hi guys, would like to seek your opinion. Has anyone of u successfully got the refund from air asia since the time is rescheduled. I received the email from them to give me options:

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused, and would like to offer you the following service recovery options

1. Move flight: Change to a new travel date on the same route within 6 months from original flight date without additional cost and subject to seat availability; OR

2. Credit Account: Retain the value of your fare in a credit account for your future travel with AirAsia. The online Credit Account to be redeemed within 90 calendar days from the date of issue; OR

3. Refund: Obtain a full refund in the amount equivalent to your booking .
For me i would prefer option 3 full refund but how long does it takes? or perhaps option 2 should be the better one if faster since im going travel 5x or 6x per year anyway lol

I received such an email before from AirAsia. However, I chose the Move Flight option since I have already made other travel bookings so I cannot comment on the other 2 options given. But just to share that the option to Move Flight was easily done through their live chat customer service. You just need the patience to wait at least half an hour to be attended to.

live chat is not as convenient as before, because nowadays, 1 hour waiting is not unusual. Anyway, I got into that situation once, but AA give me a link to online form (or probably from my online booking account.. cant remember). I just click my choice, and click submit. Done in 1 second..

Gosh, lucky you then. Strange why they just can't provide that link when they send out the notification email about the flight cancellation. Also, the live chat forces you to the back of the queue if your line drops which is the most frustrating part.

Previously airasia's term was called FLY-THRU, jez to make sure.

i arrive KLIA2 11:50, next layover flight is 14:30 is it ok to take this layover flight?
Im sick of calling them without answer & waiting for online chat for ages

Is your flights booked under the same booking number (PNR)? If so, then it is a transit flight without the need to recheck-in your luggage

yes, layover is transit, provided both sectors of your flight is booked under same booking.

for eg, if u book kuching to seoul, you will get flights like this:
kuching to kul, [2h layover], kul to seoul.

then yes u no need exit immigration.

but if you book separately, then have to recheck in.

dear members,
Did you all face this kind of issues before? Can help me on this?
My flight should be on 03 Jun 2018 but it has been changed to 17.3 and need payment...Why there is alteration on my booking and I do not get any notification?
I've called their customer service saying that I've change it which I do not.
She sd cant change it and asking me to pay for it then can board the flight on 17.3..
Meaning I have to pay double...
What kind of system they are using? Shouldn't it be remain as previous instead of changing before the payment been made.. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Do make a trip down to their service center and speak to them directly. Such so called 'reschedule' is very common especially for flights booked and paid months earlier in advance. Recently just got my flight rescheduled but luckily still within the 2 hours duration.

Encountered before flight to beijing being rescheduled from 10pm to the very next day morning lol. All i can say is Airasia is really efficient in making other's holiday planning miserable.

I am planning to purchase my travel insurance from Tune Protect since Eva Airline no cover the travel insurance for my year end Taiwan trip.

Any comments? Cause I compare with others insurance company rate, Tune Protect is most cheapest but I am not sure whether did I overlook any important area which no insurance cover.
