charge for direct debit is more expensive if book from another country

apparently trekking pole will not be allowed to be carried on board.

Better opt for traveloka.com .... much better than AA online booking.

Pros:

(2) No processing fee. AirAsia is charging RM8 Processing fee (credit, debit, charge cards) when payment is made by credit debit or charge cards PER GUEST PER WAY at point of purchase.

Cons:
(1) I was told need to check-in at counter ... no web check-in.

In June I brought 2 tripods (as shown below) during my Bangkok trip using AirAsia flight at KLIA2. So far no problem.

Having said that, my son who is a frequent flyer told me that by right tripods are not allow as hand-carry. As such I have recently bought another 2 portable tripod for travelling use (Tamrac TR404 ZipShot® Mini Tripod & Polaroid 42" Travel Tripod) to avoid any problem.

I bought with luggage around 880+, haven't add insurance/food yet.

My friend few months back went there 1 way 600++ so i thought price not bad but i saw people mentioned about getting Perth around 600 2 way so have to compare a bit in forum.

Japan with AA for 3.2k consider no cheap....
Actually AA depend on date, on some day there are still expensive...

For my case, I will travel to japan on April 2017 (sakura season), AA flight around 1.2k/pax...
At the end, I purchased ANA for 1.3k...
ANA even worth because included 46kg luggage and meal as well...

I've booked ANA to Tokyo at RM1175 before. Airasia to Japan (Sapporo excluded since I'm not sure) anything above RM1k is expensive if you ask me.

Nope. The additional charges is only charged once. If you use bank transfer to pay your ticket, the add ons you can use card without extra charges.

RM1.6k for 2 pax? i think its pretty reasonable then..

agree..checked on AA last time for end of Jan flight which cost 600+ only, excluding food and luggage la..end up i opt for MAS, slightly pricey but at least its so much comfortable..

and try consider ANA and Japan Airlines too..sometimes really can get low price..

Btw, can you guys share some info on the "Free seats" promo?
So far, all the flights i checked (to HoChiMinh and Cambodia), the fare price is not 0, does it mean the free seats for that flight all taken? And is the price now expected to increase before the free seats promo end?

Have you check one by one? Day by day. Because they offer quite a lot of seats for thailand, cambodia and vietnam

Big points are only applicable for flights, and also the flight add ons..

My flight to Taipei can check in begin 2days ago which was on Thurs, today I only remember. Shocked to see all the seat fully taken except those rm150. Been assigned to near the end (tail).

What the condition like? Suppose near window 3seats, but the pic shown one gap between two seats. Seat no from row 47 to 50.

I actually prefer those seats. Those are 2 seaters instead of 3 seaters.

Some ppl even purposely buy those seats.

Seoul - KUL you'll be checking out at KUL.
KUL - Penang quite sure you'll need to check in again so yea I'm sure you can leave the airport.

Hello there!

I need an urgent reply. I bought four return tickets for domestic flight and checked in yesterday, both for going and return. Today I received a call that two of them decided to bring their baggage in cargo, when we had agreed to carry them in the passanger seats before.

Is it possible for them to put the luggage in the cargo after I checked in our tickets early? They don't mind paying as our flight is on this coming Wednesday.

It would be nice for one to explain the procedure as I'm not really familiar with AirAsia.

Ah, yes. That is what I meant. Am I required to do add it before the day of depature, or can they do it over the counter during the day our flight?

Just to share an observation...

I wanted to buy and select seat for my confirmed AAX flight and there were many empty seats yesterday but when I check again today more than 100 seats have been booked. So fast meh?

Wonder if the information is accurate....

Hmm... kinda hard to believe. If it's 10 to 20 seats booked I can believe but over 100 booked at the same time and in sequence?

Day 3 Morning heading over Vientiane / VV

Since u want pay to buy seat but no much selection can try optionstown. Been assigned to back row near tail there. Those economy fully booked. So I try optionstown. Manage to get quiet zone and 3rows for 5paxs. Paid rm175 per way. They also have each person one row but more expansive. But if fail to get seat, don't know how much they will charge.

Just to check if I do a web check in online for international flights but I do not have a printer to print the pass, can I still do the check in online?

Is it quicker to check in online compare to at counter check in as I understand they still need to validate your online check in pass at the counter?

1. yes, need a printer
2. online no queue(free), check in counter have queue(need to pay)
not all destination require document validation only when its stated on the boarding pass
and document validation counter is a separated counter(in my experience)
if have check in luggage thn have to queue at check in counter

Does Air Asia still assign seats randomly if we don't buy seats? Haven't flown with them since 2012, I'm traveling in a family of 5 and at least several years ago Air Asia would randomly assign kids to sit on their own instead of with adults/parents.

Flying AAX KUL-PER and AA KUL-HKT

1. Domestic Ticket, you walk to counter ask them print even after u perform online check in. Charges is require. Print at Kiosk = Free.
2. International Ticket, no fees required if you walk to counter to collect tickets/check in. And some time you need to perform validation when the system detect you had print the ticket more than once. For certain countries, validation is compulsory. In short, checked in online. Bring your passport go to counter ask them print for you. Save your ink & electricity. And have a better quality tickets from the counters. Ticket from the counter provide higher accuracy in terms of gate changes and latest flight time if any. And of course, you still can print and walk in the check point if validation is not require. Save time also...


Yup. It's still randomly assigned to even out the balance of the flight.
Let them assigned first and re-adjust according to your preference. At least can save up 1 or 2 seats of price.

Just wondering, I notice that the seats are already assigned before I check-in. (Didn't buy and seat add on) Is there a possibility that the seat will change when I do the check-in? Because now the check-in is open 14days before the flight, dunno whether I should check in earlier to get better seat or not. (front)

how do u even know your seats already assigned before u even check in?

I can check the seat when I modify the booking. But it only display when it is near to the travel date. (I still can't see my seat assignment for the return flight)

they'll give u another one when u really check in
as for front, that one i can't guarantee because their system is pretty random

Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm not a frequent flyer so this is rather new to me. I'm still awaiting an email reply from air asia, which I doubt it will come anytime soon.

Regarding check in baggage, how many can I check in?
I purchased a 20kg weight.

1. Can I put multiple luggages as long as the weight does not exceed 20kg? Or it has to be a single luggage.

2. Is it safe to transport a TV?

2. I've heard of friends doing computer monitors before but there's always the risk. It's probably easier to just buy it from wherever you will be at. Otherwise, make sure you protect it properly. Even tagged fragile also the bag/box comes out kemek most of the time.
