QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Jan 29 2018, 01:31 PM) 4G+ or LTE-A is depends on telco, u need band 5 and band 40 and ur device must support that as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks_in_AsiaSo it's not only band 5? Both band 5 and 40 works anywhere that has coverage? How's the call/line quality so far? Does it go 'No Service' frequently?

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Jan 29 2018, 02:24 PM) yes, both band must be there and ur phone also need to support B5+B40 LTE-A i hvt try out the call and data yet, wait until i switch my u mobile to prepaid then only start using it I see, so it's carrier aggregation to get LTE-A speed. But if a phone supports either one only, you will still get a LTE(4G) connection right? QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Jan 29 2018, 02:24 PM) tested the call from landline incoming, switch to 3G automatically and back to 4G after call ended quality ok though Great, thanks I guess have to try out and find out more

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Jan 29 2018, 03:04 PM) just don't care about the LTE-A la... want so fast speed for what? unless u are subscribing Digi i150, that one i'm using E5186s-22a to get around 100Mbps. else u dont need 100Mbps for this as 20GB as it will be gone in 1638.4sec = 27min18.4sec Gotta agree haha, unifi mobile looks like the best choice for people who are light users and quota that doesn't expire is a big advantage as well.

QUOTE(muman7 @ Feb 1 2018, 02:54 PM) Which FAQ were you reading? [attachmentid=9562305] First hand experience, when I'm in 4G, LTE quota went down, 3G quota stays. Did this multiple times just to see it. My guess, since they categorized it as LTE and LTE/3G. The former will come in effect only when there is CA, just guessing haha. Update, just observed don't really need CA. So I'm confused what does LTE/3G quota means This post has been edited by xperiaVuser: Feb 1 2018, 11:56 PM

QUOTE(viperckl @ Feb 1 2018, 10:05 PM) I port over from u-mobile and cannot get the sms verification code. Got another new SIM no problem. Think the problem is on those switching from other provider. Reported to live chat and they ask to wait When did you SMS the DMP number?

QUOTE(iamoracle @ Feb 2 2018, 07:52 AM) Not 100% true. Huawei P9 without band 5 still able to connect to Unifi 4G LTE provided the area uses band 38/40. I tested it and confirmed the connection is 4G LTE as I had finished the free 50MB 3G quota early. I also noticed a reduction in the free LTE quota. yup, some areas 38/40, on band 5 the average speed for me is 1.5mbps, quite low

One of my sim suddenly went inactive, even SIM is not detected. Put in another phone, no service then undetected as well. Also the app or system is buggy, used untill 19.2 GB quota, check again it went up to 19.5, then 19.8. Then my line for cut off.

QUOTE(czai84 @ Feb 2 2018, 03:13 PM) Yes its unlimited, but my goal is to cut the cost , unifi is what i looking for. The operator also shocked and speechless lol. Light user ok, medium to heavy is definite no-no. I see you are from kk, do report back how's the speed. mine even on 4G in some areas getting only 1.5mbps on average, some places that can connect at higher frequency bands seems to be performing about 20mbps and above.

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Feb 2 2018, 08:42 PM) redmi note 3 band 5 and 40 can be used haha, i think they got some loop hole on the free 20GB, therefore they faster stop it before 1mil even though they will claim already 1mil but as you see in the play store is only around 100-500k installation... what kind of loop hole? probably a bug? maybe something related to my situation, my quota went down to 19.2. Later check it's 19.5, finally it became 19.8, it's like my quota is doing some self healing. now my line is deactivated, no news from them.

One of my sim couldn't be detected after a few days usage, then went to tm point for them to check. At first they tried to push the responsibility to live chat staff, I said if sim is not detected it's a big possibility it's faulty and why can't I get a replacement... had to do some extensive explanation eg. like if sim is not detected you can't set the APN etc, before they gave a replacement for me. Looks like it's a first sim replacement for that tm point branch This post has been edited by xperiaVuser: Feb 7 2018, 10:47 PM

For those who are getting really low speeds, and rarely connect to 4G, it could be a faulty SIM card. Mine were getting low connection speed even on 4G after a few days my SIM card could not be detected.
Now with the new SIM, 4G connection at the same places is much better, also getting 4G connection in places where I can only get 3G previously.

QUOTE(sitescope @ Feb 15 2018, 09:56 PM) Item b isn't clear Make any outgoing calls with add-on Kenot call use that come free with sim But what if I bought 60mins+60sms, how does it work then? it's 70mins+70sms in total now, before the end of 6 months, i make a call, will it use free or the addon? *update: ok just got off live chat, it doesn't matter as the total will be counted as addon. QUOTE(cybpsych @ Feb 15 2018, 12:47 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « because tm/webe is paying a hefty sum of money to celcom! DR is using celcom network, so as long as you're in 3G, it will "tumpang" DR network for connectivity. tm/webe want you to use LTE so that it's under tm/webe infra, no extra money spent. now, why they split lte/non-lte? because of user, location/coverage, device behavior lor. tm/webe cannot control WHERE you use their service. tm/webe cannot control WHAT device you use. it could be any phone not supporting their b5/b38/b40. tm/webe cannot control HOW you set your device network selection you could be using supported phone, but set it to 3G (probably to conserve battery or due to previous mobile operator used). Veli good info, it's good to know. This post has been edited by xperiaVuser: Feb 15 2018, 11:37 PM
