@zheilwane

Hi. After getting some good reviews and testimonials here, I proceeded to buy the Aquaphor Eco from your shop a few months back. Only recently installed it.

Is there a non-scientific way to confirm if the installation was done properly? ie. I am drinking safe and filtered water? I guess if the tap water is really dirty, I could taste the difference. Other than that?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Thanks in advance.
*
use chlorine test...test water from tap and filter...tap water will become yellow because contained chlorine...the filter water will have no effect and remain clear....then u can confirm ur installation is right or wrong....

Most of the water filters are so expensive cutting throat nowadays  cry.gif  ...Now I get my RO water from the water bottles in super/hypermarket and boiled the water at home and i feel much cheaper.  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  1 box of 1.5liters I use per week and a month it's just cost me max 4 boxes of 1.5liters depending on brands and it's still cheaper than getting a water filter system.  rclxm9.gif

Interesting to see Amway agent caution buyers not to buy eSpring filters which are out of warranty period. Indeed this is a very professional and honest advice from oyching88.
It reminds me of my brother's eSpring. The electronic board spoilt just 1 year after warranty period. The high repair cost just not justifiable to proceed with the repair and my brother didn't repair it and temporary use it without power up (no UV) until the lifespan of the cartridge ends.

IMHO, those electronic smart features, sensor, RFID, LED display are nice to  have but the bottom line is electronic being electronic, it will fail sooner or later. For budget conscious consumers, avoid plug-in water filter with electronic parts at all cost. The electronic smart chip is a pro for eSpring but at the same time,
a con for eSpring too.  Actually, to be more precise, the con is......... repair cost too expensive and no one else but Amway can repair it. Otherwise my brother would have repair it.
*
i doubt the accuracy of the electronic board...my parents home is using espring...the filter just about 7 months...the warning to change filter start...so bring back to the agent and said my parent already use up to 5000 ltr...so i ask detail average how much water use per day...only drinking and cooking on sat and sun...daily use i believe less than 10 liters...so 365 days only 3650 liters...not possible to exceed 5000 liters...some more it just only 7 months....wtf!!!!

a basic carbon block can be used to reduce heavy metal and rust. But for higher % reduction, Aquaphor has invented Aqualen and it is compressed together with the carbon block.

The cartridge is designed to serve the average family’s cooking and drinking water needs for one year or 1320 U.S. gallons (5000 L), whichever comes first. While actual cartridge life will vary with the amount of use (of course as per mention 5000 L) and quality of the water supply. All the while water filtration experiment is using standard quality of water but not pure water, as my house have 7 siblings and total 8 people in house, our cartridge just changed last year August and now the filter still got 3 lights based on the indicators which total is 4 lights, it times to change while it left 1 lights and turn red. Those who lives in a water quality is really bad area, no matter using what type of filter that require filter maintenance sure will need to change more frequent compare to others to ensure the filter function well and also the water quality. This is the fact.

My parent house just 4 adult and 1 baby... just 5 months the warning to change filter come out....no way they can use 5k liter for 5 months... bangwall.gif bangwall.gif ranting.gif

If your place water is in bad condition, where there also dont have POE water filter, your cartridge will be gone, this is the fact, if dont believe can try change to other filter which aso need filter maintenance and you will see the result. See the filter condition of above people post which only used 1 month for the Russia, if it continue to use 1 year then the effectiveness need to consider. If every 5 months need change filter for everyone, eSpring wont still stand there. All about the water condition of the area but not the filter, if the water is bad and the filter still can over 1 year, u need to worry about the effective function of the filter.
*
When using espring 2nd generation can use more than 1 year only can filter for almost 10years. But too bad 2nd gen no more spare part have to upgrade to 3rd gen. since then every 5 or 6 months the warning come out. So u wan to tell me now my area water getting very bad coincidently when im using 3rd gen espring?

So do you think the eSpring really last for 5 months? Please send your eSpring to your agent send back for foc repair, this is the customer benefits. But there is no related to the water filter effectiveness and it function, if all of the eSpring is last only for 5 months then you may sue it, anything also have their defect unit, if amway company check that it is the defect, they will give back a fresh new unit without any sens of charge, this is the customers benefits.
*
we have done that, send back whole unit to amway for checking...print out the usage and show us that we have used up to 5k liter...please pay to get the new filter...we calculate until crack our head still cant figure out how to use up 5k liter for 5-6 months duration...

I was wondering if 5,000 litres of the filter lifespan can be used up within 5 months (150 days) that will end up everyday you use more than 33.33 litres of water.

Assume your house got 10 persons, average per person can use 3.33 litres. Well pretty much make sense what.
As per daily recommended intake for adult is 3 litres of water per days.

how about 4 working adult and 1 baby which is mon to fri 8am to 6pm not at home...drinking office water somemore...still 5 months need to change the filter...wtf bangwall.gif ranting.gif

Hello guys,

i have this undersink, first filter is 1 micron, second is 5 micron CTO. at the faucet there connected to 3M water purifier.

i just installed this and ran the water for 20 seconds only, the first filter so fast became dirty, is that normal or my area water condition is extremely bad?

why there is bubble inside ? water pressure not enough? im pretty sure no leaking.

purpose to install this i want cleaner water even for dish washing, and to pro long the life of 3M water purifier. no outdoor filter, condo cannot install also not going to hack wall.

i tot 5 micron should be 1st filter then 1 micron second filter? no?

You price beat zheilwane's price.
But the below seller beat your liao @ RM766
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/aquaphor...s308333200.html
*
i think the low price is due to different cartridge used. The photo showed K3, K2 & K7. The first set i bought from Zheilwane is using K3, K7B & K7.
Recently i replace the cartridge which i bought from Hestati is also K3, K7B & K7. Google showed that K2 cartridge is cheaper the K7B.

Cyst are in fact micro organisms that are much larger in size than bacteria, therefore many small micron filters are able to remove cyst.  MTBE is a chemical,,basically volatile compound, Methyl tert-butyl ether.

Then there are smaller bacteria (smaller than cyst) and even smaller viruses. Aquaphor, for instance, can remove bacteria, but not viruses. Disruptor/Lite for example can remove viruses, RO can, UV can (in theory).

Cyst is in fact 2 to 50 micron in size. Any filter with 0.5 to 1 micron absolute will be able to remove all cyst
*
aquaphor cannot remove viruses, is it safe to drink directly from the filter without boil?
