i ask AA facebook, they reply with hiking backpack more then 30L will not allow into cabin. Even below 7kg.
this is suck... cause mostly all is 32L for small size backpack.
AA ticket not really cheap already..
find out Malindo offering more competitive price, the down side is covering less route.
Go Daiso, buy the biggest zip-lock vacuum bag (the one to put in pillow/bolster/quilt). Put your backpack into the vacuum bag, sit on top to push out the air, zip lock it. As long as it still fit into the metal measuring case, no airline can stop it as a handcarry.
If it doesn't fit into the metal measuring case, then buy add-on check-in luggage

True that... I saw Malindo offering some good deals on top of providing free baggage up to 30 KG .... Air Asia has became money hungry considering their motives on implementing this new rules. I don't get the fuss on hand carry weight limit . As we know everyone have different weight and if they want to charge like this should they charged more on the people who are obese ? We both pay the same ticket but the weight we carried are different . Would it be fair to charge people who is obese extra? Since the Extra kgs are cost too LOL
Dont' get started on the obese part. There was a big hoohaa in western world on full fledge flights very long time ago. Not even budget flights yet at that time

Google for more info. I think the conclusion is more towards human rights issue.
That is why you can wear cargo pants or photographer vest with lots of pockets, and stuff 2-10kg (depending how expert you are) of hand carry stuff into the pockets, but not into your 7kg handcarry bag

But don't over do it, as ground staff can ask you to take out those stuff to weigh.

Air Asia changed my time of flight without me realizing. Last year bought the ticket stated flying at 0100 but now when I check the timing at website is no longer available (Saja go check see price got increase or not)...
So I asked live chat what's happening. Mana tahu they say 0100 flight no more and moved to 0800 due to operational requirement. Any advise for me eg. my rights or any compensation???
As long as airlines offer other times or reschedule flights or provide accomodation/meals, if the delay does not exceed 4 or 6 hours (forgot), basically nothing much can be done. Goodwill/Compensation are on airlines basis, you may try lodge a complain to try, no harm.
