can anyone point me to a single filter system with hollow fibres (no need to have active carbon but also can) that i can install undermount for one outlet inside the cold water cycle (under pressure system). i have prefilter & 2 carbon for whole house present. just want a hollow fibre filter for the kitchen's cold water. easy click prefered but not required as got stop cock before the filter. i looked but cant find any like the panasonic on top filter (red one).

zheilwane,

one quick question - i want to install the filter directly in between my cold water supply. i cant see the connectors from the pictures. can i join this with standard 1/2" connectors or how? will try to visit your shop this weekend for the filter. this seems to be what i want to install smile.gif

Not much spec online but it is written with Granular Carbon and Hollow Fibre only.  From my experience, the size is small and it has to fit several media inside, it could get clog fast (change cartridge 4 months - 5 months) and it is using Granular Carbon not even carbon block, with such little amount of carbon will it be really sufficient to remove all the heavy metal?

Example, 3M first came out with a single carbon block AP Easy Complete but later invested DWS1000 which has two cartridges of carbon block same quality as AP Easy complete. So, why get more carbon block ? If check NSF listing, DWS1000 can filter more contaminants compared to Easy Complete even they are using the same carbon block quality jus double the amount.

Sometimes the info on the product catalog is not sufficient and cannot trust 100%, need to do a little reading online or ask friend who are using filters for feedback.

I could sell an Aquaphor Single Cartridge System with 0.1 micron hollow fibre with CARBON fibre block (much better compared to granular carbon) less than RM 800 but i dont recommend to do so as it could get clogged fast unless u have other prefilters. Best to get a good filter for you and your family.

i replaced the panasonic you are asking about (which is good and sufficient IF you have prefilters: my case: one sediment filter + two additional carbon block filters). its just annoying cause of the wiggly connections.

bought the Aquaphor Single Cartridge System with 0.1 micron hollow fibre with CARBON fibre block from zheilwane. result: water is a noticably better and absolutely no issues with the filtration performance. if you have the additional money over the panasonic you'll get better results from the aquphor filter.

Hope nobody minds. I changed the Panasonic to Aquaphor because i wanted an undermount sink. Turns out I have extra catridges for the Panasonic Filter. If anyone needs it I can offer one or two units with discount:

Replacement Water Cartridge For PANASONIC Water Purifier PJ-37MRF

New, unused, in orginal package and still sealed.

Price at Panasonic or Rakuten: RM 219 (see: https://direct.panasonic.com.my/Products.aspx/Details/1127)

2 units available.

My price: Just RM 175 for one unit or RM 330 for both ONO. PM me if interested.

I hope this serves its purpose better here than in the garage sales wink.gif

i saw this panasonic few hundred bucks only

http://www.panasonic.com/my/consumer/kitch...r/pj-37mrf.html

also filter to 0.1 micron with 5000 litres capacity.

Is this good enough, any reviews?

i used this for many years until wife decided she wanted undermount filter. this filter is good and you can drink straight from it. if got prefilter you can use one cartdrige for a year.

if you decide in getting it, let me know. we found two new & sealed replacement cartridges when cleaning up. will give to you with a big discount smile.gif

for the tiny stuff easiest and cheapest is a sediment filter (can attach a carbon block in a second housing behind for better water quality if you like). Get something like this. Can DIY connect, standard filter goes inside.

Initial investment 20-50 RM with parts to connect and 20 minutes of your time. Replacement of filter as per your liking, a filter pack can be as little as 10 bucks for 3.
