flying soon to Perth via AAX
just check the luggage fees is bloody expensive now! btw, any chance of bringing a cabin size 20" hardcase roller luggage onboard as hand carry? did that frequently on domestic, no one bother to stop me, but haven't tried that on AAX |

QUOTE(Immunityx7 @ Feb 9 2017, 02:03 PM) hi guise wanna ask can i transfer the 20kg luggage (paid & attached to passenger A ) to passenger B if passenger A didnt check in? cannot transfer, even if passenger A check-in, and didn't board you also cannot use his/her purchase luggage, both under the same transaction/reservation. when they find out passenger A didn't board the flight, they will take out your luggage from the cargo before flight |

My workstation laptop is already > 5kg
not including the extra batt, charger, and other accessories, all together my laptop bag is already slightly more than 7kg, haven't add in my powerbank which AA refused as a check-in cargo used to have no problem boarding AA with my laptop bag, and a light hand carry for my clothing & toiletries, which is < 4kg I think now I'll have to get my company to purchase extra check-in luggage just for that small hand carry as there's no way I'm gonna check in my laptop bag into cargo Also at times I hand carry my phantom drone with all it's spare batts, which is also > 7kg, there's no way I'm gonna check in that into cargo as well Seems like my company will prefer either Mas or Malindo more in the near future |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Mar 14 2017, 04:26 PM) Not always the case. Some professional photographers (underwater photographers too) mostly hand carry their precious equipments and that thing can be super duper heavy. Plus these people usually carry laptop and external HDD as well. I can see easily go above 7kg. no need pro photographer, my amatur camera backpack (1 slr body, 3 lens, flash, batts, laptop + charger) already almost 10kgSo they will have to look into investing in Pelican case or similar hard bags with lots of protection for their gears. Or just fly other airlines no issues bringing it on-board all these while, seems i'll have major issue bringing them for my future trips if using AA easiest solution and peace of mind, fly other airlines |

well, slow & long queues usually I put the blame on the passengers
All of my bag drops, either travelling alone or with my family, from single luggage to 4 pcs luggage, none of them took more than 5 minutes, but I see some passengers took longer than usual due to their over weight luggage, and try to sweet talk their way out from paying the extra luggage fees. Also from my experience, usually they'll open a special counter for those flights already calling, and announce it via PA system for those passengers for bag drop there, usually they'll do this when there is a long long queue. And again, some passengers had their head buried in their phone instead of listening to the PA announcement, I've seen many of such passengers. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Apr 30 2017, 07:26 PM) Oh my... 1.5 hours that's a very very close shave for connecting flightsKnowing AA's punctuality, I'll never take that risk my upcoming connecting flight (separate booking, between KLIA & KLIA2) end of this month is 3 hours due to change of schedule, and I'm already worrying like hell. so it's either 12 hours wait, or take risk with the 3 hours, and wifey decision goes with the latter keeping me fingers crossed |

QUOTE(MGM @ Jun 29 2018, 11:03 AM) Thanks for the reply but Sad to hear that. So no point sending in Feedback Eform to explain the missteps and to ask for refund? but your case is same name, same payment method, same date but different flight & time, so it's not considered double bookingWhat about under this condition of double-booking: https://support.airasia.com/s/article/What-...language=en_GB: Our systems will not allow you to make the same booking (same name, same payment method, same flight date & time) within 24 hours. Guests can request for a refund if the booking was duplicated e.g. guests performed more than 1 booking for flights with the same guest names, destinations, date and time. Departure date of the second booking must be within 24 hours from the departure date of the first booking. Please note the following: All refund requests must meet the following criteria: o Both bookings must be for the same date(s), flight sector(s) and destinations (origin and destination) o Both bookings must have the same guest name list o Must be submitted before the departure date of your flight. o We will maintain your first booking (based on the creation date and time) as a confirmed booking. Any approved refund requests will be processed for the 2nd or subsequent booking(s). However, if you use a different payment method or you accidentally make the same booking after 24 hours it will result in a double booking (two tickets with different reference numbers). If that is the case, please fill up the e-form to request for a refund: in "Case Category" select "Feedback" and in "Type" select "Website Booking/Check-In";. Fill up all mandatory fields marked with an "*". You will need to provide the reference number of both of your bookings. it's unlikely they'll give you the full refund and it's personal mistake instead of system error of double booking but nonetheless you still can try to appeal, no matter how low the chances are, still better than not trying at all, right? |

QUOTE(Puteih @ Jul 9 2018, 02:28 PM) Excuse me, I wanted to book a ticket to Japan and I’m not sure if I need to include bin/binti on my flight booking details. Some say no need, some say need (according to friends). I read a case where a passanger had trouble somewhere in middle eastern country where she didn’t put binti in her flight ticket. follow exact name that is printed on your passport, passport ada binti, then include, passport tak ada binti, then no need |

QUOTE(real55555 @ Nov 5 2018, 11:37 AM) Hi, I will be travelling Sandakan - Kota Kinabalu - Hong Kong on Airasia. I am just making a short trip and will not have any checked in lugage. I have checked in online for both sectors. straight to immigration counter will doWhat is the procedure when I reached Kota Kinabalu from Sandakan? Can I just walk to the immigration counter inside departure hall to transfer to internation departure terminal or do I have to do document verification at check in counter? I have only 2 hour transit so I really want to save time on unnecessary procedures. thx |

QUOTE(HHCC @ Feb 5 2020, 02:41 PM) Hello everyone, Taiwan its not restricted zone like China for the virus outbreak, doubt you can get refund or reschedule for itI have made a return flight booking with AirAsia for early March to/from Taiwan. Due to the coronavirus outbreak I would like to postpone or get a refund from AA. I have tried using their chat messenger AVA through their website and FB page but can't seem to get an answer. Do you guys know how I can contact AA customer service email address or telephone number. TQ. Taiwan so far the cases it's like Malaysia, few cases discovered and are in control, so it's relatively safe to travel over there, as all visitors has been to China for past 2 weeks are banned from entering IMO, it's the best time to visit Taiwan, as there will be zero annoying China tourists anyway, it's your own decision, most likely your tickets will be burned if you decided not to go |

QUOTE(scorgio @ Feb 16 2020, 09:05 PM) Actually the Chinese Govt banned their citizen from visiting Taiwan (free & easy or personal) since Aug 2019. Only tour groups allowed. those China free & easy/personal tourist usually are the more civilized one, those from the tour group are the worstSo it turns out to be a blessing in disguise. visited Taiwan few times, all of the bad experience are caused by the China tour group's uncivilized behavior, even saw a whole china tour group got force escorted out from national palace museum by the security team for causing ruckus & disturbance in there, I also only get a glimpse at the famous jade cabbage for a short 3 seconds before got shoved and pushed aside by those rowdy locusts. not to mention it's almost impossible to get a good shot of any famous scenery without those "locust" in the picture So actually now it's the best time to visit the national palace museum where you can admire all of the artifacts leisurely and in peace |
