Delivery sim will actives when follow instructions for activations or 30 days later automatically activated when posted.

VALIDITY PERIOD

The SIM Card will remain valid for as long as either one or all of the following activity is carried out;

1.Reload your Account
2. Purchase any Add-Ons
3. Perform any chargeable activity in the form of Call/SMS/usage of Data

Referring to point no.3, does this mean I don't have to purchase any reload or add-ons even after 90 days, for as long I just use Call/SMS/Data from the remaining allowance? hmm.gif

Weird. This afternoon couldn't use Internet because there was no LTE line. Since there was no 3G quota anymore, I couldn't go online. But tonight at home I got 3G line but internet works (maybe capped). So, can use LTE only quota for 3G? I'm so confused.

50MB is already finished, mate. That's why I thought it was weird.

Edit: I think I got it wrong. My 50mb is not finished yet. I thought it was finished because there's no counter of it on the app. Now it is finished. Can't go online. Oh well.

The annoying thing about Webe/Unifi Mobile is that they say they don't support USsD anymore because "it is no longer common to use USSD"

What rubbish excuse is that? All the other telcos support USSD.

Yes, making any calls, sending SMS or browsing will keep your line active. The idea is to encourage reload

Did I get this wrong? It's not necessarily to reload to keep the line active. As long as I'm using it, it will be ok because eventually, I'll still need to reload. Is it?

Let say I bought 8gb for 50rm. However, I can't finish it within 90 days. So, it means I can still use it till it finishes and reload as what the q&a said, to encourage reload because I'll still reload after that as I'm using it slowly.

Or no?

Yes. I think you can keep the line active with chargeable usage. If you use your already bought add-on (calls/sms/data), it's not a chargeable usage. You have to reload, or use calls/SMS that are pay per use (deducting your balance).

Just use it only by sending 1 sms/ 1 sec call/ 1 byte of data within 90days and the line will stay active along with all your data/sms/call balance.

I think this is a misconception. If you used your add-on, it's not a "chargeable" usage. If you buy the add-on, then it's chargeable. If you use pay per use calls/SMS, then it's chargeable.

So, in order to keep your line active, you have to make a chargeable usage (deducting your balance) or simply reload.

ported from friendi (umobile mvno ). no confirmation sms from friendi.

around 7.30pm, friendi simcard “no service” and swap with unifi mobile sim.

call in & out no problem, sms in &out no problem. use data no problem..

the problem cannot get verification sms for “first time login” in the app..

on your questions, maybe give it up to 3 working days. usually new mnp need time to reset.

Even their FAQ have 2 version of usage. 1 is chargeable and 1 is making any usage. That make things complicated.
Someone need to tested it to everyday checked the inactive date.

This is my understanding. Your usage of original subscribed add-on does not really deduct your balance, ain't it? You have to make a "chargeable" usage.

If you have no call/SMS add on and then you make calls or SMS, your balance will be deducted. That's what "any usage" is.

The only thing can deploy is ussd over ip but only applies to few phones(of coz flagship phones) which is not user friendly

yeah. the word chargeable usage appears many times. in other words, technically you have to finish your add-ons before the usage become chargeable. unless you reload rm10 and not buy any plans (after finishing the freebies) and make the call/sms/data use once every 90 days.

minimum need to topup rm10 to maintain it for n years. unless u pakai buang.

i chat with a lot of agent today and get the same reply.
For the chargeable activities means that the activities which will deduct your balance in your account. as unifi mobile dont offer any payperuse charges so there is no way for you to make chargeable activities without buying an add on...

nice trick unifi. i chat with more than 5 agents and get the same reply.

But "chargeable usage" can also mean SMS/Call/Data that are going to deduct your add-on allowance.
For example, if you call a toll-free number, then that is not a chargeable usage call, since its free and will not deduct add-on.

So,
Call Toll-free numbers = non chargeable.
Call your girlfren number = chargeable and will deduct add-on.

Right?

I think they just want you to top up once if you want to keep the number. What you do with the rm10 after will be up to you. Say instead of buy the rm10 addon, you make call or sms then it become chargeable usage right? Also the 1 gig basic data looks reasonable if you just want to whatsapp, whatsapp use very little data.

2. i do not have to send any sms to unifi to trigger porting process because i picked up the sim card from tmpoint. the system already automatically start the porting process during pickup.

it is troublesome to wait for 3 days.. without sms verification, cannot login the app and topup. cannot make call after the free 10 minutes given finish..

This is my understanding. Your usage of original subscribed add-on does not really deduct your balance, ain't it? You have to make a "chargeable" usage.

If you have no call/SMS add on and then you make calls or SMS, your balance will be deducted. That's what "any usage" is.
*
To my understanding, you cannot call or SMS without the call plan. hmm.gif No PPU rate for call, SMS and data. All come in plan quota.

Can I make calls and send SMS to International numbers with the new unifi mobile #BEBAS?

Definitely yes! The charges will be deducted from your account balance using Pay As You Use (PAYU) basis.
I think can pay as you use for calls/sms. If top up then got credit can use to make calls without addon. Now it has no credit.

i worry that they will change the wording to "reload to stay active " at a later date.

does making call to oversea consider as chargeable activities?

Even need reload RM40 per year not bad right. Those 365 validity also cost RM30+, this one the reload you can use. Of course coverage another matter lah.

you can reload to extend you validity. on chargeable call/sms/data thing, we need to wait for more information.

"It’s simple. Just make a chargeable usage, reload or purchase any of the add-ons within 90 days from your last purchase and (or) usage date."

13GB per months

total cost would be rm110

if oversea calls can extend the validity then my cost will be only rm70

not a bad deal..

Can I do like that?

the free 20GB is not forever and it is 1st come 1st serve for the 1st 1mil activated sim, so better activate 1st and slowly use to maintain the data
anyway the reload money is still urs to purchase add on, still worth it to get 20gb data without paying anything extra~

yes, this is good, but not so practical to use 1byte of data since all of us here is to slowly utilise the free 20gb per sim, and the payu rate is not available yet.
therefore the cheapest to stay active for another 90 days is to make IDD call to Canada/France/Thailand/UK/USA fixed line with just RM0.15/min to get 66 X 89 = 5874 = 16 years and 30 days validity with just RM10 top up~

So that means the validity is somewhere a wool over our eyes la.

Will monitor and see how's it going then. If we are forced to top up every 90 days, it certainly does not mean no expiry date.

Think I will ended my onexox prepaid soon.

onexox - 28 months validity, after that reload RM 1 get 1 day extend, or RM 25 get 12 months validity. the RM 25 is just paying to them.

unifi mobile - reload at least RM 10 every 90 days to get line active. RM 40 per year, but at least the RM 40 is in my balance, I can purchase add on after that.

(prepaid card just my data backup card on another phone, I'm Maxisone user btw)

according to soyacincau,

We reached out to someone at TM for clarification on what it takes to keep your line active. He told us that all you’ll need is to do one of the following to reset the entire 90 days cycle:

1. Make 1 outgoing phone call, or
2. Send 1 outgoing SMS, or
3. Browse for 1MB, or
4. Reload any amount between RM10, 30, 50, 100, or
5. Purchase any of our data or voice and SMS passes

Also, making IDD call doesn't count

yes very conflicting answer here. I guess the only way to find out is to wait 90 days, then don't reload, BUT just make a call/sms and see if that keeps the line active (if someone doesn't mind losing their number laugh.gif )

you ned to know most of the customer service (even other place) are dumb and they just follow with what they know.
please read the TnC and you will get the information that 3 criterias to stay active within 90 days.
chargeable activity is one of them.

information from mouth is not 100% but TnC is black n white written.

please read the TnC and you will get the information that 3 criterias to stay active within 90 days.
chargeable activity is one of them.

information from mouth is not 100% but TnC is black n white written.

Well it's kinda true so let's see. I won't be buying anything for these 90 days and will monitor whether something will prompt me or not from the app.

For those taking 5 lines in one registration session, can you check if the first line registration is the principle line and the subsequent 4 lines are the supp lines ?
Need to clarify this as it may lead to complications when I want to MNP only one line to other Telco in the future.

I trusted the tnc too. Actually, extending validity period by chargeable usage is nothing new. The first Telco started this feature was Friendi about 2 to 3 years ago where any chargeable usage will extend validity for 2 months but Friendi ended this feature recently.

What's the point of having a principal line in this case?

Is there a special call rate between all the cards under a person's name?

Unifi seems to treat each SIM a separate login account.

Please refer to the above replies by other poster, there is no principal/supplementary line in prepaid in Malaysia yet.

But we never know, TM can introduce principal/supplementary into Unifi mobile prepaid by giving perks like cheaper call rate between the lines, sharing of quota and etc in the future to make it difficult for users to port out number individually.

You think I don't know other prepaid lines don't have principal/supplementary lines?

My point is there is no good reason for having such an implementation unless, as you say, it's a dirty trick to prevent porting-out.

"We reached out to someone at TM for clarification on what it takes to keep your line active. He told us that all you’ll need is to do one of the following to reset the entire 90 days cycle:

1. Make 1 outgoing phone call, or
2. Send 1 outgoing SMS, or
3. Browse for 1MB, or
4. Reload any amount between RM10, 30, 50, 100, or
5. Purchase any of our data or voice and SMS passes

So technically, if you have 20GB of LTE data, your line can be active for 20 months without needing a top-up if you only use 1GB/month. Alternatively, your line could last 40 months if you use 500MB/month."

strongly agree with you. but according to soya cincau:

When we asked someone on their Unifi live chat, surprisingly, they told us that you’ll need a top-up or purchase an add-on to extend your validity to 90 days. Even making an IDD call won’t count.

One dumb question
If we buy data/call add on, it will stack up with existing balance or override the balance?
Let's say call left 5 mins, if we buy 60mins it will become 65 or 60mins?
Same goes to data, left 500mb, buy 1GB will become 1.5GB or 1GB?

I couldn't find this info from unifi page..

Good question actually. Assuming the quota doesn't expire, it should just stack up, but we can't be sure what TM is doing.

I don't even dare to ask on Live Chat given all the blur sotongs in CS giving conflicting information so far.

The only way to confirm is if someone actually tries to buy 2 add-ons one after another and then feedback to us here.

Hmm.. now I see from the FAQ, IDD calls are charged by PAYU basis, deducting from your credit. So yes, IDD calls should be "chargeable usage". And the cheapest rate I see is to the USA (15 sen/min).

Definitely yes! The charges will be deducted from your account balance using Pay As You Use (PAYU) basis.

For IDD call/sms, can use PAYU, for domestic call/sms can not use PAYU, very weird.

I already collected the sim card and the TM guy told me no active days shown but you can check based on 90 days from the history, there are reload, add on and pay per use.
This will end the 90 days speculation~

You are correct. Stacked up into data. Let say you left 15GB and you purchase a 8GB data plan, it will add into your current data quota. 19GB LTE Only and 4GB 3G/LTE

I already collected the sim card and the TM guy told me no active days shown but you can check based on 90 days from the history, there are reload, add on and pay per use.
This will end the 90 days speculation~

My initial perception is that being on Band 5 eats my phone battery faster than being on Bands 7/3/8. No Band 38/40 in my area.

Maybe Unifi signal being quite weak (1-2 bars on lower floor) in my home area is a factor.

Yes, after u click first time login and key in the number it will send the sms for u to key in the verification code.
If u don't receive immediately, switch to airplane mode then back on and it should be able to come in.
2 of my sim cards need to do like that in order to receive the sms.

Got 4G in Miri, better than UMobile. I think this sim is seriously good as a 2nd no. since the price to pay for data usage is so expensive after the free amount of data.

Alternatively, your line could last 40 months if you use 500MB/month."

weak signal drains battery because your phone has to use more power to communicate with the tower. the phone also generates more radiation which may be bad to health.

for pickup at TMPoint, they used a very stupid method to capture the MyKad information... Scan the IC with back camera... Some people unable to collect the sim card due to unable to scan the details on the IC with the "back camera"... i thought there is device to insert into 3.5mm and insert our IC to verify the thumbprint right? why use back camera to scan? just snap a photo or photocopy enough la... y so hassle... ask people go exchange IC then only can scan again... genius...

The porting all done in 1 day. Morning registered via app > afternoon collected the sim > evening line clear liao.
I asked TM Point how many SIM given out today, she said about 500 sims. I guess every one wack 5 sims each ID.

well yes. friendi doesn't send out port out confirmation. once received request from unifi, they will release it immediately. that's why so fast. other telco will send confirmation sms within 24 hours, then another 12 hours before releasing it.

Tested on band 38 & 40 (TP Link MR200), can get 6-8mbps average (50%) signals

Yes as per what u said if u r using 1 sim, but for those who took 5 sim like me, we need top up RM10 for first 90 days then spend a fixed line call to Canada/France/Thailand/UK/USA every 90 days to slowly finish up the 100GB LTE quota~

RM10 for 20GB is still very nice deal~

Going to switch my U28 to prepaid and reload RM2 every 61 days just to remain the number for people to call me, I will use one of the unifi number to top up more for call n sms add on and use it frequently but yet no need to waste call/sms/data while I'm offshore or overseas~ thanks unifi for this great plan~

Follow up to the other user who says Menara Pertam in Melaka dun have stock.

Apparently all Melaka branch all dun have stock. Baru went to the Gajah Berang branch. The salesman there say restock on Tuesday in Melaka.

Just a heads up to everyone going today.

u can switch to xox. with 24 month validity. still can make call any time + no need to remember when to reload.
*#2263#* to lock ur band to lte only.
*
the longest is 28 months with purchase of super season pass, but what i want is just maintain with RM2 reload and somemore the credit is still inside for me to decide in the future.

RM2 for 61 days means RM26 only for 28 X 30 days and the credit still there

I will be dropping over at Quill City Mall tomorrow to collect my SIM cards, does anyone know if that branch still has stock? Regardless I will call them up before I go tomorrow since I will be at Pavilion.

just want to confirm, is there any hidden fee for applying this new simcard, what about termination of service also no hidden fee?
or we need to keep the service as long as 1 year before termination or else there will be charges? anyone could confirm it is really free prepaid with no string attached?

did u receive the sms "RM0.00 unifi: [your number] has been successfully registered and activated." after u insert the sim card?
please check the number with the number that you try to login for the first time, you might have multiple sim but got the wrong number written wrongly on the sim pack

top up RM10 X 5 after 89 days if your 1st 20GB still not finish up, make a call to Canada/France/Thailand/UK/USA fixed line (google) for another 89 days and so on till ur data finish. FYI, RM10 can be almost finish with 66 calls with 10 cents left. In theory, you got 89 X (1 + 1 + 66) = 6052 days = 16 years 208 days (including leap year) before your sim came to an end to finish up all the 100GB

should be able to as long as u leave ur ic to them cos they wanna "scan" ur ic with their phone.
beware if the "scanner" unable to detect ur ic chip, then they will retrieve back the sim and ask u to go replace a new IC and follow the same procedure again...

Use office address...

As for my case, the "Line Clear" courier-man just slot the parcel into the mailbox. But he did call me and asked for my permission to do so. Also, he is very "careful" by confirming that my porch has the correct car plate number...

One more thing, don't throw away the Delivery Order outside the parcel as it contains the serial numbers that correspond to all the numbers for each SIM card...

What's the LTE coverage like...? Seems very limited for Unifi mobile...

Setia Alam where I stay only 3G all the way, no signs of LTE... And that 20GB free is only for LTE use, so when I checked the unifi mobile app, I was only left with 13MB for 3G usage... 13MB only...!!! shocking.gif

I had to reload and buy data already on my first day... That 20GB macam scam aje, to con 9 us to buy their pack...

iPhone 6 should have LTE band 5...

I guess Setia Alam only has partial coverage and my house is only few hundred meters away from the edge of the coverage area...

Call/SMS/Data from Add-on is considered chargeable usage rclxms.gif

But freebies quota is not accepted though, so for this promo starter pack, we need to reload and buy add-on at least once to maintain the account.

So, I guess we need to also finish up the freebies quota. After that, any Call/SMS/Data from the add-on quota will reset your validity.

That's the purpose of the "complimentary" 20GB is for... i.e. to test all the areas that we're "engaged" especially at home and work...

By right, we should not immediately port-in our primary number... Get a trial SIM first to test the coverage and reliability...sometime can get full bar 4G+ but due to congestion issue, speed deteriorates...

If "balik kampong" season, stand-by prepaid data from other Telco(s)...

Can always port out after 30 days cooling period...

Conclusion : Unifi-M is not for our primary number...

Pity the hundreds who will make a wasted trip there today. They don't  even know their own working hours.

same case here, the app said it open, but official TM website state it didn't open

so, anyone planning to go Quill tomorrow, but if the pickup location is fixed once you order?

Oh yeah, the other day when I went to pick up the SIM at TMpoint George Town, their WiFi SSID was called "TMpoint JB". LOL.

Ya first time heard of this courier service too. Their riders are very honest I must say. We did have chit chat when he sent the sim. Im quite impressed at their IC scanning device though. He connect the device to his iPhone and I verifies our IC for delivery. He also said before this he usually send webe sims but now he was quite weird of what the Unifi is all about. So I just explain its apparently a new Telco who gave out free sims with 20gb free and works on certain phones and only LTE.

He said he would also like to try it out 😅😅.

But I must say he was very honest on making sure things got delivered. Good service attitude.

*
better don't believe the customer care, they always make wrong perception like other operators did cos some don't even know their products well...
we all know that buying add on and chargeable activity is two different thing...
you wanna risk your account terminated by using the add on call/sms/data on the last day or just spend 15cents on IDD call, it's ur own call...

Anyone knows when we browse using 4G in our phone, does it use the free 20Gb LTE first or the or the 50MB one? Mine only deduct 50MB, the free quota 20GB still full no touch.

Although the coverage map says my area has no Unifi 4G, I actually can get a decent 4G signal. So for my area the signal quality is as follows:

Maxis > Digi > Celcom > TM > U Mobile

U Mobile is the worst. I put the SIM in and force the phone to 4G-only, and it defaults to Maxis (emergency calls only).

I haven't tried Yes 4G yet.

I managed to register first time login for all 5 SIMs because mine is not MNP.

Anyway, at first I thought the connection will be so bad that I have no faith to utilize the free 100GB. I think I was wrong and just simply chucked into my spare phone - Alcatel Pixi 4, I Googled and I'm surprised it's one of the Webe LTE phones. laugh.gif

the app is kinda sucks, we can't even see the basic information such as how many days remaining (validity).

They should let us see if we make any "chargeable usage" and reset the 90 days validity.

Second thing is, why can't we view all 5 numbers in 1 single login??? since we register the 5 numbers using 1 IC.

Still have to check the date manually, count when is the 90th days...

Which telco apps nowadays didn't provide such basic info on dashboard???
*
as i know for active to passive, other telco got send sms to remind u to reload, so for this case, we assume they will as well but who knows, we only can know this when 89 days has come

as for passive period till line termination, all telco didn't provide this support to remind u that ur line will be terminate soon, so if unifi is using this method, then no choice but u have to do this manually

very obvious TM is avoiding to be transparent and disclosing the lifecycle of their new prepaid plan.

pray they include variety of notifications to inform customers. else, tons of complaints to mcmc/cfm due to TM's failure to inform customers appropriately, instead of hiding everything inside the app, which is also bare minimum.

well incoming calls should be normal , incoming call only will be effected if your line is inactive for 90 days.

if all finish , its like u out of credit , reload and subscribe to voice plan

because it's new and customer service is handle by few management , u will get mixed info .

90 minutes inactive = u didnt make any call , or use any data or sms , just idle receive calls only .

if u use data , call or sms ( even free ones ) its consider usage .

Tm want u to finish freebies and start reload so they can make money .

this info is from launch plan , i dont know if they change it after launch , cause ppl are registering 5 line for 100gb

yes that's their plan anyway and is based on assumption you USE rather than keeping it unplugged/incoming call-sms laugh.gif

better still, put in smartphone lor. the mobile app itself will use data anyway, auto-extend without making calls/sms

If you still have freebie minutes left but you buy a Call & SMS add-on, from which one will be deducted first when you make a call, the freebie or the add-on?

curious too because there could be few variation:

free
free + promo 20gb
free + promo 20gb + add-on

the faq doesnt specify what is the usage priority too.

This is what I learnt from livechat. If you don't collect your SIM card(s) within 30 days from the order date, your order will be cancelled automatically.

Also, they can not cancel your order if you want to cancel it

Need to wait 30 days for the auto cancellation

Edit: Sorry for the typo

RM10, 60min + 60sms, data u still got 20GB can slowly consume it
but dont buy any add on first unless u really port in ur number n need to call or sms or finish up the free 20GB or unable to detect LTE and finish up the 50MB, cos after reload u got another 90 days
before that u got 90 days to perform reload as well, so slowly consume ur free data 1st

I don't have 4G USB Modem, but I use a MIFI Huawei E5577S and it works fine. As long as your modem support Band 5 850MHz it should be ok. After inserting the SIM you need to configure the APN setting.

Prepaid is free, incl 20gb lte data, while stocks last (1 mil). A lot collect 5 free sims, total 100gb.

Just tried on my phone that supports Band 5 (Lenovo P2)

Only get 4G connection, while my usual Hotlink getting 4G+. Area: Puchong

BTW the data cost seems more expensive that Hotlink rates. So far can't justify if i should port out from Hotlink.

the activation is only done on the spot u collect, not through apps
through apps is only foc RM10.60 for the sim card, not compulsory free 20GB for u unless u activate within the 1mil mark

Went to TM Tasek, Ipoh to go and collect the cards, say no stock already and was asked to come back tomorrow. Real disappointed. When I was there, many people were queuing up applying for the SIM card. I thought they only entertain online application? I applied 2 cards on Saturday.

Those who applied online, they will update you to go and collect right?

you can go directly to any TMPoint and use your smartphone to go through the same process

bvut anyway, they should open up two line, one for pre-register and one direct walkin

I see, so it's carrier aggregation to get LTE-A speed. But if a phone supports either one only, you will still get a LTE(4G) connection right?

I got my sim last Sat.
Shopping for CNY, so had a chance to test the speed many places in Ipoh.
Except the TM point and major towns, it reach 20-30m. All the other places are less than 5m, mostly between 1-2m.
Since it is free, i won't complain anything but sorry to say, it is totally not suitable to use in Ipoh area. Any other telco much better than it.

as i know for active to passive, other telco got send sms to remind u to reload, so for this case, we assume they will as well but who knows, we only can know this when 89 days has come

as for passive period till line termination, all telco didn't provide this support to remind u that ur line will be terminate soon, so if unifi is using this method, then no choice but u have to do this manually
*
I mean for example, like what we can see in maxis, digi app, valid until xx-xxx-2018, or xx days left, these simple and common information

understand that unifi wanna promote "bebas, no expired", but in fact there is to keep line active in the so called 90 days, so they should provide the info above

i think they should consider allowing sim card collections to be done without branch restrictions. this could easily ease congestion in branches.

i instantly left tm point pandan indah after being told there are over 200 queues in front of me. how i wished i have selected quill mall earlier..

those sim packs are blank sims afterall, where they will only assign your selected numbers upon verification.

Can I register the line through the app on one phone and install
the SIM in an old non-LTE phone?
*
Yes, it didn't depend on the phone with the same sim card, once u receive the SMS to verify with the account and create password, u can login the account with any phone

FYI, just now it deduct xiaomi verification SMS to 33488, means the SMS quota is to any operator and special code~
And also I found out the sim card that my wife collected without ic scan, the activation time is the time I insert the sim card, not the time I collect like that day using ic to scan…

I wish to port number on non-LTE phone (old phone) to Unifi@Mobile.
Where is the verification SMS sent to?
The old phone or the one with the app?
(the old phone is just a backup)

Should be to wherever your Unifi SIM is at. Assuming the port-in has successfully gone through.

Gotta agree haha, unifi mobile looks like the best choice for people who are light users and quota that doesn't expire is a big advantage as well.

their LTE advanced doesnt bring big speed asvantages since band 5 only comes with 5mbps

Better don't port to unifi, just use it as spare number
If u really wanna port in, then wait till it successfully connected to unifi 3g/H+/4G then only login with the apps for the first time, then it will send the verification code over to ur existing sim card

i think they should consider allowing sim card collections to be done without branch restrictions. this could easily ease congestion in branches.

i instantly left tm point pandan indah after being told there are over 200 queues in front of me. how i wished i have selected quill mall earlier..

those sim packs are blank sims afterall,  where they will only assign your selected numbers upon verification.

Click "FIRST TIME LOGIN" then enter ur mobile number and click "HERE YOU GO"
When u receive the 6 digit code, enter and click "Verify"
Then it will prompt u to create password
After that u will login automatically

Collected my simcard today at Seremban TM point. Wait was around 20 minutes with about 14 people ahead of me. Activated the number as a secondary line on my mate 10. Coverage so far so good. Can see the volte sign beside the unifi logo. Speed also ok. YouTube can load with no lags

What lah! Everyone else can straight away pop in the SIM and access mobile data, with Unifi must manually enter the APN before it works.

Free data? laugh.gif
Choose nice no. and if you are not happy with it, then MNP to your preferred telco to keep the no.
That's what I intend to do but I'm getting over 50Mbps in my PJ house. Tomorrow onward will go back to Seremban, not sure how it fares there. If it's OK, I will give one SIM for my mum to use since she's using dual SIM phone and I buy weekly data for her every time she goes back to our hometown in PD.

Strange experience. Today for the first time I enabled mobile data on the Unifi account.

It was a very brief session but then I checked the app and it said I have 19.95GB remaining. I checked my internal data counter and it said I only used 4MB, so naturally I was not too happy. I thought something wrong with Unifi's data counter.

But later i check the app again and it says 20GB back again but the 50MB data is now 46MB remaining. So it deducted the right amount correctly after all. The mystery is why it suggested I used 50MB earlier on and then corrected the amount later, but then deducted from the 3G/4G allocation when I was definitely in a 4G environment.

I think their data accounting software is still not stable.

20GB per SIM at RM0.00 (if self pickup and while "stock" last) even 6% GST also not imposed if self pickup...

All other telcos can just sit down quietly until 31st March 2018... no need to fight with Unifi-M as ppl MNP blindly for free 20GB... will port out back once 20GB finished or after 30 days cooling period ended...

As for me, I port in my main number and get 4 "dummy" SIM. Using dual SIM phone is a pleasure ride... of course need to ensure both SIM slots support Band 5, 38 & 40...SIM 1 the main line and SIM 2 the dummy line(s)... after SIM 1 finish 20GB, will continue to activate 20GB under SIM 2... the cycle continues until all 20GB for all 5 SIMs finish... after that only will port out back to "other" "attractive" telco...

For those who port in to Unifi-M, ensure to call all the banks for them to reset TAC code generator to your number...

Same thing happened to me just now, also show 19.95GB. After logout and re-login app, the counter corrected itself, and deduct only then 50MB quota.

Maybe initialization process. But still a bug though haha.

For me, all the 10 sim cards i have collected is my secondary main line while my currect number (still under umobile) will be primary sub line.
Why i said like that is actually sometime i need to travel and when i'm back to mainland, i still got 3GB + 3GB VideoONZ to spend for the last 7 days... There are so many call/sms/data wasted if i'm away for 2-3 weeks overseas or offshore...
Thanks to Unifi Mobile, and also the generousity of them giving out 20GB per sim card, i'm going to change my U28 to prepaid on 31 Jan 2018 and from then on, my primary line will be my sub line just for receiving call or sms and using Binfinite 200 points to maintain the number for every 61 days.
As for the secondary main line i refer to, these are the sims that used for my daily call/sms/data. There is no expiry date, just need to reload RM10 on the 89 days, and if the 100min/100sms/200GB LTE/500MB 3G has finished, i just need to focus on one of the card to perform reload and buying add on. Before the free quota finish, i just need to make a 5 sec call to Canada/France/Thailand/UK/USA fixed line with a cost of RM0.15, and with the RM10 reload without making any add on purchase, the 200GB can be slowly consume for the next 16years++~
Of cos during this 16 years i will definitely reload on one of the Unifi mobile sim because the 100min/100sms might finish up as my primary sub card only can use for 2 days validity, but i still got RM2 accumulate each time i perform reload, therefore i got a lot of credit to use in the future and time freedom for me to perform reload/add on~

Who else wants to share how are they going to use this Unifi Mobile?

QUOTE(mrfarhatadib89 @ Jan 30 2018, 08:33 AM)
collected my sim yesterday, but still no phone to use it
yesterday i also ask the officer at tm about validity period
according to him, an sms or call also reset the 90days cycle
*
i already told you don't believe to mouth and only believe on TnC.
Yes one call or sms can reset the 90 days cycle but not from add on.
You can check the time stamping in the history link in your apps and there you can see the reload/add on/pay per use history.
That's the place you can check the 90 days cycle.

Ok, I just ported my secondary Digi number to Unifi Mobile.

If I am satisfied with this, can I request for more SIMs? I only requested for 1 sim.

It's a cheaper way to maintain than other telco.

Other telcos require you to reload RM10 for validity of 10 days, aka RM1/ day to have an active internet connection (for whatsapp, wechat), even at 64kbps. The other option is Digi Super long life, which requires RM100++ per year (about RM9 ++ per month).

For Unifi mobile, you can go for RM15 reload (internet) every 90 days. You get high speed internet for longer period of time.

This is a major issue with port in number. You will need to wait one day after line activation to be able to receive any SMS messages. I and a few other forum members had the same experience.

This is just an introduction phase. No telco can sustain operation with such low ARPU, so I doubt TM will be so generous and running a loss for the next 16 years.

Why should hotspot be an issue? This is not unlimited, why should they care you use all in one day among 5 users , or use in few months for only 1 user. You are still using only 20 gb.

Ya. Same problem here. So it's unifi side problem. I guess I will wait for couple of days and see if it resolves itself. If not, will livechat with unifi about this.

Thanks mate for the confirmation. If you able to solve it do let me know ya.

Sorry for double post. But I need to post this in separate post because it's important.

I finally able to create password. The trick in here is you need to wait for the activation SMS from unifi first. If not, it won't allow you to create account in your unifi mobile app.

I thought the line automatically activated once you are able to use the line. But I was wrong. The activation SMS is essential before you start to utilize the unifi mobile app.

just use 1mb data ?

It’s simple. Just make a chargeable usage, reload or purchase any of the add-ons within 90 days from your last purchase and (or) usage date.

Just Google for any well-known company and look for their US Customer Care line. Usually these lines are 24x7 and you don't have to disturb real humans when making a short call.

According to tm the 20gb complementary LTE data only for one time use only. But u don't have like limit when u need to finish then in time as long you are active. It will not be refreshed after u finish even tho u keep line active afterwards!

What if there is still unutilized balance and no necessity to reload – this makes the line inactive? What about making calls?

Yes, making any calls, sending SMS or browsing will keep your line active. The idea is to encourage reload.

I can't brain this FAQ. So much contradiction.
