Looks like that is the max CL they are willing to give you. You could call and tell them to split your CL to get Maybank2 card. Is it worth it for you to hold so many cards?

QUOTE(kenlui @ Apr 18 2017, 10:10 AM) Oh yeah u're right but I usually pay my monthly statement in full, so when the minimum payment shows 0 it is 0 for my case. Not applicable for thos who dont settle their monthly bill in full. Easiest is to pay statement balance in full. I like to time my spending as I will spend on the card that the statement comes a bit later to earn the full 20 days interest free

QUOTE(KHOdin @ Apr 18 2017, 08:46 PM) just got my Maybank 2 card today...how come is it VISA ? i though it will be one master and one AMEX can i request them to change it to master card instead ? My advise don't change this. Get al-Ikhwan MC as well. This way you will have all 3 cards from Maybank.

the best option to get Ikhwan is to split your credit from any Maybank CC

QUOTE(MGM @ Apr 25 2017, 02:30 PM) I think MBB made a big mistake of taking off the 5% weekend CB previously. The big pools of Amex users decided not to use the Amex card n subsequently merchants also stop accepting d card. All its effort of building up biz for Amex just gone down d drain. Hope MBB learns the lesson n retains this benefit. Had really nothing to do with more or less users using AMEX. One of the main issue is that AMEX charges a higher fees for the merchant compared to Visa or Master hence the decision to drop AMEX

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Apr 30 2017, 07:17 PM) Seem like Maybank is smart playing the click bait to pay income tax with credit card. RM500 x 200 winners if you pay with Amex. I almost wanna pay but the 0.8% is pain in the ass. well if you paid on weekend you still make effective 4.2% cashback why not plus a chance to win RM500

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 1 2017, 12:01 AM) Really? There is cashback for government transaction too? You get for anything you spend on Sat and Sun but note the max cashback is RM50 per month. So if the charges are more than what you get back then you lose to try to use card

QUOTE(David83 @ May 6 2017, 07:34 PM) You can even buy a sandwich or a cup of Americano with CC at their convenience store. Lots of the more advance countries accepts CC as a better form of payment because they don't have to be scared to be robbed. I swipe my CC with only 1 pound purchase at Sainsbury UK

Agreed its sad. The banks needs to charge lower fees and encourage the people to use cards. If more people use the cards they will also make it back because the volume is up

QUOTE(adele123 @ May 6 2017, 11:39 PM) If they charge lower fees, bank earn less, we get less rebate. Serious. That's why mbb had to remove the rebate last round. In fact many banks had to revise bemefit down around the same period. And even if bank charge lower fees, merchant will not pass savings back to consumer. So ya, i like my credit cards now. What I meant is if the bank charge the merchant 0.5% fee compared to 2% then the merchant would be more likely to accept/encourage card payments. Most of the merchant don't accept certain card or card because of the fees involved. Its always about the volume and how much the banks can make if overseas bank charge less to their local merchant this should work in Malaysia too. I don't know what will affect the CB/rebates from banks

QUOTE(nova80 @ May 9 2017, 09:34 AM) Last year they send me new card due to some security update. I activated only the Amex card, but not the Master. Status on maybank2u also shows the same. Can I cancel the mastercard without getting any chagrges? Its called Maybank2 card for a reason. You can't just cancel one of them. Either you cancel both or cancel none

QUOTE(GamaX320 @ May 13 2017, 08:49 AM) Sorry to keep asking same question again Nowadays you can easily find out. Go to any petrol station in the city and then put your AMEX in the pump and if its recognize and ask you for the pin than it accepts AMEX. Kind of annoying in the forum if the same person ask the same question more than 3 times. Just my 2 cents

QUOTE(Watta?? @ May 21 2017, 03:12 PM) Hi Guys, lil question here. I've just gotten my maybank 2 cards in Feb 2017 with a credit limit of RM6k per month. However, Im spending like RM12k a month and need to clear my credit card debts like every week to make sure all my transactions can go through smoothly. I've given Maybank a call and they told me that I can only get a credit limit increase after a year of using the card. Do you guys know of any other way I can get an increase ASAP? Would really appreciate some insights for you guys! PS. I've never had a late payment before and superb credit history on all my other credit cards, phone bills, insurance payments and things like that For permanent increase you need to have your supporting document like your latest 2 months salary and the standard is like 2 X your monthly salary limit

I think Maybank did not give me the correct CB for May. If I add all of them together and calculate 5% out of it, the CB should be 4.4. For the sifu here could you shed some light or I need to call CS to get this sorted out Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(chiahau @ Jun 16 2017, 11:42 AM) Depends on your usage? If you are spending mostly on Amex, you can get the M2 Premier. Comes with the Amex Reserve for 5X points ( T&C applies ) If you are more well to do and can tahan 1k AF upfront, the world mastercard is a better option. RM 2 : 5 points ( RM 1 : 2.5 points but its a mastercard so acceptance rates should be higher than AMEX ) Be warned, M2P requires 80k spending to waive and World Mastercard requires 120k spending to waive the AF next year. If your spending is > 100k per year, you can easily redeem a business class flight to London depending on where you redeem the points. For more info, please refer to the Frequent Flyer's thread or etc. I am not qualified to give opinion on this matter yet My opinion if purely wants to max CB the great combo would be M2C (Amex & Visa), Ikhwan and throw in PB VS and Quantum. You will have all grounds covered

QUOTE(JamesBotak @ Jun 17 2017, 06:25 AM) Does it makes any difference which combo we get: Amex & Visa Or Amex & Mastercard Doesn't make any difference just that if you get M2C Amex & Visa then if you get Al Ikhwan it only comes in MC. For me I have this so I have all kind of card type covered
