Hi all, just a quick question to all the sifu's here...

After I install the vertical sand water filter that people normally install as POE, and I plan to move houses,

Is it okay for me to transport the sand filter sidways?

Or it has to be transported upright... is there any pro and cons?

Thanks all....

I bliv you will need to replace the sand also, just pour out the sand and water, then transport to new house, then put in new sand.
Many customers asked about Aquaphor Crystal Eco flow rate since it is 0.1micron, how would it affect the water pressure. As different area has different water pressure and it will affect the filter's flow rate as well, here is a video to show how good is the flow rate.

Thanks zheilwane... the sand filter is relatively new (not more than 6 months)... it just happened that I will be transfered to a new location...

Thus, I dont think I will need sand change... anyhow, is it okay transferring it by laying it down, or is it a must to transport it upright?

If you need to drink direct then you must get a filter that would be able to remove bacteria. Surprisingly, if you drop off all gimmicks like "alkaline" and all that, there are not many quality systems on the market able to do that. The one from 3M for example, will cost you way over 2K.  Many consider Aquasana to be an alternative, but it is not, since it does not remove bacteria, it is basically just a carbon filter.

From what we offer, anything except 3M Easy Complete will satisfy your requirements, so it basically depends on your budget, Fresca Lite for example is 850RM and it is able to satisfy all the criteria you listed, while having relatively low maintenance cost. Aquaphor is more expensive and has slower flow, but changing cartridges is very easy.

If you're thinking PoE also, unless your water quality is really bad so that you can see the dirt/mud with your naked eyes, you can skip PoE for now, rather get quality PoU.

Hi all, i got a question.

my house currently has a media sand poe filter which i bought for cheap at about rm400...

i kind of do backwash daily as i use the water for the plants around my house.

recently, the multiportvalve is leaking, thus, am not really sure if the filter is still working properly or not...

now my question is, with daily backwash, and usage of approximately 35m3 - 40m3 a month.. should i change to a better POE filtration mode and brand? or just maintain the current one and just change the multiport valve

i found pleated filter, membrane filter, sand filter... so, not sure whether i should change or not

i live with two parents of 70+ years old, 2 adults of 30+ years old and 2 kids of less than 5 years old with frequent visits from family members as the parents are here... (no visits during mco though smile.gif)

hope some can help... i dont use any kitchen top or under counter filters.. but i do use one coway filter (which was bought on impulse and its kind of doing its job)...

edited: its okay if it doesn't have a backflow valve, I'll just put another outlet before the poe for watering the plants. smile.gif
