Actually lowyat forums has provided all the info already in the outdoor and also indoor discussion thread, jus need to read all of them. If you do not have the time to read, based on my experience

For outdoor
1) Landed - Perfect Steel Sand filter with backwash
2) Condo - 3M AP902 without backwash

For indoor
1) Direct Drinking - Aquaphor Crystal Eco
2) Boiling - Aquaphor Crystal Solo

For landed outdoor, any reliable brand, but not costly?

For landed double storey, any good recommendations for both indoor or outdoor water purifier, tight budget, below RM1k each.

Panansonic PJ-37MRF Water Purifier This seems okay and cheap, and can filter out 99.99% (not sure if this can remove those heavy metal as well). Your kind advise is very much appreciated.

How about outdoor?

i replaced the panasonic you are asking about (which is good and sufficient IF you have prefilters: my case: one sediment filter + two additional carbon block filters). its just annoying cause of the wiggly connections.

bought the Aquaphor Single Cartridge System with 0.1 micron hollow fibre with CARBON fibre block from zheilwane. result: water is a noticably better and absolutely no issues with the filtration performance. if you have the additional money over the panasonic you'll get better results from the aquphor filter.

If you have more budget, definitely getting something better like aquaphor would b better for you and your family. Well, many people nowadays could afford getting a smart phone for RM 2 - 3k and handbags for RM 2 - 5k, the RM 1.5k aquaphor filter for whole family is consider kinda cheap smile.gif

Just moved to a new place recently n been selecting drinking water filter
Pondering between
1)eSpring
2)Culligan
3)Aquaphor

After much reading and consideration, moved on with Aquaphor Crystal Eco

Consideration Factors :
1. Certification (digged out the LGA certificate, the test lab credibility, the test sample and filter model stated on test report,  the test tested against Malaysia water supply and the filtered parameters details) Thanks bro Zheilwane for the patience to share with me  blush.gif

2. The concept of pre-filtration before main, so no clogging in the main filter. The patented Aqualen technology, bacteria, voc filtration with silver...  Etc.

http://www.aquaphor-water.eu/english/Company/history.htm

3. I choose the under sink setup, it's a Super DIY design,  i got it all setup in <15mins (u need to prep a hole on ur table top for the faucet readily though, unless u choose the table top setup)

4. Filter priced at Rm1699, RM450 filter replacement annually, there's no need of extra charges in electricity (UV or some display electronics), NO shipment n service charge, replacement filter service charge whatsoever,  totally DIY

5. Drink direct with a really good quality faucet given foc (Seriously I was impressed with the faucet, it is really solid)

6. Water is totally, clean, odourless, tasteless n clear (done a comparison with 2 glasses of water from Aquaphor CE n direct from pipe, u can straight away see an obvious difference)

And no, i m not on commission to review on this hahahha
Just sharing smile.gif
