I plan to get a water filter for my house.

Wanted 1 unit for my kitchen tap, that would suffice.

There is no need to put at the main pipe [the one that comes straight from the meter pipe], as :

[1] I do not intend to filter all water
- a bit redundant, as it'll be stored in the tank for some time.
- it clogs up so fast, as water in my area is not for human use

[2] Scared of theft
- as it is installed outside of the house

[3] Cost-wise, it is expensive to purchase / maintain


Any suggestions on model to procure?
