Aquaphor Crystal Eco has high capacity of 8,000L Litres but you will still need to change once a year to maintain the high water quality.

Nobody has bought this KENT RO SYSTEMS because it is a new brand/supplier? Feature wise it is good and at reasonable price, yearly replacement cartridges cost rm330, biennially replacement RO cartridge is additional rm200.

This thing makes no sense at all. Honestly, looks like they took cheapest China made components and threw everything in one package.

There are so many things that are wrong about this product...

1. only 1 pre inline carbon block filter? Very possible that some chlorine will make it to the membrane and kill it premature.

2. RO membrane by Filmtec. What comes out of it must be purest water, RO can remove more than ANY other filter. Then why UF after it?

3. UV... So water goes through RO, then through UF (for no reason) then UV? WHY? This is like taking Evian water and passing it through UV. You can do it, yes, but what for?

4. If anything, UV AFTER the tank would make sense, but not before. There will be bacteria growth in tank and UV could potentially kill it.

5. TDS Controller... What the hell is that and how does it keep "good minerals" filtered by RO in the water? Is it a bloody TDS meter?

6. Post carbon... again, if it was AFTER the tank I would get it, but before?

Honestly, whoever designed this thing has no idea about water treatment. And believe me, at this price and with all these "features" if they were of good quality, this thing should cost like 5k. This is like a car with 5 wheels, one mounted on the roof and connected to the drivetrain and spinning while you're driving.

Spend the same amount and get a real water filter system instead of this Frankenstein.

P.S. I'm back from my trip and back to this thread smile.gif

Sorry if it's complicated, will try easier. Yes, with carbon you will feel pressure drop. With just sediment, no. Do you need all the pressure you have at home? Most probably not.

The possible combinations of filters are: 1) 5 micron PP + carbon 2) 20 micron PP + 5 micron PP. No point for 2 carbon for POE system.

Please let me know if your pipes are 1" or 3/4", I will find 4.5" by 10" housings for you with Pentek filters (good filters, not made in USA, but very reputable company). With 2.5" by 10" I'm really concerned that pressure drop (flow drop) will be too much even for small condo

Was told that POE should not have carbon so that water in d tank has chlorine to 'protect' it, no?

If you switch the forum view to desktop version, you can see 2 newbies joined at the same time yesterday and 1 newbie just joined this morning. Their first post was about coway. If the posting tone is in favour of coway, then it's obvious that they are coway's ppl.

This is what Mayo clinic says about drinking alkaline water, plain water is better for most people.

I read it as plain water is better for most people BUT the rest might be attracted to these claims even though unproven:

Some say that alkaline water can help prevent disease, such as cancer and heart disease.

Some studies also suggest that alkaline water might help slow bone loss but further investigation is needed to determine if this influences overall bone mineral density and if the benefit is maintained over the long term.
