follow my replies, usually i will have citation for my facts (links or photos), i dont simply say things. For members who came to my shop before will definitely know i am a serious seller and not a regular salesman as this is my own business. I dont sell a product just to make profit, i use them as well. I wouldnt want to put my family's health at risk if Aquaphor is a harmful product. All that i have claimed so far is that the water is safe to consume and it is certified by European Food Regulation as shown in the previous reply. I never claim it to be a miracle water like alkaline, diamond or NESH, just saying it is a good, clean water, i never claim Crystal ECO has NSF, i openly replied and posted it does not have NSF only LGA and TUV. After all, i believe what we need is just to drink more clean healthy water to keep healthy. I tried many types of water filters before and all of them do not work like how they claim to be. As mentioned, i have minor eczema that is why i tried alkaline and also some of the so called miracle water but none of them improve my condition yet had some minor side effect for my other family members. We have been drinking Aquaphor water for many months and so far so GOOD, no known issues and we are drinking more water as it is so convenient, we dont need to boil or get bottle water.

Well just also from my understanding and online research. All the so called mineral stone or life stone and etc how effective are they? With so many cartridges and such little amount in every little cartridge, i doubt it has any benefit to us.

If the media in the cartridge is too little, it might not be off any benefit. For Example, Orange contains Vitamin C and Vitamin C could lighten our skin. However, by consuming one orange alone could not make our skin lighter, the dosage of Vitamin C in orange (60-70mg) is just too little to have any effect as the dosage require is (1,000 – 3,000 mgs). That is why brands like Aquaphor, 3M and Amway emphasize on selected media (carbon block) rather than giving many different medias with very little quantity.

Just wondering wouldn't it be more cost effective to get a mini kettle like those in the hotels or even better a SEERS Thermos flasks? Water Dispenser requires maintenance and high electricity consumption, big and bulky as well due to big storage tank. Unless you use a lot of hot water daily, otherwise a mini kettle or Flasks would be a more economical choice, boil what you need and when you need

Bro,

Does this setup means you will need to drill into the counter top? Or simply connect it into the current existing tap?

Because my current tap is square rather than round, so I found some of the filters cannot fit into it.

Avoid the SEERS 3 minutes thermos flasks. The so called Nano tech heating glass tube can not last. Mine broken (the glass tube broken) 3 times with my 2 replacement units. When the last unit broken, I never bother already.
It was made in China (¥1xx.00) but claimed Malaysia tech.

May be you can PM me some of the photos or text me your contact number

Anyway, I think there's a clear winner in water filtration... by none other than Xiaomi.





RM7xx after conversion. First filter change 3~6 months, RM36, 2nd filter change 6~12 months RM43, RO filter 18~24 months RM310, 4th filter 6~12 months RM43 as well.

Worst case scenario running cost, assume 18 months total cost for all filters is RM784..diao just buy a new unit and throw old one out the window.

Best case scenario running cost, assuming 24 months total cost for all filters is
RM626, which is RM313 per year.

Of course, the filter change depends on amount of water filtered. With the app to monitor..you would know in real time!

Amazing. Xiaomi is disrupting water filter now. With their mass manufacturing capability, it brings the overall costs down. And they use best in class materials.

Actually Aquaphor do sell RO water purifier as well and i will be importing one unit next month to be installed in my house since my 3M DWS2500 is gonna expire. Aquaphor solve the two disadvantages of RO filter by having re-mineralization filter. For those who are interested can PM me but at the mean time i plan to install and test it first before selling it.

As a Xiaomi products supporter, this one are definately a "No" for consumer/residential use. But it still better than some people using dirty or un-filter water or office use. Also better alternative for those who looking for *cough* Korean Brand.

Re-mineralization cartridges don't work. Only raises the pH of water but not "minerals".

As for the RO water not having any minerals, it is absolutely true. But at the same time the water is pure H2O. It doesn't have any contaminants either. No chlorine, no fluoride.

If you don't brush your teeth and rely on the fluoride in the water to protect them then RO is very bad. Likewise if you don't have a balanced diet and get minerals from food, RO water is very bad as well.

Frankly it is a matter of choice and your lifestyle.

Food for thought. The military uses RO technology. So personnel posted on duty on submarines, carriers, base camps all consume RO water for extended periods. Like wise for off shore oil rigs.

Flow rate as per website is 2.5L per minute. Flow rate depends on your incoming water pressure. We have one unit installed in our showroom, though our pressure is not strong, the flow rate is still OK for Aquaphor Crystal Eco. DO drop by our showroom to test the product

can anyone point me to a single filter system with hollow fibres (no need to have active carbon but also can) that i can install undermount for one outlet inside the cold water cycle (under pressure system). i have prefilter & 2 carbon for whole house present. just want a hollow fibre filter for the kitchen's cold water. easy click prefered but not required as got stop cock before the filter. i looked but cant find any like the panasonic on top filter (red one).

Sorry, typo and edited. Thanks for pointing it out. Currency has dropped a lot, when i first imported Aquaphor, exchange rate was only 1 Euro = RM 3.9, now it is 1 Euro = RM 4.55. 16% increased... we have no choice but to increase the price (as of 1st August it was 1 Euro = RM 4.2). However, we did not increase the price for replacement cartridges as the price quoted previously was a normal price but the selling price for brand new unit Aquaphor Crystal Eco is at a promotion low price, til now it is still promotion price, much cheaper compared to Singapore


Prices for 3M water filters will increase soon, for those who need to buy the replacement cartridges do get it quick as stock is very limited now.
