Think I will ended my onexox prepaid soon.

onexox - 28 months validity, after that reload RM 1 get 1 day extend, or RM 25 get 12 months validity. the RM 25 is just paying to them.

unifi mobile - reload at least RM 10 every 90 days to get line active. RM 40 per year, but at least the RM 40 is in my balance, I can purchase add on after that.

(prepaid card just my data backup card on another phone, I'm Maxisone user btw)

Is tether/hotspot blocked for this unifi mobile sim? I can't find the hotspot button on my phone.

lol sweat.gif
hotspot button is always on your phone even the telco not allow to hotspot.
Then its your phone problem already.
But unifi mobile is ok to hotspot.
Already got confirmation from CS. (but I yet to try la)

Not really. On my phone, if the telco does not allow tethering, the hotspot button does not appear.

So far I’ve only seen this with AT&T sims.
*
Is it.. never try this. Then I learnt something. But just now I go and check my phone with unifi mobile, hotspot button is there.

Just live chatted with CS. CS guided me on how to set up the Personal Hotspot, have to do it under Mobile Network Options.
*
Oh ya. My option also under mobile network side. Maybe it depend on phone.

dont ever 100% believe what customer service agent said. i am using band 38 , band 40  and no band 5 coverage in my area.
*
Because ur area have 4G LTE advanced coverage. In either band 38/40.
But normal coverage only up to 4G, then is band 5. Hard to get 4G LTE advanced for my area.

Speed test on my all current mobile.

Maxis 53mbps (full bar 4G)
Onexox (Celcom) 48 Mbps (4G+ 2 bar)
Unifi mobile 11mbps (full bar 4G)

But I don't feel big impact on me maybe it's just my backup line to use Waze map or Facebook surfing.

But do admitted in my house area unifi mobile signal is stronger than onexox. Celcom line really sucks in my house area. Always no signal. That's why those year back mnp to maxis.

This sounds logical but sad. Got this from Ipoh TM point. There was consistent info from 3ppl. Well, can call in or go another TM point to double confirm.

Source TM Point Ipoh, 2 persons in charge of Unifi M and another general supervisor who walks the floor. I just wanted to tally the info I have just gotten with other folks since this info was never given earlier when I received my earlier SIMs few weeks earlier.

This is answer from Unifi Mobile FB: (17 Feb 2018)

XXX : Free sim 20g lte bile expired?

unifi Mobile Hai, XXX.

Sometimes, even TM internal staff are giving wrong info one sweat.gif

I thought termination  is on day 91?  This SMS also prove that browsing of free data will not keep line active.
*
Yes, this is my thought too. Means usage from freebie not counted.
I think need either reload or buy add on only can keep line active.

Received my Sim this afternoon from delivery guy, inserted into my xiaomi Mi4i phone.  Tested on calling/sms, no problem.

Super slow when I tried to surf net or open waze, basically the page is like loading forever.  Asked CS via live chat, she said xiaomi phone got firmware problem which failed to use LTE band 5.  When I asked about cheaper phones that support LTE band 5, she said mostly Samsung phones work.

As a work around, currently I changed settings of mobile network from "Preferably LTE" to "Preferably 3G", then at least can watch youtube and use waze.  In my case, quota allocated for 3G/LTE (40MB) will be consumed faster than LTE-only (20GB).
*
Yes. Maybe right.
I'm using unifi mobile on my backup phone (Samsung J7 Pro) also working fine. Speed also smooth whenever got 4G line.

Wonder those who already registered 5 SIMs with mobile@unifi, meaning already reached the capacity for registering new prepaid numbers and no longer can register any new number with any telco? hmm.gif
Under the MCMC’s new guidelines, enforced early this year, an individual may now only own a maximum of five prepaid numbers.
Dubious prepaid lines to be cut
*
Sure meh?
Before register unifi mobile,
my name currently holding OneXOX 2 prepaid line.
So plus unifi now having 7 active line.
