If you do not have a Current or Savings Account with Maybank but you want a Maybank2U online account to check your Maybankard 2 Cards transactions, you need to go to a Maybank branch to get it done. Better that you inform the officer that you want the Maybankard 2 Visa or MasterCard as the main account and add your Maybankard 2 Amex to it. However if you want your Maybankard 2 Amex to be the main card for the account, when you first log in to register username add 0 to the 15 digits of your Amex card. 2. This is a 2 cards combo - AMEX together with master/visa, you CANNOT cancel the master/visa and activate the AMEX alone.

I wonder if enroll means merchant has to deduct from bill at least once. For example for Astro I have negative balance. and don't think they can deduct for a few months.

You can use FD pledging CC, but it locks your money in FD , In my case, im surprise they processed my card within a day to my door.

So far, the only repayment loan I heard that can accept CC as payment method is PTPTN. LOL

They definitely won't allow all types of loan repayment using cc. Everybody will start doing it & banks will have to fork out more cashback than ever before. Lol

Min income 60k as stated, but they need your income slip,6 months bank statement to prove u are entitle.
in my case, i use alot m2u for e-fd savings and other card payments. So they can track my spending style ..
otherwise use FD pledging method over the counter.

I thought of applying this maybank 2 gold just for the purpose of 5% cashback on weekend for petrol, however I did a tiny research and found out that this is a new promo by maybank, means at anytime they can change again right? (eg: 5% cashback on everything change to 5% cashback for dining only)

Actually it's an old benefit, but they took it away last year and limit to dining only. Then they just brought it back again for every transaction.
IMO no harm getting since there is no AF, and I actually prefer their CB since it's for ALL transactions and not limited to categories or even specific merchants like other banks..

No need bank statement. I have never submitted my bank statement for any cards application.
Though banks may require only payslip or EPF statement, I will still submit both. Sometimes they only require one month latest payslip, I will give three months latest.

Actually they took it away since August 2015, not last year.

But the only difference is the complimentary insurance coverage for PLAT.
If you do not purchase air tickets that often by yourself, having GOLD is same as having PLAT (unless nak bergaya la hehe)

Is the MBB line pretty busy or bad this past week? I reenter my PIN twice a few times today. No problems approving my transaction but keying in twice plus the long wait gets on my nerves. Before the PIN system it wasn't like that, the part where it prints the receipt after the amount is keyed is almost instantaneous. Anyway, I have been only using the AMEX cause of the cashback.

No issue for me today. I used three times today via my MBB VS but the merchant is using PBB terminal.

Just get approved for my Maybankard 2 Platinum after appeal with all supporting documents via email, before that, keep rejected by MBB due to PTPTN.
For those who interest, probably can send all supporting documents such as FD, ASNB, bank statement, payslip, tenancy agreement and it definitely will help.
