Just pledge FD if u want.
But the only difference is the complimentary insurance coverage for PLAT.
If you do not purchase air tickets that often by yourself, having GOLD is same as having PLAT (unless nak bergaya la hehe) thumbup.gif

anyone dine at the hotels mentioned before and get the discounted price? 50% discount for two diners is real good deal

QUOTE(spreeeee @ Apr 18 2017, 04:56 PM)
yeah.. wanted to know too.. looks good deal.. almost like b1f1..

I called before and according to them, 50% is only applicable for super premium cards. Premium cards are only entitled for 20%. But I didn't get to ask them what card is under super premium and what card is under premium.

Still, getting TAC from SMS faster. Using secure2u need unlock your phone and open the app...
*
Yeah, still a fan of SMS TAC. CIMB has the Secure TAC pretty long ago but I don't use it because it's more of an inconvenience to me.

Never rely on credit card insurance. The coverage is not even the bare minimum.

Always try to get your own travel insurance for peace of mind.

Anyone who upgraded from Gold to Plat got their Gold terminated? That day all my BT was automatically transfered to the Plat. Then yesterday, my Spotify auto debit on my Gold was declined. sweat.gif

Auto-debit you have to arrange yourself because card no. is different.

But shouldn't be my old card is still active? Maybank told me that since I've the Plat they deactivate my Gold.

I thought I can hold both until I cancel it myself confused.gif

Haiz.... should i write an official email to Maybank & cc BNM to tell them kinda pointless have maybank 2 card... the Amex basically is useless majority of merchant not accept amex anymore, today i buy book at Boarders they reject , lunch at Ben's Reject Amex ,  buy clothe at padini reject... sigh....
*
It's up to the merchant on what they want to accept. If the merchant wants the place to be cash only, they can do as they like. Can you write to complain on that?

How you know the forex rate is up or down during your travel?

In overseas, I can also get cash back and TP. laugh.gif
laugh.gif Yeah how do you know? I'm curious too. laugh.gif
I always use CC if possible. biggrin.gif

Check forex websites. Not spot on accurate but good enough to gauge.

QUOTE(chiahau @ May 7 2017, 12:37 PM)
Same.

I hardly carry cash when I'm travelling unless for those road side stalls and places who don't accept CC.

Very troublesome when you keep spending, you can't keep track of the money lol

That's why I love first world countries. Anywhere you go, credit card is accepted.

There are times when I travel, I come back with more than 50% of currencies left because I swipe for everything that accept cards. And with the weak MYR recently, not too bad the forex gain tongue.gif
