Malaysia drinking water quality conformed to WHO guidelines. Chlorine is added to disinfect the bacteria in the water already. The only thing we can't guarantee is the last mile contamination. But as long as chlorine remain in the water from the water treatment to our kitchen sink tap, the water is safe for consumption. If still paranoid about the bacteria, i would suggest adding UV filter such as this:
6w-12w:家用直饮机纯水机净水机过流式uv紫外线杀菌消毒过滤器
http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?ut_sk=1.U...&id=16475429018Can buy from Taobao in less than RM100 including international shipping.
Now you can have the cheapest certified NSF standard 42 & 53 and uncertified NSF standard 55 (for UV) POU water filter

Poor man version of Amway eSpring
Zheilwane, bring in some UV filters la, combine this UV to your aquaphor, you can compete better with those high end POU with UV.

I'm using this sort of UV lamp right now.
Based my own finding, you need to size the lamp watt with your water flowrate. Example 6w only suitable for around 1liter/min.
For my case, I uses 9Watt since I have higher incoming water pressure and output flowrate from my filters.
I brought it 1/2years ago, it was around rm220 when I got it from Aliexpress.
Lastly you should also estimate how long before you need to change the UV bulb. The bulb loose effectiveness with time and should not switch on/off all the times.
