You still need POU (point of use) for drinking or cooking purpose. That is why there are 2 terms, POE and POU.

Good news to you. 3M recently introduced a new affordable POU drinking water filter called CTM-01. Available exclusively at Tesco for an introductory price of RM340. Normal selling price is RM399. The package c/w necessary tubing, faucet adaptor for instant counter top installation. ( can be installed undersink too)
The filter head is silmilar to that of my existing 3M AP Easy Complete, therefore I can use my C-complete cartrige for CTM-01 as well. For those who plan to buy the RM800 3M easy complete starter set, hold your horse, you can save some $$$ with 3M CTM-1 + C-Complete replacement cartridge.

CTM-01 is an affordable branded PUO filter option good for second POU, office, student, rented premises, portability.
I just bought 2 units for office and second POU purposes.

BTW, CTM-01 is tested in accordance with NSF 42/53 standards only, that's why it is cheap. Replacement cartridge is about RM150ish. if You want NSF certified, replace it with NSF certified C-Complete cartridge in your next cartrige replacement.

Can not. The CTM-1 can't meet your usage volume ? You just use it for washing and cooking food ?
If cooking, you already disinfect the water already, cyst ff or any filtered water without NSF certified good enough.

The ACE Hardware shop got sell the Culligan brand. Should fit your budget, if you want even more cheaper, go to Tesco, look for those Cap Ayam under RM100.

If you just wan a cheaper filter for high capacity not premium water quality then get a ceramic washable filter for less than RM 200 only. If clog just open and clean it.

If you POE already 0.1 micron, at least instal a carbon filter for secondary pou to filter the chlorine and other chemical not filtered by your POE.
E.g. while rinsing rice, rice will absorb the chlorine immediately if water is not filter by carbon.

I see it this way. With 3M brand name and reputation, when they boldly printed the words "tested in accordance to NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 standard" on the CTM cartridge itself, it simply means the cartridge is tested as good as NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 but without the certification. I think I can trust 3M's words (tested) without the certification for cheaper price and for secondary POU usage.
If you look at other certified 3M cartridges, they were printed as "NSF standard 42 & 53 tested and certified". Two processes here, the test and the certification. Of course the prices are more expensive.

Alternatively, get a standard 10" filter housing ( single or double ), then put in the NSF standard certified Dalton 10" cartridges. Voila...!

If no room for extra filter faucet, you may want to consider replacing the main faucet with 2-in-1 faucet.

I doubt anyone can offer the price to you lower than RM3.6k. Probably, the guy selling to you at RM2.5k are in the urge to clearing off his old stock. Make sure you check the warranty starting date.

Usually new sets of eSpring are 2 years warranty from the date of purchase.

no 100% to this, got pros and cons to each filters but end of the day AMWAY + DWS2500 both also produce premium quality tap water

1) DWS2500 less electrical components, less problem. Online comments several customers got problem with AMWAY indicator and electrical components.

2) Espring got UV light, DWS2500 dont have

3) DWS2500 replacement cartridge more expensive than Espring.

4) DWS2500 is for undersink, save space, and looks nice.

5) DWS2500 does not require electricity, no nd standby plugpoint for it.

cant cure ... however the acid water from the Rubine machine reduce itchiness only.
